Our due date is TODAY. If I get everyone's by Friday, I can go ahead and take pictures and maybe get them out to you on Monday (a week before I thought I could!). You're going to love the stuff from this swap!!

So, I've been trying to get Buffy's AK swap done. I thought I had some paper for my second Camp Minnie-Minnie elements. Couldn't find it. So I found a backup, but I wasn't liking how it was coming together, but managed to get something that looked decent, but it seemed more general AK. Then I went on a fiber search for the tag. Found the bag with the paper I couldn't find.

How lucky are you, that's always been a dream of mine. Can't wait to hear all about it.......BTW did you go to the MK BBB? any pics of it, I'm surprising DD with it when we go in Jan and want to make up the perfect pages for it.

I got all my stuff packaged up today (it's very full) and will go postal tomorrow. Brooke, I placed a note on one of my Camp M-M baggies, please make sure I get that one back.....I can't find anymore letters in town and Michaels won't have them for 2 more weeks :headache: but all the others are complete. :banana:

I had so much fun putting these together that there is a little something extra in each of my groups.

Yes, being grand marshals was so cool! I was so excited!! Even my parents really got into it (they aren't Disney people. . .haven't been there in 24 years). I'll post more about it and pictures as soon as I get everything edited. Clarabelle Cow rode in the car with us.

I'm excited to see everything!! We took 550+ pics just in our 2 days at the AK, so I'll have lots of pics to use with my stuff!! :banana:

Still haven't worked on anything besides the "accidental" elements. I just got my scrap space reorganized again, and my Bargain Pack order is coming, hopefully Thursday. Checking in. I haven't even started. I got home sunday. I'm glad I picked dinoland. I actually saw the dinosaurs and got pictures with them while we were there.
Gave me some ideas.
I was so mad while I was in line for the tricerotops spin ride, the dream squad showed up. We walked in to the line and then past the turnstile and the dream people stopped the people behind us and gave out dream fast passes to them and the rest of the line behind us. So close. That was the second time that happened to us. The other time was at StarTours. The group in the next car got dream fast passes. So close but so far.
I can't really complain because we got them in december in AK and MK.
Sorry to rant. I also have larengitis and can't talk. this is my only communication. Thanks for listening.:rotfl:

Not close to starting on this yet! Nearly done with the tag swap then need to do Susie's and the surprise one ...will think about what I'll be doing and try to get a prototype done this weekend as I will be done with the tags. We went to the lion king show and nemo show and I loved them so much. Must say that Animal Kingdom is really growing on me as a park....hmmm that sounds odd...kinda like something is really growing on me...it is way too early for me to be awake!

SIOH & Susie hope you guys are feeling better. I have been so sick all week. I just can not shake this thing. I am hoping to do mine today or tomorrow and get them in the mail on monday. I did have a quick ? for you guys. I originally said I would do a mini file folder, but it's kinda small. would anyone mind if i did the sizzix file folder #2? its a little over 5 1/2 by 4 1/2 but its not a folder. i don't know why they call it that. it's more of a divider of sorts.....i just want to make sure it's ok before i do it. i will do the mini one if that's what you want. this is my 1st swap of stuff so what's the etiquette for switching at the last minute????

Nah, we all seem to change our minds in one swap or another. I'll be changing mine too. I've decided I don't want to do the topper. I got a good look at the Dinosaur sign, and I'm just not up to trying to duplicate it. Not sure what I'm replacing it with, but I better figure out soon. ;)

i have another question for you guys.....

if i wanted to do tags and they have to be double matted and i'm doing them on my cricut what size do i do? i did them at 4 and then 4 1/2 but they look a little funny. then i did them at 3 1/2 and 4 and they look funny too. i did the round top ones and the pointed top ones. what sizes do you guys do????

and do you do them on your bug???

I stress out ALL the time about these swaps.
Since this isn't the Surprise Swap, I would say it is okay to post a pic.

What I did was use a nice card stock for the folder itself. Then on in inside I put two mats of printed paper or textured cardstock would work. I made the front pretty (I had really cool cloth labels that I used). I also did make a single sheet die cut for an insert. This also just got the mats adhered to front and back. It doesn't sound like much, but if you use good paper, it looks great! It ends up being a mini folder book.

For my tags, I used the George cart. Set at 4 inches is plenty big enough. THEN using a different paper (textured or patterned) I cut the same size in Sihouette feature. You can then use either the outside border and adhere it to your first tag, or use the inside piece and adhere it to your tag. Voila! Double matted. (when I make double sided tags, I do both on the same tag, just different sides) Or you can just cut the Shadow feature, glue it behind your first tag and it is double matted.

Ok. I couldn't find beads I liked to make my altered paper clips. Sorry everyone. So I am making a library pocket and tag (still using my bone bead. :)) I have them designed - just need to print and assemble. Should be pretty soon. Maybe today.:flower3:

party of 3--for a double-matted tag, I just cut it at 4 inches (usually) on the George cartridge (it's the shift button and then K). That's the tag, and then turn the shadow feature on and use the shift button and then the K button (leaving it at 4), and that makes the back. I think AWM's directions made more sense than mine! ;)

AWM you're the bomb!!!!!! i did it, i did it!!!!!!!!!!

i had complete anxiety over this thing. i broke out my cricut, which i only used once, but i did it. but stupid me used my swap paper thinking i could do it on the 1st shot! WRONG! i only had 2 pieces of it too! i have NO idea where i got it, but loved it and i managed to get enough of what i needed even with all the mess ups!!!!!

i gonna post a pic so you can tell me if it looks ok or not. i also want to add either a eyelet or fiber on the top of the tags let me know what you think would look better.

oh and do i post the pic here or somewhere else????

I can't tell you how much paper I messed up forgetting to cut the first sheet right so it would align up the right way. Poor Tinkerbell was upside down on the second tag. Had to get more paper to cut it right.

I cut and put together my frames & mats. The plan was to use the "Dinosaur" Fastpass pin as my embellishment-inspiration. Well, the colors on the pin are purples & white. The frames & mats look more like something for Haunted Mansion. So I'm going to finish embellishing them with eyelets & brads & include the fastpass clipart for you to adhere if you wish, or use as is. Is this okay? If not, let me know so I can go shopping tomorrow for something else. Thanks.

I'm done - these will go postal tomorrow! For Asia -I added a packet of photo corner embellisments to match the journal box because I didn't double mat the paper piecing (an elephant with the word asia on it and a fancy embellished thing on his forehead - initially I had wanted to do the tiger but he looked weird with the thing on his head!) And Asia being such a short word looked real silly on a 2x8" topper so I stuck the letters on the elephant! I've labelled my prototypes/ones I'm not that happy with to come back to me - thanks!
