Oh my, I'm going to be exhausted by the time our trip rolls around. Here I am 2 weeks out and I'm too excited to sleep! I think my husband thinks I'm nuts! :rolleyes1 But I'm just super excited I can't stand it!!!
Anyone else having trouble with this or am I just a freak?

:rotfl2: Besides the vomit and sleeplessness, I don't know what we are going to do!
Tylenol PM does it for me. My kids are older and do not need my attention at night, so out I go! It really helps the night before the trip. I stress about what I have packed or what I THINK I haven't packed.

I am reading your pre-trip report right now and I am getting excited for you! We are 9 months away from our trip which is about where you were when you started the report, so it is also getting me excited!!! I hope you have a wonderful time (and try to get some sleep already!!)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Yep, not sleeping and wanting to throw up due to excitement, not necessarily a good combo.:rotfl2:
I just took a peek at your Pre-trip report and we have something else in common other than the vomit and lack of sleep - we are celebrating our anniversary at Disney as well, also on 9/23!:woohoo: For us it's 12 years! I know it's early but Happy Anniversary!!!

P.S. Here I am again, wide awake at 12:42am. :rolleyes1

Have to ask, when did this start for you?, :confused3 because we are three weeks out now and I may need to start taking my Advil P.M. now. I was trying to save them for like the flight to and from, but I don't want to have too many sleepless nights now or I will be too tired when I get there.
My mind is already starting to do the thing where I lay in bed and go over what I need to do and "do I have everything I need." Yikes, better stock up on the P.M.'s.
Enjoy your magical trip

It started right about the 3 week mark. I just can't help the excitement! Plus, I'm someone that packs early. Since we're surprising the kids I can't do that! I have to wait until the night before to break out the suitcases! So, I have a laundry basket piled with clothes in it that I want to make sure we have ready to go. (mainly the kid's stuff and some of mine) The kids will just assume it's clothes I need to put away. :cool2: Pretty sneaky, eh??:upsidedow Needless to say I can't stop going over in my brain what we'll need, I have a list I keep adding stuff to! It's crazy!

OMG I am leaving in one week from today :dance3: :cool1:  I am a wreck! I haven't been able to sleep for a couple of weeks now. I am so exhusted but have a million things going through my head.
My DH thinks i'm nuts too. He has no clue at all! To tell you the truth I had no clue either how much goes into planning a family trip to DW! Wow! I know it'll be more than worth it in the end though. :cloud9:
I am in panic mode. I am sitting here writing out my index cards. I still have to pack. My DS (5) has soccer 2 nights this week. We have meet the teacher one night. I'm getting my hair done Tuesday... my house is a disaster and I have a ton of laundry to do... no wonder I can't sleep lol.
Thanks for the panic vent :upsidedow

I know how you feel. And with our trip being a secret it's even harder. My son has football 6 days a week. We have Back to School night tomorrow night, I'm getting my hair cut as well, etc, etc....
I can't tell his coach or teacher until the day before because after keeping this a secret for so long there is no way I'll risk one of them saying something by mistake. It's crazy!
Thankfully I'm slowly putting things aside or I'd go nuts!
Just typing this, my stomach is all in knots!:lmao:

Just got back! You guys better rest up!!
We got home Fri. night, I slept all night Fri.
all day Sat. and Sat. night!!
You know Disney is not a relaxing vacation. Unless you do not plan to do to much or you are lucky enough to stay at least 2 weeks!
The heat KILLED us!
I hope you all have a great time!

The heat isn't an issue for us. We spend a lot of time at the pool or water parks. This is the same time of year we always go and we LOVE it!!!
Glad you had a great time!!

I'm over 2 months away...and it's driving me nuts that I can't pack now! I want it to all be done and ready, so I can relax. I don't know how you do it, keeping it a secret...I could never be that strong! I wish I could.
But being so obsessed with the planning ends up backfiring on me. The last time we went (over 6 years ago and that was our first time!) I used these boards and got such great advice. Our vacation went so smoothly that hubby thinks going to WDW is no big deal as far as planning. :lmao: I figure he must be counting on the same little planning fairies to make it all run smooth this time as well. You should see him roll his eyes when I'm on here....the other night he even said..."We have over 2 months to go yet...what could you possibly accomplish now?" ERRGHHH

MEN! They are so blissfully clueless sometimes, you just gotta love them. I agree, if the men only knew all the went into a Disney trip! So much time, effort, etc. It's fun though!!!
That two months will be up before you know it!
