We plan on taking a very early morning flight out of Philadelphia in June. I had heard that if you stayed in some of the hotels the night before your flight, you could leave your car at the hotel for free. Is this true and if so, which hotels. We would definitely drive down Friday night and stay if this is true. If not, what are the parking rates for the week currently at the airport. Thanks so much, just trying to work on my budget.
OH, and one more thing. is 158.50 a good rate for roundtrip for PHL to MCO?

That's a GREAT rate!! The best I've ever done is $148.50 per ticket. But then again I don't shop price too much, I only fly two primary carriers for the most part.
I don't know of any hotels that allow you to leave your car for free. Some give you a decent parking rate, but not free to my knowledge. (Someone please tell me if I'm wrong!) We generally use Kinney--it's about $7 a day with a AAA discount. They've always been REALLY reliable (I fly in and out of PHL 4-10 times a year and always park there), the place is well lit and watched 24 hours a day. It's on Bertram Ave right off of 95 (if you are headed South it's the second exit after the big bridge past the stadium) They pick you up right at your car, load your luggage, and drop you off at the terminal right in front of your carrier. It doesn't get more convenient than that.

I don't know how to post a link but try www.philadelphia.airporthotelguide.com.
This should give you a list of hotels to get quotes. Make sure you are quoted for parking privleges as the rooms do cost more if you plan to keep your car there. Good luck!

I am not an expert on the Philly airport, just a fellow traveler with the same concerns. There are some hotels that offer complimentary parking and free shuttles to the airport. We have a ressie booked with Embassy Suites for $109/night, for a weekend stay in March. The daily rate for economy parking at the airport is $7/day. Watch some of the Marriotts as they expressly do not offer complimentary parking for the length of your trip, just the length of your stay with them. If you use Travelocity, checking on the hotel policies will usually give you info about the parking.
Hope this helps!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn (I think 2 years ago) near the airport. They had the free parking and shuttle. I think we paid $79. Free cont breakfast deal. Definately the way to go

We stayed at the Embassy Suites and had free parking the length of our trip. The shuttle was great and the hotel beautiful! I don't remember the rates. Our travel agent arranged it; it was well worth the price!:bounce: :bounce: :p

We never stayed at the airport. What we do helps us we have 3 kids and normally we have alot of aunts coming with us. Usually the total group is 8 people. We get a limo ultimate ride I think its around $80.00. They pick us up at our house and drive us there that morning. It's an actual limo not the van svc. The kids are always so excited waiting for the limo. The price for us to stay at the airport would be more than that and I'd rather stay at home. The other nice perk they pick you up at the baggage claim area and load all your luggage. Really nice after an exhausting dis vac.
