I'm new to WISH and the weight loss challenges.
However, I did register for the Disney Marathon this January and have ordered my lime green WISH shirt to run in!
I've already lost about 7 lbs in August and would like to shoot for 10 lbs in September.

Okay so technically I lost most of that pound last week in August, but today is September 2 so I am counting it this month.

You can post here at any time during this month to let me know when you've had a weight loss, and I'll show it in the list on Page 1. For example, you want to lose 10 pounds this month, so if you weigh yourself next week and see that you've lost 2 pounds, post that here and I'll go back put this: 2/10 next to your name, to show that so far you've lost 2 out of 10 pounds :)

please sign me up as I want to lose 5lbs. before the trip. We are getting the DDP and I gained 4 last year and it took me 2 months to lose it. So if I lose 5 then I would be able to fit in my clothes when I get back. The funny thing is I ran my family ragged the entire trip and I didn't even eat the Desserts and appetizer with the meals. A few desserts and wieght creeps right back on. Thanks.

This is what I am so afraid of. Our trip is next week with free dining and I don't want to gain any back. My goal is to just have a 2 bites of dessert each day, not each dessert. ;) And somehow to stay away from real Coca Cola. I can resist when home but fuggetaboutit when I am on vacation. :guilty:

WI day today. I can't believe it, but I'm already down 4 pounds! That last pound is probably going to be the stubborn one though. Those 4 pounds are what I'd gained in WDW-so I guess even though it was easily gained weight, it was easily lost too. If so, I'll take those Disney pounds again-easy come, easy go.

I am getting very frustrated now. I missed my regular WW meeting last week but went to another meeting and weighed the same. That was fine. Today I weighed myself at home and had gone up 2 pounds. That brings me up almost to where I started. It coudl be that my scale at home is different from the WW one. I am just feeling so down right now- I look at myself and think I'll just always weigh the same- maybe up 2 down 2 but never lose the 10- 15 that I really want to lose. I don't know what to do now. :confused3
I had thought that maybe I should stop WW for a week and try to just watch my food intake without writing down all of the points. I was eating a Special K breakfast today and the back of the box mentions the Special K weight loss plan. Eat 2 meals of cereal each day and have one regular meal. I thought I would try that for a week. Anyone have any ideas?

My scale is different from the WW one. It is usually at least 1-2 more. As far as missing regular meetings, I have had the same thing happen. I went on a different day and time and gained a pound. When I went back to my regualr one the next week I lost almost 3 pounds. I also try to get to the same scale for every weigh in, it just seems like it would be more accurate to me, even though they say the scales are checked..I still wait for the same scale. I see you are doing Flex, have you tried Core? Maybe that would work better for you. Also are you drinking lots and lots of water?
If you do the Special K cereal diet remember that a serving is either 3/4 cup or a cup (don't have a box right now) and using 1/2 cup skim milk. I'm not sure I could last on that small of an amount of cereal for 2 meals out of the day. I'm pretty sure you'll lose weight though! I was amazed when I first started WW and started to measure out serving sizes. I tried the Special K diet and it turns out I was probably eating 3 to 4 times as much cereal everyday...no wonders I could never lose on that diet.

This week our At-Work meeting is cancelled but I don't think I'll go to another place to weigh in. I agree it's best that I stick with the same scale each week.
I did try Core once but only lasted a couple of days. I had a hard time following it. Maybe I'll look at that again. I'm on my second day of the Special K diet and so far I've lost a lot of water......always running to the bathroom.
I have been measuring the amount of cereal I eat and only use a very small amount of milk. If I can do that for a week and then switch back to WW maybe it wil give me the jolt I need. But then when I get back on WW I probably will gain some back as I may be eating more. I'll have to wait and see. I think I probably should re-read my WW week one book and make sure I haven't gotten lax about how I am following the plan. I know I'm not good about drinking the water.

ok..8 may have been ambitious this time.
I'm only down 4/8 so far...but I did gain 2 at the beginning of the month after a weekend of parties and events so I'm happy w/ a loss. I've been doing and hour of cardio everyday so far this week so we'll see what Saturady says.:thumbsup2

Hello to everyone! I had a GAIN the last two weeks :mad: I was SO discouraged...and then this week...waa lah! I lost 4.2 lbs!!! So, subract my 1.2 gain from the last two weeks, add my 2 lb loss from the first week....and I am 5/5 for September!!! Yay!!:cool1: Congrats to all the September losers!!! :wave:

I weighed myself this morning and have lost a total of 4 pounds. I didn't meet my goal of 5 pounds but came close and am happy with that. I will probably set the same goal for October.

:mad: Well today is the last day and I am only down 0.8 for the month. Nowhere near the 7 I wanted to lose. But I have been faithful to the exercising, so I may be gaining muscle. My clothes are fitting differently again.
Tomorrow starts a new month and I am going to do better. As long as I don't gain, any loss is a good loss.

I am happy to report a total of 7.7 lbs lost this month!! But I was having a problem mid month with WW; I just was cheating too much with snacks....so I switched to South Beach and it has clicked. I know I retained water with salty snacks and this first week of Phase I has really helped. :)
