We are travelling in March with my parents. We will be myself and 3 kids. They will be my folks. We have seperate reservations and both have the regular DDP booked.

Here is my question, we intend to eat all TS together, 6 of us. When I book the ADRs is it okay to just be under my ressie since I am calling? And when we dine will that be a problem with two seperate parties on the DDP eating together? Should we tell them when we are seated so they can prepare 2 bills or can they just take 2A credits off their cards the 2A/2K credits off my card? I know they must run into this a lot but I have never done it like this (travelling with another seperate party) and I just don't want it to be screwed up (like all the credits coming off one account).

Thanks for any words of wisdom!

I would make the ADR as usual, including the entire number in your group. Then before you order tell the server you are all on the DDP and to split the bill and how.

We just recently had this situation. All we did is just mention it in the begining to the waiter/waitress and it was no problem.

We just did the same with my parents a few weeks ago. Made all the reservations on my DDP then told waiter/waitress when we ordered how to split it up. Never had a problem with it.

Just explain to your servers what you want and they will handle it no problem. We were there last week in two rooms. My DH and I would always hand the server two cards and ask them to take two credits from each card. Sometimes, they would question us and ask if we were in one room. We would just say no, we are in two rooms. They understood.

It will not be a problem.

In December, we had a party of 13 for most dinners and five different DDP accounts (one per room). We just explained it to them when we were ordering, and then they asked us for one card from each room and they took notes on how many credits from each card. We didn't have any problems with it. I think it worked out better than cash for a group that size!

We will have six adults going in different directions during our stay. All three couples will be eating at a different restaurants at different times. I hope this won't present too much of a problem. DH and myself have done the dining plan, but our daughters have not. We've explained to them as best as we can what they should do when going to counter services and table services when we are not dining as a group such as double checking how many CS/TS credits are used. We are putting charging priviledges on DH's and my card only...just in case. ;)
