Hi Everyone,

Hubby and I are thinking of leaving our DD (6 years old) home for our $99 Fall cruise. We've never left her behind before and feel a bit guilty about it--but I'm sure we'll get over it :) ! Seriously though, we are toying with the idea.

Anyone else?

You betcha! We just got back from the 1/26 Magic w/ dd-3.5 and ds-12 in tow - had a great time. However, the 3 day we will do alone in October. Feel guilty-yes-and the logistics of who goes where, oh well. But wouldn't it be a blast to do grownup stuff?:pinkbounc

Not only one cruise without the kids, but TWO!!! We had two Cat10 cabins on the 1/19 cruise, so we have two vouchers. Sue is going with her mom (who had one of the cabins in her name) and her aunt on 10/3, then on 11/7 Sue and I are going to do a solo cruise. The kids are bummed, but I've already gotten enough grief for taking them out of school for the last cruise.

We did the opposite...Jan. was a couples-only for us, to celebrate our anniversary, and Oct. will be the whole brood. And trust me, the logistics of 4 school-aged kids for 5 days was a balancing act. It required 3 wonderful people who agreed to take/pick-up my kids from various after-school activities, as well as overnight lodging. It will be another decade before we can manage that again, but we sure do have fond memories! Go, have fun!:D

You betcha! We are leaving the 21 year old home and decided to take a 7 day in October instead. She will use the voucher herself and a friend. Not bad for all involved!

Absolutely ! I booked the 10/10 cruise for me & my best friend! No kids! We need a 'mommy break' ! I took my 11 yr old son with me on the 1/26 7 nighter .. we had a great time, but I didn't get to do alot of the grownup stuff :)

We were on the 1/19 cruise with our 5 children. Decided that the logistics and airfare for 7 of us would defeat the purpose of the $99 bargain. Unfortunately, we are going to only use 4 of our 7 voucher users, but going with my DH and I asked my sister and husband to join us for the 12/5 trip. Should be a lot of fun...

We live within driving distance of the port and WDW, etc. so we don't have to worry about
plane fare, hotel rooms, etc. so we are taking our 9 yo dd. We would both be so lonely
without her.....and I think about the days to come that she won't want to go anywhere with us....of course...that will probably never happen when it's a cruise!!

If we didn't take her....she would probably run away from home!!!! Or call DSS and tell them we were mean to her or something like that!!!

What is the $99 cruise everyone is talking about? We got our video from DCL on Saturday and it makes me want to go cancel my 4 night cruise for April 7th and make it a 7 night cruise LOL. Seriously, we are looking forward to our first cruise with Disney, that we are thinking of going ahead and booking a cruise for the two of us in the Fall and i would LOVE to know about the $99 cruise.

TIA!

The $99 cruise everyone is talking about is....

People who cruised on the 4 or 7 night in January received vouchers for a 3 night cruise from 9-5 to 12-19(T'giving blacked out).

So, that's the info on that.....

Natsmom,

I had to smile as I read your post regarding your 9 yr old dd as you sound just like hubby and I. We toyed with the idea of not taking her but it just did not sit right with us. I paid for the $99 fall cruise today and yup :) she is coming. I know-I'm a weenie but thank goodness, so is my DH :).

She really did enjoy the kids club while on the January 4 day. We ended up having alot of 'couple' time to ourselves. Hopefully, that will repeat itself again on the Oct. 31st cruise.
