Packaging/Mailing Instructions:

1. Slip each card/envelope into a baggie or you may use saran wrap for a larger card. Label the baggie with your DIS name, real name and group number.
2. Send your cards in a large (gallon-size) bag for protection. Mark the bag with your DIS name and real name and groups numbers. I will reuse the bag to mail the cards back to you.

You may have your cards returned by
1)priority mail--$4.60.
If you choose this option please include a $4.60 stamp (cannot be metered) and an index card with your mailing address printed clearly on it.
If you are sending a priority stamp, do not send an envelope as I can get them at the post office.
Also, if you send cash, please send $4.60 only.
2)self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) that is included in the package that you mail to me.
The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount that it takes to mail to me. Do not send a metered stamp on this envelope.
To ensure that enough postage will cover the returned swap items, include four additional stamps (25cents). These will be returned if not used.

If everything arrives by the due date, I plan to have it all swapped out in 3 or 4 days. We all know life events happen, so if you are experiencing a problem, please post or pm me and we will work something out! IF it all arrives earlier, I will get it out earlier!

Can I just check there's no specific size for this? Obviously not going to extremes, but standard A5/A6 or thereabouts? Depending on orientation or fancy shaping, of course.:confused3

I've had an

If you end up with lots of groups with just one or two people in, how about having a "mixed" group where people say what topic they're going to do (like a recipe swap). *** some poeple might only need one of a type, so wouldn't sign for a single topic group but would be happy to get one!

I like that idea - it's like buying an assorted box of cards :)

Yes, I agree with this too!

Uodated to here.

MazdaUK------That card size would be great--soime do the smaller, some the bigger; that is part of the fun!

I like the idea of combining the groups for an assortment! How do those of you who are in some of the smaller groups feel about that, if you haven't already spoken up?

I can do a set of sympathy cards if it doesn't throw off the count. Not sure how you are planning on combining groups...

MazdaUK
09-12-2007, 06:01 AM
Speaking purely for myself, I'm happy with a smaller group for some (say 4, if that's what we get :goodvibes ) and would sign up for one or two "mixed" groups -that would allow us to add Mother's Day and Father's day (as I don't really need 6 each of those:rotfl: ) if someone wanted to make them.

But lets see what happens by close today and then our kind hostess can make the call. :)

ksjayhawks

Okay, sign ups are done.

These groups will be left as is and you can start making your cards!
Thank you (6)
Sympathy (4)
Birthday-men (5)
Birthday-women (6)
General Birthday (6)
Generic (6)

I think we will drop valentine's since only one person signed up.

Question for clh2, MazdaUK, jennyL, TCPShauna:

Do we want to combine Christmas specific--4-- and general winter holiday--2--or leave them as they are? That would put 6 in the group if we combine them.

Let me know your opinion by Friday.

clh2

Darn - Valentine's day is the one I need the most ideas from. But a card swap with 1 isn't really a card swap. :sad1:

As far as your question about the Christmas/Holiday cards - I am OK if we combine, or OK if we leave them separate. If we do combine - I only want to be on the list 1-time - I hope that makes sense.

After re-thinking it, I think I will withdraw from the Winter group. I don't really want Christmas cards and I don't want to buy the supplies to only make two winter cards.

I'll just do all of my other groups.

Thanks!
