DW an I like to take about a 30 minute brik walk each day. We were trying to think if there were any paths at AKL that would work. WE couldn't think of any, but until now, we have only been there for dinner.

WE couldn't think of any, but until now, we have only been there for dinner. One reason I've never stayed at AKL is that I don't see any way to go for a walk around or away from the resort without getting in your car.

I know that when Kidani opens, we will have that 2500 ft walk to the lodge.

So I think you are probably correct that our best bet is going to be the walk between buildings! It won't be the prettiest walk but at least there will be some kind of path we can use.

The hallways? They're pretty long.
Seriously though, there's not much in the way of choice right now. Once Kidani opens, you'll have a nice (well, relatively nice) 1/4 mile sidewalk to walk up and back.
Other than that, your walking options are limited. Take a Bus to DTD (and then over to SSR) or to WL/FW and use the trails there? Not convenient, I know...

Well then, next July, if you see a couple walking very briskly around Epcot, say hi!

Where has everyone read about this walk? Based on what I saw, I think part of Kidani will be far closer than that.:confused3
Anyway, I agree. Right now the only walk is interior hallways or around and around the pool.:rotfl: One of the reasons that AKL was only a short term destination in my eyes. If I travel to FL in the winter, I want to be outdoors!

Thanks, Lisa.
I can understand that as it appears the main entrance of Kidani House will be at the middle of the inverted three doesn't it? Or I guess more accurately at the head of whatever animal's horns it is supposed to represent.
Oh, and once Kidani opens, perhaps there will be a walking trail on the pool/parking side of the property. That would be one more reason to think AKV was planned all along.

It is the one thing I miss whenever we stay at AKL, especially after a meal at Boma!

That is true, we clocked over 70 miles om our last 8 day trip. DW walk a brisk 30 minutes every day. We want to do that in addition to our usual walking at the parks. But if we can't we at least know that we will be walking many many miles!

There is always the other option of the dreadmill in the AKL fitness room. :lmao: It's not outside, but it will help with the Boma problem.

I though there was a side walk around the parking lot? not the best place to walk - but hey beggars don't get a choice.
