Transportation from Tampa

We waited too long to book our flight from DFW to MCO and now the best fare is $275.00. We can fly to Tampa for $217.00. We did this last trip and it was OK (good to save money).

Is there a car service from Tampa (and back) to WDW?

It may get kind of expensive since it's a 1 hour drive. You might be better off renting a car for 1 day each way.

How did you get from tampa to orlando last time?

As far as I know, renting a car is the least expensive option.

Last trip we did rent a car. As far as the time to WDW it wasn't too much longer than from MCO. However their were only four of us . Now we have six in our party and we will need a bigger car for the two extra people and luggage (wife, 3 daughters, 1 son in law).
Also, we didn't want to keep a car for the whole week since we didn't need it so we returned to the National desk by the Car Care Center. We then picked up a car on our last day to go back to Tampa.

I wasn't the biggest hassle but as I get older I'm looking to cut down hassles and increase time in WDW. :-)

I'm not sure there is a better way than renting... we also looked into this for our trip last November. You're right about the driving times....

I see Dollar is onsite at tampa airport.

Perhaps you could rent a 8 pass minivan from them,

return it at their site at dt disney, and pickup another car from the same dt site to return to tampa.
