I love doing this and having gone 10 times I am running out of ideas for dd. I want this trip to be extra magical because her best friend who has never been before will be with us. I found some personalized candy wrappers on ebay, they go around the Hershey nuggets and I am getting them to say welcome to WDW Eliana and Lexi with Mickey's picture on them, I also found tiny pinatas that have Disney characters on them, you fill them with small things I am thinking a jibbitz and the candy. Also I am getting a personalized box with the MM club house people on it that says Welcome to WDW. These are all things you could make yourself if you had the time and talent. I just ordered since it was pretty cheap. If you search ebay under Mickey Mouse or Disney party favors you'll see what I mean.

We are doing a gift basket for each child, DD12 and DS2...from Mickey...a welcome to WDW present, if you will. I am also doing presents each night from Mickey to both of them.
For DD12- I am doing some collector pins, Disney PENS, pads of paper/journal thingys, DIS earrings, jibblits are a good idea...and some other things...I am still collecting
For DS2- Disney racer cars, DIS tattoos, stickers, pj pals (from DIS store), small pull back cars (from DIS store), etc.

I am buying from Disneyshopping.com and the actualy Disney Store, every time I find something smallishand fun! I am thinking about cups/ keychains/ plates/ silver wear (all DIS themed of course),Disney coloring books, Disney reading/easy reading books...stuff like that!

Does that help??

When I started reading about Tink presents, I got so excited and I can't wait to do this for my 2 1/2 yo DD but does anyone have any great ideas for small inexpensive things for 2 yos?

I just bought those "magic wash cloths" (the ones in tiny shapes that expand into regular wash cloths when you put them in the bath) at Walgreens. They were in the $1 section, and they had Nemo, Ariel, and Pooh. They also had heavy plastic plates, cups and bowls in Cars, Princesses, and Pooh, also $1 each. I think I'm going to get a plate and bowl for each DD for snacks/cereal in our hotel room.

Our Dollar Tree also has glow necklaces, light up princess keychains (which I'm going to put on a ribbon to make a necklace), and tons of Disney coloring books and stickers. Stickers and a small notebook can go a long way in entertaining my DD2 while waiting in line or at restaurants!

The Disney Store has a bunch of things of the rounder by the checkout. I got some pull back mini-racer cars for $1.99 "Meet the Robinsons" and I saw lots of "Princess" 3 packs of cars there too! There are little cell phones, mickey/minnie/ pooh/etc. little cube people, fun candy tubes, key chains, ALL kinds of fun stuff for both baby/ toddler boys and girls!

I just stocked up on some "presents from Mickey" for both my DD12 and DS2...what about beanie stuffed animals @ dis store...I thinkthey are like 3 for $10...they even have some playhouse disney characters...Little Einstiens, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, etc...they also have a good selection of Disney toys NOW at Toys R Us...They have a nice portion of an isle now devoted to it at the TRU near us...They have all kinds of fun stuff.

I feel slow asking this ? but how do you leave them with out your kids noticing? Or mousekeeping moving them.

I plan to put things out after my DDs go to sleep, so they'll find them in the morning. I guess if you wanted something out when you returned to the hotel room, you could "forget" the camera or something in the room. Have DH take kids outside while you get the camera and put the gifts out. I'm sure if you left a gift on the table or nightstand, mousekeeping would just leave it there.

Wow! What a lot of great ideas. I was planning to do gift bags everyday for each park but I really like the idea of gifts from Mickey that the kids can find when they wake up or when they return to the room. Thanks for sharing!

I even ordered PJ Pals from disneyshopping.com for like $4.99 and will be leaving a pair of these also each night! I have been buying them for months, whenever they go on sale! Aquaring all the stuff at a GOOD price is a several month long journey...but it is all worth it! I am also leaving little preprinted cards from Mickey, i.e. printed out on card stock rom my computer, using the Mickey/Disney fonts. That is not my idea, my good friend has been doing it for several years!

My DD will be 2 months shy of 3 when we go. I found a Tink doll on a clearance rack yesterday (she is about the size of a Polly Pocket) and so she will now be sitting next to (or on) the Tink gift each morning, complete with Pixie dust!

My list of Tink gifts so far:
Mon--Disney disposable cameras (Mickey and Princess)
Tues--Glow Wand (MVMCP that night)
Wed--possibly one of those BIG suckers from the parks (??)
Thurs--Mary Poppins pin (we have Supercalifragilistic Breakfast that day)
Fri--Chef Mickey's pin (we are eating breakfast there that day)
Sat--(travel home:sad1: ) I have Mickey and Tink tattoos, but am not sure I am happy with these as a final gift. Of course, she gets to bring the Tink doll home as well, so maybe that makes it better? Not sure. I was trying to think small and easy to pack since we will have done most of the packing for home the night before.

We arrive on Sunday, and are planning on having a gift basket from Mickey there for her (either from Peggys Sweets or Memories by Betsy).

Man, oh man! Santa is gonna have some stiff competition from the Disney characters this year! He may have to step it up a notch! :rotfl:

Okay, you sounds like me! I have 2 Welcome Basketsfrom Mickey arriving the day we get there for DS2 and DD12...I spent $300 on them combined...I know, crazy! That's what Disney does to me, I love it! I have also ordered special pins for DD12 to arrive each morning and some cute MMouse bookcovers/Pirates accessories, key chains, and a lovely gift card for DD12 to spend while we are there on her own souvees...DS2 (barely 2) gets a fab gift basket with plush goofy, cars, disney racers, monorail, etc...and his little presents will be PJ Pals, small cars (I have picked up at the DIS store in the mall), and I am still thinking on a couple of ideas for him! He is so little, he will not know what is going on!
I am also printing up special "notes from Mickey" to both of them for each morning...possibly from different characters printed on card stock complete with borders disney fonts, and whatever else CRAZY things I can think up! :wizard:

Oh yeah, I got my baskets from Betsy! Awesome! I already got pics of what they look like! Very exciting!!!!!

Maybe it's a teacher thing?? :goodvibes

I "know" that DD doesn't need all that stuff, but it is her first trip and I think it will just be so magical for her! She is REALLY into Santa, Tinkerbell and Sleeping Beauty right now, so I KNOW she will love it! Those years of believing go by so quick, so why not get every moment you can out of it?

BTW--I am thinking a small photo album on the last day to go with the tattoos. That way, Tink starts with the cameras and ends with the photo album. However, another poster has kind of talked me out of the HUGE sucker since it would be so messy, etc., so now I am on the hunt again to fill in a day. Keep posting those ideas! :rotfl:

Are you flying or driving? We are flying and just wouldn't have the room to do this, but it is a really neat idea. (If you have noticed all of my Tink presents are quite small. There is a reason for that! )

I noticed on the other thread that you found the glow wands at the Dollar Tree. That is the one Tink is bringing for MVMCP! (I got pink--I thought about green for Christmas, though!)

Here's my problem. The last time that I did the Tinkerbell gift thing, I ended up giving DD everything before we even got to the resort!! I bought trading pins (some I knew she would like and some I knew she'd want to trade), stationary with princesses and the pin to match, also the washcloths from the Disney Store and Tinkerbell and Belle dolls from the Disney Store. All of it in her hands before Tinkerbell had a chance to leave it. I cannot keep a secret! This time though, it will just be the two of us and she will be 10, and I'd really like to step it up b/c it's a girl's vacation.

Found a stretchy Tinkerbell necklace and bracelet on Ebay to fill in for the big lollipop! They are VERY cute and not as messy!:rotfl: Now I just gotta find a small Disney photo album. Should I wait until we get there (we are going to DTD our first night) or can I find one at a reasonable price before we go?:confused3

I'm doing a basket for my son... I have purchased the majority of my things froma store called Dollar Tree everything is $1.00. They had a bunch of Disney items (puzzles, paddleball, floaties, colors, coloring book, pez candy). I'm also buying snacks to put in the basket and a MickeyMouse mylar balloon.

I got the idea about the ballon from another DIS'er. It'll be good to have a different balloon from what they have at the parks to be able to notice your stroller from the rest.

We'll be arriving at the hotel around 9pm, and since we'll be celebrating my DS 4th b-day, I plan to decorate our room & window. I'll be placing the basket on top of the table. So when he wakes up he will se the room decorated and the "gift" that Mickey dropped off....

can't wait 'til our trip to D I S N E Y!!!!!:yay:

I wasn't going to TInkerbell my DD7 this time as I figured she saw right thru it. Not so much. We did a land/sea in January 2007 for my parents' 5oth. (darling people took US), and I put a little gift on her table each night...she never seemed all that thrilled. (but we were all fighting a virus and running pretty hard).
So, we leave the 22nd of this month for 6 days, and while we were talking about our plans, my DD, all starry eyed and dreamy said, "I hope Disney does the Tinkerbell Magic again, that was sooooo fun!!!". No idea that it was me.
So, I said, "oh, I didn't know that you weren't too grown up for it this trip. I'll email Tinkerbell tonight". Two days later, we got our Fairy Godmailer postcard. Uh huh!!! Big fun and joy, Tinkerbell remembers!!!

So, I have collected a few things, Party city has quite a selection of Tinkerbell things..and the other Princesses for pretty inexpensive!! 6 erasers for $1, Notepad-sticky with all the fairies, good stuff!!

I don't know where I will put the things in my suitcase!:)

For any of you looking for photo albums as Tinkerbell or Mickey gifts, I found a couple of options at both Walgreens and Wal-Mart. The Walgreens ones are a bit large, three ring binder-type and hold 2 4x6 photos on a page. My stores had Disney princess ones, Pooh & Tigger, and Mickey Mouse. I think they were 2 for $10. At Wal-Mart, they had smaller 4x6 brag books that were plastic, and were only a couple of dollars. Have fun!!! We have no trips planned right now. At least I can plan for others...

I was in target today and they have many many many tink things. I splurged and bought two disney scrapbooks. My sister said you never buy anything for yourself, get them. TArget has scrapbooks for 19 bucks with stickers and the scrapbook papers.

I LOVE THIS WHOLE TINK IDEA!!! I read a few weeks back about it and immediately was on the look for little Disney related items!
This is what I've come up with so far!
A "welcome" basket for all 3 kids (DD15/DS9/DD5) with a note from Mickey (basically saying) that if the kids a good for Mom and have a WONDERFUL time...each night he will send Tink to our room to leave surprises! It will have
Mickey crayons & color books (Dollar Tree)
Mickey & Princess disposble cameras (Walgreens)
Glo Star Wands (Dollar Tree)
A Pressed Penny Book (internet)
Autograph Book
stickers
a small stuffed toy for each

I also have picked up things to leave out everynight that will coordinate wtih the park that we will visit that day.
Nemo & Friends figures (Dollar Tree) for Epcot
Safari Puzzle & Simba Pez (Dollar Store) for Animal Kingdom
CARS stuff for MGM
Pooh & Tigger figures (Dollar Tree) fro Crystal Palace

You get the idea! I am having a blast looking and have not spent much!
The 15 yo LOVES Tink and will be excited just to be getting surprises....my son (just be turning 9 at the trip) and the 5 yo will be extatic!

Hope this gives you some ideas!

Since I was trying to come up with things that basically pertained to each days activities, I decided to get a Tinkerbell stocking hat and stretchy gloves for the last day when we head home to MN and back to winter. So, here is my updated list:

Monday: Disney Disposable cameras
Tuesday: Glow wand (MVMCP) (possibly something else as well...this is the only day that is 'disposable' and I think I want her to have a 'keeper' as well)
Wednesday: Tinkerbell stretchy necklace and bracelet (Tink will be inspired by the Christmas decorations and want to 'decorate' DD in the 'cutest way possible')
Thursday: Mary Poppins pin (for our breakfast with her)
Friday: Chef Mickey's pin (for our breakfast with him)
Saturday: hat and gloves for trip home (along with getting to keep the little Tink doll)

Think I have decided to get the photo album for her Mickey basket when we arrive...

I wasn't going to do Tink gifts this trip. I did it last trip (bubbles, pencils, stationery, magic bath cloths, erasers), but told them Tink only did it for your first trip. Then my dd told me that her friend said Tink does it for all their trips! Yesterday they were with MawMaw, and I finally got to hit Dollar Tree and Walmart by myself. I got paddleballs (Cinderella/Tigger), candy (Princess ring pops and soccer ball gum tape), soft flying disks (Princess/Power Rangers), and glow bracelets (4 in a pack, one pink, one green). I had cleaned out my disney stash on Friday and found a pack of Mickey playing cards (don't even remember where I got them), and at Walmart yesterday they had Tink playing cards for $1.50 in the party aisle. So I now have 5 days of gifts. I need one more. I bought them each an art set from Disneyshopping (Ariel/Pirates), but they are heavy. I don't really want to take them to and bring them home from Orlando! I'm thinking of giving them to the kids on her birthday in early Nov (I always buy a little something for the nonbirthday child!), and trying to find some light up toys for Fantasmic instead.

I haven't worked everything out into days yet..I think I'm going to wrap it all up in cellophane bags if I can ever get out of the house for a few hours kid free. LOL We're going to be in the parks for 10 full days and 11 nights so I got a lot of downtime stuff for when we take breaks....

I've got:

Disney crayons
color pads
disney princess bubbles
disney paddle balls
light up lolipops
bubble necklaces
magic washclothes
mini disney stuffed animals
bathtub froggies for my toddler (instead of paddleballs! ;) )
disney jump ropes
color wonder sets
princess jewelery

crud I'm drawing a blank here....I'll add more later....

Love the ideas!

Does anyone have the links for the gift basket places? We are going in March with my daughter and 4 of her college friends I have been gathering ideas to make this a really special trip for them. We will also be bringing my Grandbaby who will be almost 3. Mickey will be leaving lots of goodies for him!

Those are the three I know of...any more out there? I know that the Disney Personal shopper has discontinued doing specialty baskets and refer customers to Peggy's. There is also Goodypak.com, but that stuff seems kind of 'junky' to me.

We are planning on doing a gift basket (from "Mickey") for when we arrive, but haven't yet decided on which of the above to use. Recommendations would be great!

We used Betsy for our upcoming trip...Welcome gift baskets...they are pretty loaded...I spend $300 on them, but at least they are getting tons of cool stuff. I am also loading a Disney Gift Card for DD12 so she can pick out all of her other souvineers while we are there...$300 or so...and DS2 we will handle his goodies during the trip. Maybe it sounds extreme, but I am always that way about everything...all or nothing! The gift baskets are a surprise and it has been really hard to keep my mouth shut! I have also been buying presents to leave in the room every night from "Mickey" for both kids! I am sooo excited about all of this...I feel the same way when I am setting up for Chirstmas and all the Santa stuff! I love seeing the look on my kids' faces! Adorable and priceless!

We are going in March with my college daughter and 4 of her friends. Since this is the first trip for a couple of them I am trying to make it really special. I am going to make them all pillow cases out of Disney material and leave little "Tink" presents on their beds every day. We are also taking my 2 year old grandson. Can't wait to see his excitement over his gifts. I am going to give him pool toys, shirt, sunglasses, Since we are going in December too I am going to pick up little stuff and also get a Pal Mickey for Ethan to sit on his bed the first day.

We did a few items for DD on our last trip.

I had a few cute Disney t-shirts for DD that I had collected from sales at the Disney store and other places. I had one laid out for DD each morning.

The first morning at the botel, I had a magic wand and glitter scattered around next to a parkpak that I had ordered from online and DD went nuts for it! This was a backpack with her name on it with the Princesses and it was filled with an autograph book and pen, tons of snacks, stickers, tattoos, bubbles, glow bracelets and so much other fun stuff for her. Actually the magic wand came with the pak, but I pulled it out to set things up for her.

She was so excited to take it to the park with her the next day and got so many nice complements on it. I DEFINATELY recommend them for Tink presents! The site was www.goodypak.com and they were so helpful in answering my questions about everything. My friend used them too and liked them. Saved me from alot of running around to collect things for DD for the trip too. :)

Go to feralpeg's site (www.peggyssweetsandmore.com) and click on resort room decorating! For $100, she will come to your room and decorate it while you are out! I'm going to use this for the ultimate Tink gift on our first night. All I have to do is ask for a onetime use key to be left for her at the front desk, and while we are at MVMCP, she will come in and leave balloons, streamers, etc. in your choice of themes. She is also going to bring each of my kids a $20 gift (still working on my choices). So when we get in from the party, Tink will have already been there! I can't wait to see my kids' faces!

I have been collecting things for a welcome basket for my 3 children. We are taking them for a surprise B-day visit in Feb.
Friday- Welcome basket for each with PJ's, Autograph book, and new Shirt and a gift card they can spend themselves.
Sat- Letter inviting the girls to the Bibbity Boppity Boutique With a new trading pin
Sunday- letter inviting them to Cinderella's royal Table Breakfast. I have some new earings for the girls and a new necklace.
Monday- a good buy note from Mickey and another Trading Pin.

This is the first time I have done this. I really enjoyed seeing your ideas on this thread. I am so excited. :cool1:

We're using Betsy for our upcoming trip! I am so excited - can't wait til my DD sees her basket! I went with a High School Musical theme - and even had her get the HSM pajamas! I also included a gift card for the arcade!

I had a basket delivered for our trip in June - they gave it to me as we were checking in. Allison was absolutely glowing when she was handed that basket - and couldn't wait til we got in the room so she could see everything that was in it! The arcade gift card was a big hit! (She and I love playing air hockey!)

I've done the Tinkerbell gifts too - disposable camera, candy, Disney dollars, etc - they're always a big hit too!!!

Enjoy your stay!!!

I just got back from our local Deals (a dollar store) with some goodies for Tink to leave my DDs when we're at WDW. They had packs of Princess or Tink rings and stick-on earrings, flashing pins and keychains (Princess or Pooh), Toy Story watch, and TONS of Disney stickers-- Sandylion, so they're acid free and safe for scrapbooking as well.

I had to leave to pick up my DD from preschool, so I didn't even get to finish looking around the store. I may have to go back tonight!

Oh man! We don't have Deals stores here...:sad2:

I really need to get back to our Dollar Tree, but the next two weeks are slam full. Plus, when I go I have to 'sneak' stuff into the basket since DD2.5 has grown Eagle eyes all of the sudden!:scared1: So, now I always feel paranoid when I sneak it in because I am afraid that the store will think I am trying to steal it. Really, at this point, it is kind of stressful to shop with her, especially with the holidays so close. I have to be sneaky enough for DD, but not SO sneaky that I end up in jail! :rolleyes1

I know what you mean! When my oldest DD was almost 3, I picked up a couple holiday gifts for her. Of course she spotted them, so I told her they were gifts for her friends or cousins. I thought she'd forget about them, but oh no! She spent Christmas morning saying, "Just like we got Gracie! Just like we got Lilli!" every time she opened one of the gifts she had seen. Luckily, little Gracie didn't understand when DD tried to tell her about the baby we bought her (which, of course, we didn't!). :rotfl:

We have been picking up little presents for Mickey to leave my DD12 and DS2 at WDW and my DS just truned 2, but he is always looking at what I am holding and wants to hold it for me and really look it over! I know that even this Christmas, I am going to have to be really careful about purchases made in front of him! I do not want him to catch on to Santa's secret...he is getting so super nosey about what I am doing!!!! Pretty funny!
I have hidden all the presents I have accumulated n the basement closet out of sight until we go in 3 weeks! I will have to discretely pack them under MY clothes so not even DD12 knows what I have! She has no idea, even aobut the gift baskets! They will be sooooo surprised!

Just got back from Target and they have Tink Merchandise in their dollar spot. A purse, lip gloss, cards, pencils, mini stationary set, and a very cute door hanging pillow that either says "If you only believe" or "pixie dreams" with a picture of Tink. I plan on sending on of the cards to my daughter before the trip. Then, after our first night, I am going to hang the pillow on the door and spread glitter from it to a present with the other merchandise.

I'm hitting Target right after work! I LOVE the glitter by the door thing.
Does Disney mind if you sprinkle glitter on the floor? :tinker:
