Florida Resident Discount

So I kind of have a weird questions here. We already have a package booked during free dining. My father, who is a Florida Resident, has decided to join us for a couple of days. I (a non Florida Resident) would like to take care of booking his room for him (as well as pay for it as a nice surprise). Will I be able to call and book/pay for the room with the Florida Resident discount because the person actually STAYING in the room will be a Florida Resident?

The only way to get the Florida Resident rate for his room, is if it is in his name. And I'm not sure, but I believe payment has to come from a card with a Florida address as well..

Thank you very much! I plan on putting the reservation in his name, but I was hoping to pay for it myself. I am going to give Disney a call tonight when I have a moment and see what they say. I will keep my fingers crossed! Thanks again!
