I thought I saw somewhere on this board that at one time refillable beer glass/mugs were available. We just booked the 4-night cruise on the Wonder that leaves 9/10/07. It's my husband's first DCL cruise and my second, but I don't remember seeing (but didn't actually look) for the beer option. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, there is a refillable beer mug. It costs about $15 for the mug, and then for the price of a 16oz beer you get a 22oz refill. I don't exacts, but I believe drafts are around $3 - 4.00 range. I am going this route on our upcoming cruise!

Cheers,
Pee

As far as I know they still do that. The best part is that if you do buy one, and decide to go the a Disney cruise again, you can bring it with you and just get refills.:cool1:

Oh yes, make sure to buy the refillable mug. I think my husband got his is the sports bar, we're getting ready to pack his for our third cruise, so its been well worth the money

Here is a pic the refillable beer mug.....it is heavy, though....it is glass, not plastic. I had posted this before so folks had an idea of what size it was....it is next to a "tall" sized Starbuck's cup.

Wow! Thanks for all the info everyone. Since we also be sailing on the Mexican Riviera cruise next year, my husband will definately want to purchase the beer mug.:woohoo:

actually, it's more of a "mug exchange" than a "refillable mug" -- just turn in your old mug for a new one each time. And I asked for a clean mug the last night so I wouldn't have beer-smelly clothes when I got home.

True, they usually do "exchange" your mug. However, since I have one of the ESPN Skybox mugs (they don't make those anymore), I always just have them refill it. I don't want to take a chance of losing it.

They'll even refill the ESPN mugs??? They were selling the last of those in 2005, so I got one of those plus a regular one. I think I'll rent it to my buddy that's going on our next cruise. ;)

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but just found it on a search and wanted to thank the OP for the info! Will definitely get one of these for DH. Does anyone know what beers they have on tap?

Thanks again.

Beth :)

Good bump, I didn't know about these (I don't think they had them in 2000 when I last cruised) and I definitely will be getting one this time around. :)

They still had ESPN mugs that they were trying to get rid of in Dec.. At the end of the 7 nts we specifically asked for them to exchange them with the DCL ones.
