There doesn't seem to be very much interest in this swap. I think that with school starting and the holidays coming we are all overlaoded. Thanks to those of you who did sign up, but I think that it's probably better to cancel it. We can always try next year! Thanks.
Ladies, it’s time for the Altered Clipboard Swap! This is for memo-sized clipboards that make great picture holders (for 5”x7” pics) and to use for getting autographs at the parks!
These altered clip boards are simple to make. Just about anything goes, just remember that to use them to write on, you may want to be careful where you place dimensional embellishments.
The memo sized clipboards are 6”x 8”. You can use wood or plastic. They can be bought at office supply stores such as Staples, Office Max, Office Depot or Wal-mart. They range in price from $1.00 to $2.50 each.

Supplies needs:
Small clipboard
Mod-Podge
Paper
Embellishments
Foam sponge brush
General scrap booking tools or tape and scissors
Sandpaper

The due date for this swap is October 5th. I made it a week longer than what is posted on the swap calendar. I need to receive your package by October 5th. Please mail packages to me by September 28th. I have the 8th off for Columbus Day, so I hope to get everything sent out then!
The Details
1. Choose a group. For starters, please limit yourself to two groups, so that everyone interested can swap. If I have extra slots, I will, of course, open them up. Pick your group and character.
2. Alter your clipboards according to the theme you have chosen. Alter both the front and back of the boards. Coat with a protective sealer such as Mod-Podge, or other sealer to protect your work.
3. PM me with your DIS name, name, home address, email address, and phone numbers. Email and phone numbers will only be used to follow up if I have not heard from you.
4. Post your weekly status on the Progress thread - which will be posted after the slots are filled. You must check in 2 weeks prior to the due date. If I have not heard from you by then, I will send you a pm or an email. I will angel your spot if I do not hear from you within two days of the pm or email.
5. Check the progress thread for your status - it will be updated with ship info and received info.
6. Packing Instructions - use a gallon size Ziploc for each clipboard. Please label each bag with your name so we know who made it. You‘ll have 4 bags to enclose in another gallon size Ziploc bag for each group you are in - be sure to include your name, your DIS name and your group number. It is your choice how you would like to send your package. Priority flat rate boxes are $8.95 or you can send them regular mail, just mail early. Send return postage and let me know how you want it sent to you (or stamps if you don't want to send cash) to return your items. Delivery Confirmation is $0.65. Please don’t send metered or click-it/ship-it postage – some hostesses have had issues with these.
7. PM me if you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.
8. There will be 4 people per group. I have set up groups to start. If anyone would like other groups added, let me know, I tried to cover all the bases! If a group fills up I can add another one too!
9. And most important...HAVE FUN!!
