Here are photos of some of the items. I only took photos of the "homemade items," (mostly because people didn't label the store bought so I didn't know which went in each group when I got home)

I wasn't in all groups, so I couldn't take pictures of everything. The pictures aren't the greatest, but I was trying to be fast, and we have terrible lighting in our computer room. They look MUCH better in person.

Group A: I realized when I took the pictures, that I put my items in the wrong group. Group A people are getting Cinderella's Mice in Group B. Kat made different characters, so hers aren't in the picture.

When I use gallon size, usually I can fold them a bit, then I can fit them in another gallon bag, even if I can't get it ziploc-ed.

I've also had the gallon bags sent to me stapled or clipped together when there was no way they would fit in another bag all together. Just be sure to label well.

Can somebody explain the deal with Hope. Why would other send her extra? I am really confused at this time.

Hope is making some of us special items of things she has done in the past. Because most of these would be considered "page kits" and THIS swap is for elements, some of us need to send extra to be sure Hope is getting like worth for like worth.

I use the normal swap breakdown to figure out how many elements it equals (1 title, 2 tags, etc). Then subtract how many groups we are in together to determine how many elements "extra" need to be made. I think we are in one group together, so if there is a kit you like, it would work out to you making the element you are making for everyone in your group + 2 additional elements.

If you don't want anything, don't worry, I am planning on making brand new elements for anyone that hasn't requested anything.

When I made the items from the requests that I had already gotten, I made extras of some of the most requested (and some of the others that required paper piecings, because sometimes it's easier to do 3 at once than just one)

These are the ones I have pre-made. I will make anything, as long as I have the materials, so don't feel you need to take one of these, it's just these require no additional work for me.

Kat -- postage question. I couldn't find the right size box. I ended up with two priority mail boxes which I filled and sealed and then taped them together and wrapped them in brown kraft paper. I am assuming that this will be cheaper than mailing 2 priority boxes separately. Also, since it is so early, I'll probably use snail mail.

Soooo, what do I send for return postage? I could get the rate for priority mail for my package and send that. I could send postage for 2 flat rate packages? What do you thinK?

I have some of the other type of flat rate boxes (the more of a shoebox sized version) I was able to fit all of my AK swaps(both elements and kits) in it (barely), which is more groups than what you signed up for, for this one. So I think you can get by with the cost of one flat rate box, and I'll bring some of that size with me when we swap out.

Here is what I was thinking

Large-1 pp = (5 inches) like the tag books.
Medium-1 pp and 2 embellished shapes = (3-4 inches)
smaller-2 pp (anything smaller than 3 inches)

Yes, you can do 2 medium tags in place of 2 shapes :)

Mine got shipped today priority. I can't believe it took me so long to get them shipped. Finished beginning of last week and they just go out today. I picked up the wrong shipping box twice. I could have shipped for $6.50 if I had chosen properly. I included different stamps for return postage because I'm pretty sure you'll be sending mine back in a priority envelope rather than a box.

In case anyone would like to know, an egg carton works great as a filler in the wrong box that I picked up today. It was going to be recycled, but fit in the box perfectly and virtually no weight!

Note for y'all when using those new little Priority boxes. They are $4.60 if they weigh less than 16 oz. If it weighs more than that, cost is by weight. Don't trust the post office because they aren't clear on the costs. They are the ones that told me the box was bulk rate but it's not.

Note for y'all when using those new little Priority boxes. They are $4.60 if they weigh less than 16 oz. If it weighs more than that, cost is by weight. Don't trust the post office because they aren't clear on the costs. They are the ones that told me the box was bulk rate but it's not.

After sorting Surprise Swap II and the Color swap the same day, I learned something...so I have a new plan of attack. Of course, complicating things will be all my requested items.

For those of you that requested stuff, they will be separate from the regular group stuff. So each of your "group" bags will have 5 items, and then there will be a "Hope" bag. The exception is the lettered groups. You will have 6 item group bags for those, just like any other 6-person swap.

If you didn't request items from me, then your group bags will have 6 items, just like you would expect from any other swap.

The sorting is completed after 3.5 hours! Everyone's packages will be mailed tomorrow. I have to go deposit the cash and checks today. A few minor glitches in the sorting but overall it was a breeze.

Yes, thank you for everything! I haven't had time to look at much, that is my plan now that I am back home. I took my rolling tote to hold my pieces, and it's almost stuffed to the brim! There are some absolutely beautiful pieces coming your way.

A note to participants in the Anything Goes - Group I. 7 people thought they were in that group, but only sent for 6 people. So you will NOT be receiving the item you sent back. Aside from that and that Group 12 is not Group 19, everything went pretty well. Much faster than I expected actually.
