Can you believe it?

What are some must have things that you love?

I love their organizational stuff. I have really just started scrapping about 3 years ago so I have tons of pics. I bought the big power sort box to sort and store my photos. I also use the deco file folders to sort my scraps in my Cropper Hoppers. They have 2 pockets, I use the large one for bigger pieces of paper and the smaller for smaller scraps.

I started with Creative Memories and some of my favorites are: the Corner Rounder, the Personal Trimmer and the Custom Cutting System. I have tried other similar items and keep coming back to the CM ones.

I love their tools and albums. Love their lifetime warranty. My sis and I use the photo corners for professional pics. That way they are never stuck down. So when we ran out and couldn't locate our consultant, I signed up. I enjoy using all their products. I have started using the power sort box for pics and it is a great help. One place storage for just about all my pics!

I have their cornor rounder and also the cutting system for ovals and circles and all of my albums are CM. I've lost my consultant so now get refills and such off of ebay. I used their black pages to mount all my 8 by 10 wedding pictures. I wanted it to look like a professional photo album, not "scrapped" for those pictures. I was really happy how it came out. And MUCH cheaper than what the photographer wanted for basically the same thing. :woohoo:

I started cropping with Creative Memories. I absolutely LOVE their albums, pages, and page protectors. In fact I have never cropped in any other type of album. :) I bought another type of album for my girls autograph books for our December WDW trip and I feel like I'm cheating on Creative Memories. I also really love all of their cropping tools and their adhesives.

My friend is a consultant in Camden, North Carolina. I'm sure she would be happy to show you everything! I'll PM you with her name and number if you are interested.

I first got involved with CM when I was invited to a party in someones home a few years ago. CM products are really a nice quality...I think you get what you pay for. I love their albums, pages and page protectors. They also have a nice imprinting service to finish off your album covers. The paper is a nice quality, even though I usually buy most of mine when I go out on day long scrapbook shopping excursions! The personal trimmer is nice and I love some of their little tools. It may be best to go to a party where you get to use all of the supplies so you can see what you like before investing in it.

One of the best CM things I purchased is the power sorter box. It has just made sorting out my photo's for pages easier! Of course their albums are great and so well made as well!

Albums, cutting system, multi-purpose tool (we call it the naughty tool, as its great for getting off things you've accidentaly stuck in the wrong place:rotfl: ) photo splits, punches, personal trimmer. (I have both the long ones but Bazzill eats the blades:sad1: )

The power pallettes are great for quick albums or if devoid of inspiration;)

I probably wouldn't be scrapping if it weren't for CM! I'd always stayed far, far away from even the thought of scrapbooking - until my friend had a CM party last summer!! I ended up buying the whole kit that comes in the black bag right then and there! :) Since then, I've been hooked!

I love their albums, tape runner (especially the tape runner!), personal trimmer, the 12 inch trimmers (straight and wavy). I bought the personal cutting system but find I never use it for some reason. I have the power sorter box but don't really use it as intended!

the new side loading 12 x 12 picfolios!!!

I had to go look at the new 12x12 picfolios. They look great! Have you purchased one? Can you add refills to these books? I didn't see any mentioned, so I'm guessing it's fixed at 16 pages. It sure would be nice to have CM book to slide my digital pages in instead of having to tack them down.

Thanks for posting about these!

The side loading picfolio max does not allow for adding pages. I wish they would come out with something that would. I don't think I could make anything be 32 pages. It is a great idea for digital pages. You can print them and slide them in. I am still a traditional scrapper and haven't gotten to the digital stage of scrapping yet!

I was afraid of that. I'm not sure that would work for me. I really need flexibility since I never know how many pages I'm going to end up with. Some of my CM books are really fat and way more than the original refill pack. I'm a hybrid scrapper now and I'd love to have a CM product that would work well with digital and paper layouts.

Thanks!

Thirty two pages could accomodate 64 layouts. I am going to use my chocolate picfolio max as a genealogy album. Then as I come across new documents I can move pages accordingly. There is talk that CM is going to introduce a 12 x 12 picfolio that will expand.

Tomorrow at my crop I am going to do an 8 x 8 sideloading picfolio for our babysitter who went on vacation with us. I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry aboout that meant it could accomodate 32 LOs. It is a 16 page bound book. I didn't read what I wrote!

One of the things that looks really cool is the paper albums. For $15 you can complete a 8 page 8 x 8 with paper embellishments etc. I saw some of the new paper at Showcase for Christmas and wow it will knock your sox off

I don't think you can slide whole pages in the big picfolios - I think they have pockets for photos and paces for fillers. I've not got one as I think it takes away the chance to "play", but I might get my mum one for Christmas as she's now got a digital camera and has actually taken and printed photos for the first time ever - my dad was always in charge of the camera as she tended to cut people's legs off (or heads :rotfl2:) She's not interested in scrapping but this might be a first step :goodvibes

No you can I have the 8 x 8 and have seen the 12 x 12 and you can slip in whole pages even true 12 x 12. It is called picfolio max

mantaz
09-08-2007, 03:55 PM
Yeah the new picfolio max is true 12x12. That way you can put 12x12 digital pages in there. The quick kits are 8x8. I can't wait for the xmas stuff. I want that new pink album that is coming. I am tired of all the shades of black albums and need more bright colors!

Just go to creativememories.com if you want to check out the new picfolios!

Thanks, y'all! Please keep us posted on these 12x12 picfolios. I'm hoping they come out with one that expands. That would be huge thing for me (and I'm sure a lot of people.)

TY!

I did the 8 x 8 family quick kit picfolio today for our babysitter. She went to the Cape with us during vacation and I wanted to give her an album of her trip and her first whale watch.

The album was quick, even with me being a perfectionist about cropping photos to be "just right". The album has twenty four pages and handled the highlights of vacation very nicely. Would I use that size for a yearly album? No, but then it usually takes me two 12 x 12 to handle a year of pictures anyway. However, for a special occasion, it's a great size and easy as pie to put together. Now I'm not sure I want to give it away.:confused3 ;)

You know you can order directly from almost any consultant without ever even talking to them, right? Go to the CM website and do a search on the consultant locator. Pick one that has a personal website. Click to go to that site. Then you can shop, order online, and it will all ship right to your door. The s&h is 7%, but that's often cheaper than I ended up paying to people on ebay!

Hope this helps!

Now you don't even have to find a consultant with a website. You can order through any consultant and just put in there name at check out on the CM website. Now it seems like the premium website is just going to be a way to always have your calendar up, since it is not needed to order! I like that option!

I have to say their albums are better than any around--

Other than that:
Personal Trimmer
Tape Runner

And I also like some of their papers.

I see this was edited from the message that I got in my email.

I do want to say that the opportunity to order without having to call the consultant in no way means that there aren't still plenty of reasons to have a "personal consultant." (I was one for 6 years... I get it)

I love going to group crops or calling when I have a question about a product. But I also LOVE that I can order what I want and need, when I want and need it, and not have to wait for my consultant to order and then wait more for her to get it to me.

Honestly, I tell all of my customers to go through my website! It goes directly to their door - it costs the same and I don't have to get in my gas guzzlin' minivan to deliver it :)

The CM stuff that I love:

Personal Trimmer
Custom Cutting System
Storybook Creator Plus
Albums - you can't beat the lifetime guarantee.

I love my cutting tools (although I haven't gotten the hang of the new CCS blades)
I also LOVE StorybookCreator Plus and Memory Manager
I love the albums, but I'm less and less fond of the pages.
