Anyone got any good rates lately, do you think rate will hit $2 again soon, should have got them a few weeks back, I know but not going til Oct 07 but DH now getting to stage wants everything finalised inc hol money.:surfweb:

the dollar has been steadily weakening over the past few days....
you should be getting a better rate now (and it will probably continue to improve)...

We bought from Crown Currency yesterday and got ours at $1.96.
I think that's the bet you will get at the moment.
Thomas Cook and M&S are coming up at $1.94.

Crown currency currently showing $2.0146 for 41 to 50 days.
Not sure when in Oct you travel but you might get this window.

But then you have fees to take into account for the 41-50 day rate. Not worked it out but still might be a good rate.

Like Wayne says, not so great when you add on their silly fees. I still think paying by Nationwide/Post Office CC is the way to go - you get the best interbank rate and can keep the cash in a savings account earning interest.
