Ok, so on with my dining reviews (sorry I was neglecting it trying to start my Trip Report). We were on the Dining plan.

On our first day 8/24/07 we arrived , checked in and head to the Pepper Market.

I had the steak fajita (I love their fajitas) but the chicken I think would have been a better choice. I was my first time ordering the steak version and the steak was tough and hard to eat in a fajita. Overall though it was still enjoyable and I split it easily with DH (He ate 2, I ate 1 and then ate the rest without the wrap).

My son had the kids cheese pizza with cookie, orange slice and drink. He ate every bite of his pizza.

DStepD had the chinese plate special. She didn't like her chicken at ALL. She also complained the the sauce they put on the noodles tasted funny. I tried it and it was just "ok" but I guess not what she is used to from home.

That evening we had ADR's @ Chef Mickey's.

I don't have any photos here except a few desserts but we all enjoyed our meals. I really like salmon here and the salad choices are pretty average but still tasty.

8/25/07

Day 2 we skipped breakfast and hung by the pool. Early lunch @ the Pepper Market before heading to the Studios.

Lunch was pasta for both Ashley and I . I got the penne with mushroom sauce and she got penne with marinara. Both with breadsticks. Dessert I got Chocolate croissant and Ashley got a cookie. Those cookies are HUGE. We both liked our pasta but tried not to overeat as we had Mama Melrose that night and were afraid we'd end up ordering pasta again.

TC got the rib eye steak and he enjoyed it as usual (he ate it a few times our last trip). Trae got the kids pizza...AGAIN lol

I can't find their pics....

Goofy's
Both kids had pretzel rods dipped in chocolate and then in Oreo cookie. They REALLY liked these as a midday snack---great use of a snack credit as you get 3 rods ;)

MAMA Melrose

We decided to try this on the F! package and though it was just "ok" I think I may try it again in the future. Our waitress was great and very attentive.
ME
App: Artisan Bread Didn't like. I thought the bread tasted stale and I wasn't fond of the dips.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf93c75f9a100000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Meal: Chicken Flatbread LOVED this.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf959f1b98f00000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Dessert: Tiramisu pretty good...Kind of a dry tiramisu---not what I am used to.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf95d9438d800000026108BZuWzNu3bC

TC
App: Calamari We all picked at this and it was very good.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf93178380200000025108BZuWzNu3bC
Meal: Sirlion TASTED LIKE PLASTIC! It was almost inedible. TC actually forced himself to eat it and didn't complain---how he did I have no clue.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf94c5df9b100000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Dessert: Tiramisu AND Espresso (she let him get both on the DDP) Spoiled boy..he loved having both of these ;)

Ashley
App: Mozzarella and Tomato Pretty average..I love tomato and mozzarella.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf935a5b9ed00000025108BZuWzNu3bC
Meal: Spaghetti Diavolo She picked at it and said it was ok, but wasn't what she expected. She wanted more heat to the "spicy sauce".
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf94048789200000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Dessert: Chocolate gelato. Ate a few bites but said it tasted like regular chocolate ice cream.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf9569b784a00000026108BZuWzNu3bC

Trae
App: Salad
Meal: kids cheese pizza (see a trend yet?)
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d722b3127ccebaf94491f97900000026108BZuWzNu3bC
hmmm..can't find what he got for dessert---Ice cream I think? (I didn't note as much of his stuff as he was pretty consistant with the same meals)

Trae spilled his chocolate milk all over the table and within seconds 2 waiters were helping us clean it.

Unfortunately this portion won't have any food pics..It was a trying morning and we originally had ADR's @ 'Ohana for breakfast but had to cancel last minute from my cell. We arrived to check into POR for free dining (moving from CSR) and were greeted by 1.5 hour wait. The line was INSANE!

So we skipped breakfast finally got checked in, headed to the room and made it to the Studios around 10. Lunch was Pizzafari and I really enjoyed it. I was SO bummed b4 the trip that Tusker House would be closed (one of my fave CS's) but I couldn't have been happier with my backup.

Trae only wanted the pizza and it isn't on the kids menu so daddy ordered that and split it with him---TC ordered the kids cheese quesadillas for Trae and ate them himself (those were kinda yuck) I had the Italian sandwich, which I craved a few more times during the week and Ashley had the chicken Parm which TC wish he had been able to get.

Up next is Le Chef's de France WITH PICS :)

yes it does. But our CM last year said they will allow the child to order that, so that's what we did, we got 3 "adult" meals there instead of 2 and 2. But it's not on the menu, so if you don't know to ask or the CM doesn't say anything....

So we made our way over to France and checked in for our 5pm ADR which is the first seatings---it was already VERY crowded and people were trying to stay under the canopy out of the sun. We were seated about 15 minutes later and our waitress was Charlotte. She was very pleasant and attentive through the entire meal.

I started off with the mushroom flatbread. YUMMMMMMMM This was over the top in terms of size.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d730b3127ccebb356485d01300000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Ashely got the bacon and onion flatbread...She could barely scratch the surface.

We both loved these and would order them as a meal if we went there and paid OOP.

TC ordered the calamari but didn't read that there was a sauce on it so when it came he grew worried (he is a pretty plain guy). The sauce wasn't too bad and he ate every bite.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d730b3127ccebb3578e3d07b00000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Lil man got a salad which I don't remember if he ate much of it

Entrees
ME: Roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and braised tomato. I loved the flavor of the chicken and it was very juicy. Mashed were good---I just stayed away from the braised tomato--not a fan of mushy tomato.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d730b3127ccebb3576c3516c00000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Ashley: the fancy french Mac and cheese (lol) they have the real name on wdwinfo.com if you want to look. She LOVED this and said it was the best mac and cheese she has ever had. No more Kraft for her!
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d730b3127ccebb368a5eb06b00000026108BZuWzNu3bC

TC got the Salmon--whic had the SAME sauce as the calamari...just not as overpowering. He said he liked this better
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d730b3127ccebb357304900100000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Trae had plain penne with chicken fingers which were standard penne and fingers
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d730b3127ccebb3689ca715600000026108BZuWzNu3bC
Dessert both TC and I had the tart---Yummmm...For some reason as simple as it was it became one of my top fave desserts on property.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b7d730b3127ccebb368dd3f07d00000026108BZuWzNu3bC

That is actually what i am thinking of doing when I go in October. I will be solo that night and no DDP so I figure I can order whatever I want! Right now I am thinking a flatbread, maybe soup or salad, and of course dessert!

Glad to hear the flatbreads were so good. Did you have a preference? I like the sound of the bacon one better but it looks like sort of soggy bacon (I like mine burned to a crisp). Any recommendations on which one?

I guess it depends on whether or not you like mushrooms..I am a HUGE fan of them and I liked my flatbead much better then hers..You are right--it wasn't crispy bacon which I also prefer. I say the flatbread with a crock of onion soup---YUMMMMMMMMMYYYYY!!!!

Goofy's Candy Co is in DTD. YOu can make the pretzel rods or Marshmallows, or rice crispie treats...I think it's a GREAT use of snack credits and the kids LOVED them...haha so did mommy!
