Good Morning,
I was wondering if anyone has made an edible image for a cake out of their designs? My DD loves princess jasmine and I am having a hard time find a jasmine design at the bakery. I was planning on using the jasmine and aladdin figures - but then someone mentioned edible desgins. Now I wonder if the local bakery would allow the design or would that be against copyright laws? I have seen a couple of these types of designs on ebay. :confused3

I guess Disney hasn't gone after them. Kind of like the designers here can make them as long as they don't sell them.

My mother owns a cake and candy supply shop in St Louis (I'm just the hired help). There is no licensed edible image for jasmine. There is a disney princess one but jasmine isn't in it.

We print out edible pictures (printer with edible ink) of photos but if someone brings in something that is copyrighted--sorry nope--we can't afford the $75,000 fee for copyright infringement.

If you have a cake supply store in your area they may have wafer or rice paper. You can run this through your computer with whatever image you like. Put a piece of wax paper under the wafer paper so it doesn't melt into the cake with the inedible ink. Then take it off before cutting the cake.

Sorry for the bad news but I guess you can get it off ebay for now.
