I had the best surprise yesterday. I have been helping my DSis and DBIL plan their October WDW trip. They only wanted to stay at WL (on the MYW + dining package). I called the day that the Fall specials came out and there were no discounted rooms for WL, so I booked the package at full price (something that is against my WDW "religion" :)!!). I kept trying to talk DBIL into switching to SS or OKW, saving almost $800, but he ONLY wanted to stay at WL. I was getting ready to call WDW yesterday morning to pay off their package when I thought I would take one more look at the WDW website, just in case a discount was available for WL. I swear I almost screamed when one popped up (and I was at work so that would not have been a good thing) :)!!!! They had previously booked a woods view bunkbed room and a courtyard bunkbed room was available at the discount for a savings of $496 :). I made the reservation and paid the deposit while my heart was racing (I LOVE getting a bargain). I called my DBIL and asked him how much he loved me. He said a lot and I asked how much he would love me if I just saved him $496 on his WDW trip!! Needless to say, he was a VERY happy camper. If it weren't for the fact that I'm headed to WDW in 7 days :), I would have insisted that he take me with them as a show of his appreciation. I guess it just goes to show that it's never too late.
