A tattoo that Margaritaville (well, Jimmy Buffett) fans can (possibly) appreciate...

Here's a picture of my boyfriends newest tattoo. His inspiration comes from all of our trips to Universal. This was just his first 7 hour sitting for this particular tattoo...he's got a long way to go. As you can see, the only part that's been finished yet is the part paying homage to Margaritaville/Buffett. It's been neat seeing peoples reactions to the "lost shaker of salt". The artwork is really incredible and so detailed. There's even woodgrain in the tiki mask. The artist is our friend Dietsch out of Skinwerks. Anyway, I thought maybe a few of you Parrotheads (or just Margaritaville) fans might like to see it. :goodvibes

the detail is great! Did he do the 7 hours at once? What else are they planning on doing..... It looks finished to me, lol. But then my DH goes for 6 hours at a time and I ask him the same thing, and then he comes home from the next appointment and I always say " OH yeah, that does look better" . Thanks for posting the pics!

Yeah, he did the 7 hours at once...to which he said "never again!". I'm not sure what else the tattoo will incorporate, he gave the artist a bunch of pictures and the artist drew the first part that you see above. When he goes for his next sitting, he'll bring the pictures again and let the artist interpret them as he wishes. The part of the tattoo that's completed covers the front portion of his lower leg, when it's finished it'll wrap all the way around. :goodvibes
