Have my little gays gone? Oh where oh where can they be? With their pants cut low and their hair cut long, oh where oh where can they be?
Really though, no posts since 12:55 AM yesterday?!?!? I know Jamie and Ben are gone, and Mike is running around town, but where is everyone else???

We've been quite busy. There has been no time for play.
I had to take the dog to the groomers on Saturday. I took myself to groomer (haircut) today. Overnight, we simmered a fabulous sauce (Italians call it gravy :confused3) and had a nice meal with the family.
All the chores are still not done, but this is the first time we've had to sit down and take a break since 6 p.m. on Friday! :scared1:
Maybe others will come back on line tonight too.

Italians call it "gravy" I saw "grave" before the edit:rotfl: :rotfl: I think the reason is this: A gravy is a sauce made with meat drippings...most Italians make their sauces with some kind of meat..(pork is my choice) hence gravy vs sauce.
I've been enjoying my baby chicka's homecoming! Last night we looked like a hipper version of the Brady Bunch! My oldest made homemade bread and meatballs (I made the gravy!) and after dinner we played Disney's Scene It! which I got for my birthday...here's the scary part: Young chicka and I are the ones who go to Disney every year...elder chicka would rather be hit by a mack truck....but she beat the pants off of us and knew the most obscure Disney stuff. I'm beginning to think she's really a CIA agent cause I've no idea where she gets her info!
(a little brag here): Last Thursday she took her sister to her favorite gay bar and afterwards I came to pick them up. The most adorable waiter thought we were all sisters and said " Why! my Mama is UGLY!!!!!" I nearly fell over, especially when he said he thought elder chicka was older than me! :lmao: :lmao: Ah... I love it!

Which is what I've been doing this afternoon. Interestingly, my Mom's family (Mom's second generation American, he grandmother came from Sicily) never called sauce "gravy". I never heard that until I met Italians from the east coast. I wonder if it's a regional thing here in our country, cuz I didn't hear it refered to as gravy in Italy, either (granted my Italian isn't all that good, and I was relying on menus translated into English, so who really knows)
Okay, enough of my little tangent, I've got to go boil pasta now . . .

I'm originally from Brooklyn, so you very well may be right that it is a regional thing. Tonight it's chicken cacciatori...I may not be able to spell it(:confused3) , but I can cook it.

It's comming around to pasta time on my menu as well. I tend to make a big pot of sauce and eat pasta for a week, then take a week or so off for "other" foods. I make my sauce with meatballs and spicy italian sausage in it :thumbsup2

I've been working loooooooooong hours. I came home today after 9 hours and it seemed like the middle of the day. Best part is there is something yummy-smellin' bubblin' away in the crock-pot. Probably something with "gravy" -- given our deluge of maters...
I'm here, I'm here ... but I've been traveling all over the country and have a 12 hour trip in front of me this evening ... but after that I should be back in town for a couple weeks and in more contact!!!
