Since I am getting older, I have a tendency to forget things. On that note, Lets get a roster going for mini golf(Fantasia Course) at 2:00 pm Sat and early dinner at Boardwalk afterwards. Taking votes on where to eat. ESPN seems to be the easiest. Please put real name with user name.

Dave and Erica are bringing a dear friend who posts on the DisneyRunning site with us. BridgeRunner (Donna). She is good with ESPN also since she will not have a park pass because she is driving over from Tampa and doing our mini golf and dinner adventure then the ToT, and driving home the next morning.

She is coming because I told her Big Vic was really Robert Redford and PatsBill was Mel gibson.

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss these events (and LTT & MNSSHP Friday) as I will not be arriving in Orlando until 6:30PM. I figure I'll just wear my running gear on the plane and hopefully have time to check-in at Pop, throw my bag in my room and get over to the Studios to check-in for the event. I plan to do MNSSHP Sunday night and hopefully see some WISHers there as I'll be traveling solo.

This may be better Dave, as the only chance I have of passing for Mel is if it is completely dark or your friend is sight challenged. I do have (dreamy(?)) blue eyes though. I'll also wear a hat so the head glare (which Mel doesn't have) will be reduced. Finally, I'll only agree to be the Mad Max, Martin Riggs and William Wallace (without the mooning) movie persona Mel--not the unable to hold his alcohol, holier-than-thou, racist rant Mel.

Actually I love his movies. I think his "We were soldiers" was one of the most realistic Vietnam flicks ever. Except he stole the phrase about his 'boots being the first on the ground in the battle and the last to leave' from the Pathfinder slogan.

Sorry your gonna miss the afternoon stuff but we will catch up with you at the race.

Unfortunately, we're gonna have to pass as well. DSIL is coming over from Ft. Myers to watch the kidlets for us during the race--so we're treating her to F&W during the day on sat. If DH and I spend too much time at the Beers of the World, we might need someone to roll us to the finish!;)

I might be able to join you folks for early dinner on Saturday, but I'm not sure. I'm doing LTT and MNSSHP on Friday, then getting up early the next day to do the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour at MK. I've never done a WDW tour before but I really enjoyed the one I took at Disneyland and wanted to try this one. I suspect I'll be beat after that and in need of a long nap, so I wasn't going to commit to any plans except the race. It does sound like great fun, though -- and undisputably wonderful company.

I was going to get out of work early today but that did not happen. 54 hours in 4 days, I need a vacation, but have to take office cell and be ready for all or two.

We leave Cheyenne tomorrow morn for Denver and then to MCO early Sat morn. YEAH!!!!!!

New Details:

Fantasia Mini Golf offers a 50% discount:eek: off the $11.45 for AP holder and 3 guests. If we have at least 5 of us, everyone will get the cheap price. Linda and I are AP'ers, I think there are others out there.

Mini Golf takes about 45 minutes and we can only go in groups of 4 5 minutes apart. I think after the last group starts, we can catch back up with others. They said it may take 15 minutes for first group to start as we wait for tee times. We should all be done by 3:30.

Until later...

We also have AP's or will activate new ones this morning. Isn't there a DVC discount??? havent checked portable perks yet.

Got my running course kinda figured out

Long day yesterday.

Yeah We Made It, At OKW, long day yesterday, Travel, grocery shopping, then met up with Linda , Kay, Ashley and Karen m and their son Gary.
Grocery shopping is draining, don’t know why but it is. Then we are on the 3ed floor room, so it took a few trips to get all the stuff upstairs.. Good work out for sure

It seem like trips to WDW and DL are becoming family reunions , this is KEWL!!!!

Will activate our AP’s this morning at MK. Going to MK first is a tradition.

We have AP's, as do Nancy and Norm, so that should be enough to cover everyone that shows up. I believe the DVC discount is only about 20-25%, so if the AP price is half-off, that is definitely the way to go.

Mini Golf Report:

We met at Fantasia Gardens for a nice little round of 18 holes. Everyone had to get a name tag that Linda helped decorate. Others even decorated them more with other stickers we brought or with their own drawings(Scott H). Once you received your name tag, you got your golf(running) packet of goodies. Lots of useful items for those runners/walkers.

We had a group of 15. We missed Kim and Mike as they had their own adventure. Mark(datramp on my forum), Linda and I were the first group. The next group was Scott H(DW Lynn) and Susie(and DF Cindy). Group 3 was the problem child group only in that Dave was in it. Erica, Connie, and Kathy had their hands full keeping him in line and dry. The last group was Nancy(& DH Norm) & Jeanne( & DH John).

We all started about 5 minutes apart but sneakily moved more into two sets of groups.

Linda was our version of the WDW Prize Patrol. Anyone who made a hole in one was able to draw out of 2 bags of socks. As someone yelled, Linda took off to find them. Mark was wondering if Linda was going to have any energy after the race. It was a fun day. The first 3 groups finished before a brief but heavy downpour delayed the last groups as we hide under cover. They finished up their 2 holes and off we went to dinner at Pikabo. Where else could you have soo much fun for less than $6!!!

We were joined by Donna(Bridgerunner) and Scott(Scooter from my Forum) at Dinner at Pikabo. This was a great placed Linda and I discovered earlier in the week that could easily handle a big group in one setting and not spread out all over the place. The food is "Cafeteria" style but was really good and reasonably priced.

We mentioned who had the low round of golf but I was not eligible for prizes ;) We than did Disney Trivia for some Fuel Belt Fanny Packs. After this you had to keep your eyes and hands ready for the flying socks from Linda. We had a great time with good friends. This was Priceless.

Here is a link to a few(75) pics I took throughout the FE. http://www.disneyrunning.com/07totminigolfphotorm.html
