Our Best Trip - Part 8 Last Day

Friday, February 23, 2001 - I can't believe that we have to go home today. Mickey called at 7:30 to wake us up. I got us all packed before breakfast at the foodcourt. After breakfast Paul went to the the rental car, check the Marketplace for a sweatshirt (I still hadn't found one), and check out of Port Orleans. Ben, Chris and I went to the Magic Kingdom. We rode Peter Pan's Flight and the Jungle Cruise. Then we stopped at the foodcourt to get some candy for the plane ride. We left the MK at about 10:15 and took the Monorail to the TTC to go to the Lost and Found. Fortunately they had Ben's backpack. We were supposed to meet Paul at Spaceship Earth at 11:00. We were 10 minutes late so we met him in China. Ben bought some neat pajamas in China, then we went to MouseGear. I finally bought a sweatshirt. After shopping we took the little boat across the Lagoon to Germany and then we walked to Japan for lunch. After lunch Chris go a Funnel Cake (like fried dough, but better) and I got a Kaki Gori (flavored shaved ice). Then we slowly walked our way back through Epcot. We took the bus back to Port Orleans and headed to the Sanford Airport. Our flight took off at 4:20. All in all we had our best Disney vacation ever. It is hard to believe that we will not be back for a few years. Thank you to all the people on the DIS that gave us such great trip suggestions!!

Thanks for a nice report (I was waiting til the end to post) I am so glad the backpack was found--I have lost a few things and they have ALWAYS been returned.....even though you wont be back for a while you can start the planning, and remember-you can always come here for a DISNEY fix!! So glad your trip was a GREAT one.

Your trip reports are fantastic! Thanks for sharing with us! Ya'll did so much! My family will be there for 7 days the first week of June. I also will have teenagers, a son 17 and daughter 13. I think that will make a big difference on how much we get to do! Glad you had such a great time. I'm sorry about your son getting sick. I'm worried about mine who tends to get sick on carnival rides! I'm taking motion sickness medicine for the whole family for each and every day we are there! 84 more days for us!

Finding the perfect souvenier can be challenging sometimes. One of these days we will get back to WDW. We won't be able to for a couple of years either. Enjoyed reading your reports.
