HH info...............please

We've booked a HH studio for a few days prior to Thanksgiving. We've never been there (only WDW DVCs), and don't know what to expect re: weather in Nov., restaurants on property, a "general store" on property, etc.:confused3
Can someone please fill me in on what to expect?

Weather in November varies widely. Last November it was freezing! But one year it was in the 80s. The only resturaunts on property are a couple CSplaces-one at the main resort, one out at the Beach House at the ocean (about a mile away). There's a small store-like the store at any resort at WDW, just much smaller.
BTW, see ya there-we're also going to HHI for Thanksgiving.

While the resort only has CS there are several restaurants within walking distance. And there are hundreds within driving distance all over the island. When you check-in the front desk will give you a restaurant guide for the whole island.

We went for the first time just a few weeks ago and loved it. The resort is very compact and easily walkable from one side to the other and over to the harborside restaurants and shops. Have a great time! :)

As MinnieGi said.... the restaurants are just off site... plenty of them... many excellent ones in walking distance (5 minutes). You will totally enjoy HHI.

Hey Granny,

I will be there for Tuesday before Thanksgiving , all I could get. Than we go to the Westin. I am hoping for the 80's. One year we went in the ocean Thanksgiving morning. It was great!! Hope to see ya.

We're using HH as a base from which to research Savannah as a possible move. (DH is self-employed and works from home, so location is by choice.) :goodvibes
We'll make this trip a combo business/pleasure one, so I'm glad to hear there are nice TS restaurants around, both on HHI and in Savannah. :thumbsup2
