Since we temporarily took over Rhonda's thread (and were promptly scolded ;) ), thought I might as well follow her wish.
So, how do you guys go about watching football while at the Fort? Do you have any memories of watching football while at the Fort? Any particular setups you use for football? How about any good camping recipes for eating/drinking while watching the game?
Football season is almost here!!!

Hey look! A football thread!! Hey - what do you guys think of renting golf carts at the Fort? How 'bout those missing peacocks?

Touche', Rhonda!!! :rotfl2:
I'm really, really glad there are no more peacocks!!! Their screaming was somewhat un-nerving and their poop was atrocious!!! Nothing worse than stepping out of your camper in to a squishy pile of peacock guano!!! YUK!!!
Okay --- back to football ---
Besides beer (that's a given), any kind of chips & dips, and finger food that you can eat mindlessly while watching the game! Nothing worse than missing a play while you're cutting a steak!!! (Well,,, stepping in peacock poop is worse then that! :lmao: ) Buffalo wings & pizza is good, too!!
Serious eating can only be done at half-time!
Debbie ;)

Hey now, I was only trying to help out!!!! I could have made a generic Fort thread, oh wait, I did.
I can't help it that the peacock kept asking for extra beers! ;)
Go Dolphins, go Canes!!!!

Hey, I was wondering would the 1500 loop be good for my 45 foot coach? Do you know what movie will be playing November 16?

Which team is he with, the NY Giants? Dang. He gets whatever loop he wants.

Has anyone seen how the newer motorhomes have the large flat screens which come out of the sides of the motorhome? You just sit out under the awning while watching NASCAR (not football, Colson). :thumbsup2

Oh, I'll watch some NASCAR too! Heck, I'll watch any sport (including soccer), although some sports lend themselves better to camping.....and beer. ;)

Do you think we could get FW to put up a Drive-in style theater. We could all drive up on our golf-cars to watch Football/NASCAR. This would even increase cart rentals. Disney could use the field across form the meadows pool for The location.

A drive in theatre, that sounds fantastic...lol

I am hoping the Auburn/Miss State game will be available for us to watch the weekend of Sept 14th (we have Direct TV and might have to buy it on ESPN gameplan, eww.) when we will be at the fort for the weekend. I am trying to find a used projector for our viewing pleasure and plan on sharing free bee with anyone who will come and root against Miss State!

This thread was suggested by our own FW Moderator -- Rhonda! :thumbsup2
Anyone want to watch the 12/2 Bills vs Redskins game? I may go to ESPN for that one, but watching it at FW has a great deal of appeal. I'm leaving the following Saturday so I get back in time for the Bills home game against the Dolphins! DS(28) and I always have grilled swordfish and lots of beer for that game -- mostly Harp, Moosehead, Molson and an occasional Jack -- it does get cold in Buffalo. Well we have lots of beer at all the games. If you think AP prices are high, try buying NFL season tickets. $25 for parking too but at least we get to start drinking beer at 9:00 am when the parking lots open!
