2008 dates opened?

I've been trying to book Christmas 2008 through the Disney website, and even though the dates are listed in the drop-down calendar, I keep getting a message that there's nothing available, no matter which hotel I select.

Is it too early to book? If so, why would the 2008 dates be available as a selection on the WDW website?

you can book up to only 1 year in advance. thats why.

I booked for Dec 11-18 when the new packages came out. i had a really hard time getting a package as everything seemed booked. AAA finally got us a room at POR. I ended up canceling that and we are going in Sept instead. Have you tried calling reservations to see if anything is available?

As for the OP's question, I would try the Disney site again. I booked a 2008 Christmas trip on their website a week ago and had no problems. Maybe you just got the Disney site at a bad time? :confused3

I noticed on the first screen you can't really book late 2008 very well, but if you go to the top left hand corner and click on resorts, you can book that way easily.

I was playing aroud on the site yesterday, and they seem to have opened up some more blocks of rooms. They will do that all along through the year. Op is correct, you can boo 500 days in advance, but not all rooms are avail at all times.
