Our wedding day was absolutely 100% perfect and I am so grateful to all of the people who helped make it that way!

Tanis Armstrong (Wedding Coordinator) A+

Tanis was AMAZING...she always responded to my e-mails very quickly and was very accomodating with any requests I had. She was so warm and friendly in person and was even giving me tips on how to hold back the tears during the wedding. I was so lucky to have her and really appreciate all of her hard work making our wedding perfect!

Randy Chapman (Photographer) A+

Words cannot describe how much I loved having Randy as our photographer. He knew exactly what to do, where to take us, and really worked with our personalities to get pictures that we wanted. We did have posed photos, but he also went the extra mile to get natural, fun and spontaneous pictures (like when DH and one of his brothers were hanging upside down from the latticework at SBP!) He maximized the time we had together and I cannot WAIT to see our pictures! He arrived early and stayed late and was an absolute doll the whole time. I would pick him a million times over and cannot recommend him enough! He is also VERY affordable and I would still pick him even if he doubled his prices. He was one of the best parts of our day!

Jack Day (Officiant) B+

Rev. Jack did a very nice job on our wedding day and was so friendly it was like getting married by a grandpa! I gave him a B+ because I found he was a little hard to get in touch with before the wedding and often sent back responses that were pretty generic and seemed like standard ones he sent to everyone. I would still recommend him because he made DH and I feel at ease during the ceremony and was so warm and kind.

Rob (Violinist) A+

I don't know Rob's last name but he totally blew us all away during and after the wedding! He played the Imperial March as our recessional and Friends in Low Places for our first dance. Those were songs we had requested and he had time to practice. Then, we were asking him to just play random songs from memory and he played Stairway to Heaven so perfectly. While we were eating cake he was playing Disney songs and we had to try to identify them. It was a lot of fun and he was SO good! You are very lucky if you have Rob for your wedding!

Ana & Lily from Beaute Speciale (Hair & Makeup) A+

These two ladies were so much fun and had so much cheer and energy, especially for arriving at 6 a.m.! They talked with us the whole time and had us cracking up and totally relaxed. They told us about the people they've worked on and about this one guy who gets married (to a different woman!) every two years at Disney and they always do the bride's hair & makeup. They were hilarious!
Ana did my hair and makeup, while Lily did hair for MIL and MOH. They did not hesitate to fix or change anything we asked, and even encouraged us to be totally honest about how we felt about their work because they wanted us to be happy. They seemed to expect us to change things here and there and were so accomodating! Ana couldn't seem to get my bangs just the way I like them (they were a little too short, thanks to a lady who cut my hair before the wedding), so she had Lily do them and they were perfect! I loved the way they worked as a team and gave each other advice to make us look perfect. My eye makeup was a little on the dramatic side, but that was what I asked for and I think if I had asked for something more natural it would have been no problem at all. Lily even helped us figure out how to use the coffee pot without batting an eyelash! Ana also let me take a break right in the middle of makeup to eat breakfast. They were so much fun and I would highly recommend them!

Day 0 - Wednesday, 7/2/08 - ARRIVAL!

We woke up early on this morning – about 6:15. We were packed and out of the house by 8:50. I was sad about leaving my favorite Russell, Murphy, and DH and I were a little nervous about the plane ride. I was also very excited because all of my planning was finally becoming real! MOH’s mother drove us to the airport and then we were off! We breezed through check-in and security and were sitting waiting for our flight within thirty minutes after arriving at the airport.

While we were waiting for our flight, DH and I were walking around the airport with our wedding ears on and so many people told us congratulations! One lady even stopped us to take our picture because a relative of hers was a Disney fanatic and would think it was great! Here's a pic of us waiting in the airport:
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Us-1.jpg

We flew Continental Airlines #492 out of Terminal C in Newark. The flight was thankfully uneventful. DH was nervous, but everything went just fine. There were in-flight entertainment systems in the back of each seat, so we were able to watch movies, tv shows, and play games while flying. It really made the time pass much faster. We even relaxed enough to take a nap. The flight was about two hours and twenty minutes. We took off around 12:30 and got to Orlando around 2:50. Here's the Orlando Airport Shuttle thingy that takes you to the other half of the building (I LOVE riding this thing!)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Shuttle.jpg

Then we checked into Magical Express and took the bus to Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/MagicalExpress2.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/MagicalExpress.jpg

Here's DH & one of his brothers goofing around while we were waiting to check in:
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Boys-3.jpg

It was raining when we got to POFQ, so we dropped off our carryons in the room and had dinner at Sassagoula Floatworks. I had spaghetti and meatballs which was SO good! DH got a pizza, which I didn’t think was all that great. (No food porn yet, but I do have some later it in the trip.) We also bought the souvenir cups so we could have free refills during our stay, which is totally worth it, as long as you remember to bring them with you!

After we ate, DH totally crashed. He was exhausted from the stress of flying and didn’t wake up until the next morning. The guy even came in and dropped off our luggage and DH didn't stir! Here he is relaxing in our room:
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Room.jpg

I was itching to see the place where we were getting married, so I grabbed MIL and we went to the Boardwalk to see Sea Breeze Point. The whole resort is absolutely amazing. I was blown away to see everything in person. SBP was so incredibly beautiful. DH and I visited all of the other wedding locations, except Wilderness Lodge, during our trip and we agreed we would pick SBP a million times over. It was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Please excuse my appearance in these pics...it had been a long day!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/SBP-1.jpg
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/SBPVisit.jpg

On the way back to our hotel room at POFQ, I spotted this little guy hanging out on the side of one of the buildings: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Frog.jpg

Then I went to bed, thinking it was only a matter of HOURS until our wedding!!

Up next, our MK visit & dinner at Cinderalla's Royal Table.

Thursday, 7/3/08 - Magic Kingdom & Cinderella's Royal Table

On Thursday we met up with my aunt, who was the only guest on my side for the wedding, and headed off to Magic Kingdom. To me, that's the place that gives me that special magical Disney feeling inside and I was excited to go!

My aunt and I on the bus to Magic Kingdom

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/UsbyCastle.jpg

By the Crystal Palace - the ducks on the right were my first duck sighting in FL! Ducks are my FAVORITE!!!!! and I was so excited to see them!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/Bridge.jpg

We rode on the Transit Authority ride and Carousel of Progress first (There's a great big beautiful tomorrow......!).

Riding on the Transit Authority...wheeeee!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/TransitAuthority.jpg

It was kind of hard keeping everyone together and actually getting to go on rides since everyone was hemming and hawing so much about everything, so we wound up splitting up for part of the day. We had a quick lunch at some big cafeteria-type place in Tomorrowland that I can't remember the name of. We had to go back to the hotel around 2:00, so I would be there when Carolyn Allen’s came to drop off my dress and steam the rest of the wedding clothes.

Duckies chowing down at the bus stop

DH's brother hanging out and chatting with the ducks :lmao:
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/RobandDucks.jpg

Carolyn Allen's came right at 3:00 and were done steaming my dress, MOH's dress, MIL's dress, FIL's suit, and the three guys' suits by 4:00. They did a wonderful job!

Here they are hard at work (and yes that is Full House on the t.v. in the background!)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/CarolynAllens.jpg

At night, we all went for dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table! It was the best! We all got our picture taken with Cinderella and then waited to go upstairs to eat.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/CRT1.jpg

The room was fairly small and intimate…it only held about 180 people. Two of the mice from the movie were dancing around and the Fairy Godmother came out too and they did a little show.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/CRT3.jpg
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/FredandMouse.jpg

The Fairy Godmother wished us good luck on our marriage and was really excited that we were getting married in the morning! To eat, we started with this amazing pretzel bread and butter (it was soooo yummy!)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/PretzelBread.jpg

Then, I had corn and clam chowder with sour cream in it. It was creamy with just a kick of spice. It was delicious! I am getting hungry for it just looking at the picture!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/Chowder.jpg

Then, I had prime rib, which was cooked to perfection. (Sorry, this is where I started forgetting to take food porn pics.) For dessert I had some kind of chocolate cake thing. Aunt Jackie had raspberry sorbet which I thought was better than my dessert. The flavor was amazing!

After dinner DH was fooling around on the stage that Mickey performs on in front of the castle (I can't believe he didn't get in trouble!)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/SillyB.jpg

The Auntie and I again
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20One/MeandAJ2.jpg

Then we went on the new and improved Haunted Mansion (did anyone notice the hidden Donald on the back of the chair that's by the candlestick that looks like it's down a hallway??? So cool!) As we came out, Wishes started and we watched it over by Small World, then quick jumped on the ride when there was still no line (it looks so much better now that they refurbished it!)

We were all pooped by this time, so we headed back to rest up for the BIG DAY tomorrow! DH slept in his brothers' room (he was sooo unhappy about this...he didn't want to be separated from me. I felt bad, but it was a tradition I really wanted to uphold.) MOH slept in my room and we stayed up talking until 1:30. She gave me a beautiful scrapbook documenting my bridal shower! :) We had to get up at 5:30 to get ready for the wedding, so needless to say, we didn't get much sleep!

Up next: The wedding day!!!

Too funny Liz! DH and I also stayed at POFQ during our wedding last month and we saw those frogs everywhere. They were freaking me out. One night we came back and there were two of them right above our door onthe ceiling. WE screamed and DH opened up our door and almost slammed it on me. We were scared they would jump on us. I wish I would have taken a pic of them. Up until I saw yours I had completely forgotten about it. I am loving your TR so far.

Wow, that is so cool!!!!!! I felt bad for Randy by the end of the day because it was pretty sweltering and he was running around after us taking a bazillion pictures and he just looked hot and tired by the time it was done. I didn't know he had another photo shoot that day. I can't wait to see your pictures!

He was AWESOME though, wasn't he?? I loved the way he picked up on the fact that we wanted some goofy pictures in there too without us saying anything and worked hard to make us happy. Everyone at the wedding was completely impressed with his work and his demeanor. Hiring him was the best decision we made for our wedding day. :cutie:

It was so hot!! We took our pictures on the beach at the Poly and by the end of the shoot we were all driping in sweat!! :scared: It was gross so I am hoping that the pictures come out good.

You would never know that that he was tired or hot from your wedding. He was calm and cool and so great when we met up with him. I am so impressed by him!! I will have to have Randy do some goofy pictures for our wedding as well. I want them to have some posed but more fun and natural. I can't wait to see your pictures from him ...actually I want to see mine as well !!! :rotfl:

I just read through your trip report so far and it sounds like everything has been great so far.

Randy is absolutely amazing and I'm sure you probably can't wait to see your shots. I know the wait about killed me :upsidedow

My DH and I went to Cinderella's Royal Table the night after our wedding and had a great time too. He didn't think he was going to enjoy it, but he had fun too. I had the prime rib too and it was definitely very delicious!

I've seen those frogs on previous trips at POR too; they can be everywhere sometimes!:bounce:

Thank you so much! I really love that dress too. I bought it while we were honeymooning in FL and it was sooo comfy. The honeymoon pics were done at 9:30 a.m. Our photographer did a great job capturing just the perfect moment when there were no people standing behind us. She also tried to pick spots that were not extremely populated, to make it easier.

How long did you have to wait for your Randy shots? He told me three-four weeks (which would be as soon as this Friday!) but I'm not getting my hopes up because I know he is super busy. I can't wait to see them though!

I'm glad you liked CRT too...it was such a great experience that totally spoiled me and now I think I will want to go there every time we visit!

When we moved to our other hotel we saw loads and loads of those frogs. They were all over the stairwells. They are so cool!

Friday, 7/4/08 - Wedding Day!!!!

Well our big day finally arrived! It was absolutely magical and better than I could have ever hoped!

We didn’t go to sleep the night before until 1:30. DH slept on the floor in his brothers' room (they offered him a bed, but he wanted to sleep on the floor) and MOH slept in my room. DH was sad that we couldn’t sleep in the same room but I wanted to follow tradition. MOH gave me my beautiful bridal shower book last night before we went to sleep. It is so sweet! It has a list of people who came, which gifts people brought, advice from everyone on how to have a happy marriage, and lots of pictures. I love it!

So we woke up in the morning at 5:30 and I quick showered (I already washed my hair the night before.) Ana and Lily from Beaute Speciale came to our room right at 6:00 a.m. and got to work.

Before they started
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/NoMakeup.jpg

Ana did my hair and makeup and Lily did MOH's and MIL's hair. They did a phenomenal job! They kept working on it until we were completely happy. My bangs were a giant pain…Ana did them and I didn’t really like them, so she did my makeup and then Lily did my bangs similar to the way she did MOH's and I really liked them. The lady that cut my hair three weeks before the wedding cut them too short and it almost screwed the whole hairstyle up, but Lily flat ironed them really straight so they looked longer. They kept curling and recurling everyone’s hair until every part was perfect. They were also really nice and funny too! They talked to us and kept us perked up the whole time. At one point, Lily even helped MOH figure out how to use the coffee pot and made us coffee! I am so glad we picked them.

Lily, me, MOH, and Ana
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/LilyAna.jpg

The makeup was heavier than I usually wear (because I don’t normally ever wear foundation, just a little pressed powder) but it made my skin look perfect. It felt a little heavy, but I liked the effect it gave for the one day. I sure was happy to wash it off at night though! I also had false eyelashes and Ana was so good about explaining what they would feel like and making sure I was comfortable with them before finishing. They were also just the stick on ones, so they were very easy to remove at the end of the day.

While we were eating, BIL brought Mickey waffles over for MIL, MOH, and I, and they were delicious! My makeup and bangs weren’t done while I was eating, which I started getting nervous about as time crept by, so I couldn’t finish my breakfast. While we were getting ready, the limo driver (Fabio) stopped by our room to ask what room the guys were in and went to go pick them up.

My DEEEELICIOUS Mickey waffles!

MOH's Mickey waffle was getting freaky with the sausage... :rotfl2:
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/DirtyMickey.jpg

We were expecting Randy to come around 8:45, but he wound up being about half an hour early. He started taking pictures as soon as he arrived. He was so nice and very easy to work with. Soon, Ana and Lily were finished.

Putting the veil on!!

Randy getting to work :)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Randy.jpg

I paid them and they were on their way, leaving me with a foundation touch-up and lipstick touch-up. Randy told me it was time to get into my dress (I love how he knew just what to do!) and then he stepped outside. I quick put on my dress and my necklace and earrings. I slipped on my Mickey-ized flip flops and thanked my good judgment again in selecting flip flops over heels. They were very comfortable. I did remember to put on perfume! I wore Burberry (it was a free sample I got from the mall like eight months ago with the intention of buying the whole bottle. I never bought the perfume, but I did bring the sample, which worked out perfectly!)

Randy took some pictures around the hotel, and then left to go get pictures of the guys at the Boardwalk. My aunt arrived shortly after Randy and was following him taking pictures too.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Randy2.jpg
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Bride-4.jpg

Then, we were all waiting for the limo to come back and decided to use the bathroom one last time before we were off…easier said than done in a huge wedding dress! We were waiting for the limo driver to come back for us, when DH called MIL and started asking where we were and told her the wedding planner (Tanis) said the limo driver was at the resort waiting for us! He later told me that he was getting nervous that we weren’t going to show up because we were taking so long! We went outside to look for Fabio, and he wound up being parked really far away, by the room the guys were in. We all thought he would come to the room or someone would at least call from DFTW to tell us he’s there.

So anyways, we got in the limo and relaxed for a couple of minutes. (I know a lot of the brides don't like the limo and think it's too prom-like, but I loved how it held all of us and I've never ridden in one before, so I was still excited! :) ) MIL ditched her stockings the second we got in the limo, deciding they were too hot and her shoes kept slipping off because of them. We basically just sat and enjoyed the few minutes before all of the excitement would begin.

Wedding Day Continued

Soon, we arrived at the Boardwalk resort and we all got out and met Tanis and her assistant, Kevin. We went inside and Tanis gave me my bouquet of red roses and seeded eucalyptus.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/GettingFlowers.jpg

I loved them!!!!!!!!!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/Lovethem.jpg

My aunt got a pin-on corsage with orchids and MIL got a wrist corsage with a white rose to match FIL's boutonniere. After we all got our flowers, Randy took some pictures of MOH and I while the guys waited.

This is a nice pic from back at POFQ that shows the back of her dress
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/MOH.jpg

Tanis took us down a hallway and into an elevator to go downstairs. On the way through the hallway, a man stopped to congratulate me and told me how beautiful my dress was (a comment I heard many times during the day!) Once downstairs, we saw this cool traveling piano that had a bicycle seat at the back which was kind of neat. We walked down another hallway to outside, where Tanis checked to make sure we all had flats on so we didn’t have to worry about tripping.

As we were walking up the boardwalk to Sea Breeze Point, everything kind of hit me at once. When I got my first glimpse of SBP and saw the guys standing there, I just started crying. Not sad tears, just overwhelmed, happy, emotional tears. I tried really hard to blink them back.

Here I am laughing at myself for crying and trying to wipe them away
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/Girls.jpg

We got to the left wing of SBP, where I met Reverend Jack. He was nice and told me I looked beautiful and everything. Then, he walked back up front and my aunt and MIL took their seats. MOH and I got in our spots while Tanis explained we would walk up the side aisle, around the back of the chairs, and up towards the front. The plan was for Tim to meet me halfway and walk me up the aisle. I thought he would be positioned there already, but he was standing up front. The music started and MOH walked up the aisle first. Then, the violinist started playing “Here Comes the Bride”, and Tanis told me that was my cue. I got REALLY emotional when I heard that and the tears were just streaming down my face. I started walking up (I don’t think I walked too fast like I worried I would) and DH turned around and walked towards me and offered his arm and we walked up together. I was a little disappointed because I thought he would already be standing halfway down and Randy would be able to get a picture of him seeing me for the first time, but it didn’t work out that way. Oh well, it wasn’t a big deal at all, and I thought it was really cute how he offered his arm to me.

We walked up the aisle as instructed. Reverend Jack said his introduction and had me hand my bouquet over to Tiff. He did have us hold hands, as I wanted him to when I wrote the vows. When DH was saying his vows, he was clearly nervous and was doing the giggle he gets when he’s nervous. He didn’t like my aunt videotaping us, but I had asked her to, so she was just following directions. Before I knew it, we had both said our vows and he put the ring on my finger. BIL was holding it on his finger in his pocket (he was worried about losing it).
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/Vows.jpg

Then it was time to kiss each other and Reverend Jack introduced us as husband and wife! That was kind of weird to actually refer to him as my HUSBAND. We walked back the aisle towards the grass to the Imperial March from Star Wars. It was awesome. We went down on the grass and everyone came up and hugged and congratulated us.

Then, it was time to cut the cake.

Cake table set-up

Cake close-up
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/Cake2.jpg

Timmy and I stood behind the cake table and drank some sparkling apple cider. Tanis gave us the very un-sharp knife and we cut the cake together.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/Cake.jpg

They cut a little piece for each of us to feed each other and while DH didn’t totally smear it all over my face, he did manage to wipe a little on my face. It was funny though.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/CakeFace.jpg

Then they had us sit at the tables on the grass while they served the cake and cider. The cake was marble with chocolate mousse filling and was good. We still had a ton leftover, which they sent with us in the limo. We actually wound up forgetting it in there and the limo driver kindly dropped it off at the resort for us to pick up later. While we were having the cake, the violinist, Rob, was playing for us.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/TanisRob.jpg

He was so cool! He was taking requests and even played “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zepplin. At one point he was playing tunes from Disney movies and having us try to guess which movie it was from. He was really superb and was so much fun. Everyone really liked him a lot.

Up next...lots of pictures!!!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%202/CakeReception.jpg

After cake and cider, Randy took about 364,913 pictures of us (although I honestly loved every minute of it! It was so much fun!) At one point DH and BIL were hanging upside down from the slats covering the aisle I walked up at SBP! I thought it was hilarious and Randy totally worked with their goofiness and took pictures of me kissing Tim upside down and everything. We walked back up the boardwalk and he took lots more pictures. Eventually, everyone but Timmy and I was sent inside to cool off because it was really starting to get hot outside. When the wedding started, it wasn’t hot at all. The weather was absolutely PERFECT. I wasn’t too hot in my dress as I feared, and the sky was the perfect blue with some puffy white clouds floating past. We took all kinds of pictures, including ones throwing petals, ducks that walked past, Robby climbing a light post, and Tim and I on a surrey, among many others. I was so very happy when Tim pulled out the pocket watch I gave him as a wedding present, instead of a ring, and asked Randy to take pictures of him with it. I was so glad to see that he truly liked it and he looked great with it.

Be prepared to see this all day long if you use Randy :lmao:

I love all the pictures so far. The Mickey waffle looked yummy; I love how you got pictures of all the little things like that you're a girl after my own heart :goodvibes My DH is always joking about getting pictures for the scrapbook.

I'm always fussy about my bangs too, so I understand your frustration.

The bouquet was really pretty, do you have closeup to show the eucalypis (I think I totally messed up that spelling :rotfl:).

I love the surrey bike shots and the one of the guys climbing the pole.

Isn't Randy great, I definitely can't say enough good things about him!

Thank you very much, Cam! I was thrilled when I gave him the pocket watch and he loved it. Then, when he pulled it out on the wedding day and asked Randy to get pictures of him with it (without me saying A WORD about doing this), I nearly burst with happiness! It showed me that he truly did like it and it was meaningful to him.

Randy exceeded all of our expectations by far. I can't wait to see our pictures! As soon as his pics come in, I'll definitely let you girls know!!

I knew that I would want to remember every moment of our wedding day and of our honeymoon. That's why I came home with about 1,000 pictures! :scared1: No clue what to do with all of them except pile them into albums. I already made a scrapbook detailing what we did each day, which only used about 100 of them.

Thank you for the bouquet compliment! It was EXACTLY what I wanted! I don't have a close-up of the seeded eucalyptus, but I'm sure Randy got some. Here is my inspiration picture, which shows it nicely:

Soon we were all done with pictures at the Boardwalk (Randy even made sure to get the shot I wanted in front of the Boardwalk sign!), and we drove Randy over to his car in the limo, since he was parked pretty far away.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%203/Limo.jpg

Then we headed over to the Grand Floridian, where we said goodbye to the limo driver, since we weren’t going to be finished with pictures and lunch before our time was up. We went inside and SO many people congratulated us and commented on my dress. Randy took us out onto the beach and got some more pictures. The sun was very, very bright reflecting off the sand, so we might be all squinty in all of the pictures. I don't have any previews of those, so beach pictures will have to wait until Randy's pics come in. Afterwards, Randy said goodbye (I just can’t rave about how awesome he was enough! At one point he even took the cart out of a towel return shed and got a picture of Tim inside peeking through the slot because he knew he liked the silly shots.)

We went back inside and picked up everyone who was getting bored and kind of sleepy, since no one slept much the night before. This is the scene we came in to:
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%203/Sleepy.jpg

My aunt and MIL bustled my dress and we went over to the Grand Floridan Café for lunch. We were a few minutes late for the reservation and it took a couple minutes for them to get our table ready. In the meantime, my aunt gave me an adorable Eeyore wearing patriotic clothes, with the date on his paw. It was so sweet!

We finally were seated and got our menus. The guys all got black napkins to put over their tux pants. I had to ask for napkins for my dress. They gave me two white ones, one of which was wrapped around my bouquet to dry it when we left. They were kind enough to put it in a big vase of water while we were eating so it didn’t wilt.

I ordered a roast beef sandwich which came with homemade potato chips. It was very good! Sorry no pics...I did manage to keep my dress clean though! DH was drinking Captain and Cokes and MOH ordered this blue glowtini drink that had a glowing ice cube in it. I sat on the far end of the one side of the table, so there was more room for my dress, and DH sat next to me. There was this table of kids’ busy activities next to where we were sitting, so Tim and his brothers were all coloring this picture of Pooh Bear and making it really funny and sometimes obscene.

PIXIE DUST ALERT!!!!!!! :pixiedust:

After lunch everyone was feeling pretty tired, so we decided to head back to the hotel. Our limo time was up, so we had to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, and then catch a bus to the French Quarter.

Walking upstairs to the monorail (the bustle looks a little screwy, because someone stepped on my dress when we were leaving the restaurant and one of the bustle points ripped out. I didn't really care by then, because I was about to take it off anyways. The dress itself was fine.)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%203/WalkingAway.jpg

Waiting for the monorail
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%203/Monorail.jpg

Taking the monorail wound up being a really awesome experience, because when we got to the entrance of the monorail, one of the cast members (I think her name might have been Donna), started talking to us. She asked if it was our wedding day and when I told her yes, she quick took me by the arm and lead us to the front of the monorail! The whole way up she was saying how it was such a special day because it was our wedding day and we needed to do something special to celebrate! We were only allowed to have four people up front, so DH, one of his brothers, MOH, and I rode in the very front of the monorail with the conductor!!! It was so cool!

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%203/Monorail3.jpg

After we arrived at the Magic Kingdom (the monorail ride seemed so short!), we walked down the ramp to the buses and I totally felt like a princess! Everyone kept watching us and congratulating us and saying how beautiful my dress was. I loved it! :)

Riding the bus back to POFQ
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%203/Bus.jpg

When we got back to the resort, Timmy and I went to the front desk to pick up our cake. The cast member brought it out from the refrigerator in the back. As we turned to walk away, one person at the check-in desk started clapping and looked around at everyone else like "COME ON!!". Soon the whole room was clapping and cheering for us at the top of their lungs!! It was like we were celebrities or something! One of the greatest parts of having a Disney wedding was feeling like a celebrity for a day and hearing all day long how wonderful everyone looked and having so many people wishing us a happy life together. It was so amazing!

Once we had our cake, we said goodbye to my aunt (everyone else had already headed off to their rooms) and Timmy carried me over the threshold to our room!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Wedding%20Day%20-%20Part%203/Threshold.jpg

My dress really was pretty comfortable, but it still felt kind of good to get out of it, since it was starting to get pretty hot out and I was feeling overheated. I was very glad that I decided to wear flip flops though, because my feet did not bother me once during the whole day. And if they hurt, it would have been a really big problem with all of the pictures Randy was taking, like having us leap up into the air while we were on the boardwalk. That would have been nearly impossible in heels! Even with the flip flops I managed to trip a couple of times, since there was so much dress surrounding me. Thankfully, I didn’t trip around Randy, so it's not captured forever on film!

The picture of you being carried over the threshold is really sweet too. Wedding Day - Concluded - Fireworks Cruise!!

Later that night, everyone except my aunt and Tim's brother went to the Contemporary Resort and took a fireworks cruise that we booked three months ago. It was terrific! Our driver came here from Brazil and was still working on his English. He was extremely nice and seemed very happy to be in America. This was his first Independence Day, so he was very excited! The boat was all decorated for the Fourth of July, with streamers and noisemakers and everything. There were chips and drinks for us to enjoy while we were out on the lake.

The boat

FIL - you can see the chips in the corner. When we left we grabbed all the chips and drinks we could! We figured it was worth it for what we paid for the ride!

Our wonderful driver who shared all sorts of Disney tidbits throughout the ride!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Fireworks%20Cruise/Driver.jpg

He showed us where there used to be an old water park called River Country that closed when Typhoon Lagoon opened. It is still there, fully intact. We were talking about how it would be so cool to sneak into it and walk around sometime. He also showed us an island where the land is preserved and can never be built on because so many birds inhabit it. He shined his flashlight over there and the trees were almost white with birds!

He also pointed out that if you look at the front of the Wilderness Lodge, it looks like a face! Can you see it? Look carefully!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Fireworks%20Cruise/WL.jpg

Around 9:00, we pulled up in the middle of the lake along with several other boats to watch the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. We were also able to see Epcot's and one of the other park's (don't remember which). It was like a triple, surround-sound fireworks display! They were amazing!

After the fireworks were over, we headed back to the Contemporary and said goodbye to our driver. FIL & MIL headed over to Epcot to do their own thing, while the rest of us headed back to the hotel via the monorail. We got off at the wrong stop, thinking we could catch a bus at the Parking & Transportation Center. We were WRONG, but we got these pics while we were looking for the bus...

All in all, the wedding was absolutely perfect and exceeded my expectations. I would do it again at Disney in a heartbeat and I am sad that it is over. I was surprised at just how fast everything went. I felt like we barely got to see our beautiful cake before it was cut, dismantled, and boxed up. I spent so much time planning all of these little things that wound up not mattering that much in the end anyways. I am so glad that we didn’t spend money on things like Cinderella’s Carriage or visits from different characters, because I honestly did not miss those aspects or wish we had them for one second. The day was absolutely perfect down to the last detail and I feel so lucky to have experienced it. I will always treasure my memories of our wedding day for the rest of my life.

That is so cool that we were at MK at the same time! The fireworks were absolutely spectacular!

As far as the fireworks cruise, we booked a basic pontoon boat (there is a deluxe one too that plays the Wishes soundtrack), which is usually around $250 or something like that I think. We wound up paying much more than that because it was a holiday. I would have never gone for it, except that it was our wedding day and I knew it would be a perfect ending to it and would be very special. Oh, there was also a limit of eight people on the boat we had. There might be bigger ones that hold ten people, but I'm not positive about that. For food, you are not allowed to bring any food or drinks on the boat, but you can order food from Disney Dining to be served. HTH! :goodvibes

Day Three - 7/5/08 - Keys to the Kingdom Tour & Coral Reef Restaurant

We woke up early on this day and went to the Magic Kingdom for the Keys to the Kingdom tour. The group was pretty small...it was just the six of us and about six or seven other people. Our tour guide was Angela. We had these little radios with headsets that we wore the whole five hours so we could hear her even when there was a lot of background noise. She took us all over the Magic Kingdom and pointed out the credits on the windows and told us a lot of history behind the making of the park. I didn’t know that Walt Disney had the idea for Disney World, mapped out where he wanted some things, but then died before any of his plans could go into action. His brother, Roy Disney, came out of retirement and was instrumental in building the park. He dedicated the park to Walt, while Mickey stood by his side.

We got to see behind the scenes, which pretty much was just a giant parking lot (I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I guess I thought it would be a little more magical. Silly me!) Then we got to go down into the Utilidors and see how things happen under the Magic Kingdom. It was neat. Timmy was getting really antsy the whole tour because he really just wanted to see the inner workings of the park. The rest was more of a history lesson, but it was still pretty neat and everyone else really seemed to enjoy it! We had lunch at the Columbia Harbor house, where I had a tuna fish sandwich and kettle chips. The tuna was yummy. There was a cast member there named Jackie who is getting married at Sea Breeze Point in three months and we were sharing info. She is also using Randy for pictures! Smart girl! She was so nice and I really enjoyed talking to her. Timmy was joking that she was just like me and it was like Disney made a clone of me!

We also got some pixie dust on this day! We went to get this Dole Whip thing that our tour guide recommended, and the cast member who served us said it was on him! Our first free dessert! It was great and very exciting!

Later that night, we headed over to Epcot! One thing that Timmy and I thought was really cool was when we were on the bus there, we looked out the window and saw an alligator crawling through the grass next to this swamp! I was very glad that we were on the bus and not out in the grass with him!

When we arrived at Epcot, DH immediately ran into the gift shop, where he bought a new pair of sunglasses that he wore the whole trip and even wound up buying a second pair just in case he lost the first!

Around 8:00, went to dinner tonight at the Coral Reef Restaurant.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/CoralReef.jpg

As a surprise, they had personalized honeymoon menus for us! I had them make a note that it was our honeymoon on the reservation, so that's why we got those. So pretty!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Menu.jpg

We were sitting kind of far back in the restaurant, so we didn’t really get to see the aquarium that well, but it was still a neat atmosphere. To eat, I had lobster bisque, which was alright but I didn’t really like it that much, and N.Y. Strip Steak. The steak was delicious! It came with au gratin potatoes with cheese on them which were very yummy. There was some kind of broccoli with it too, but it looked kind of gross and limp, so I didn’t eat it.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Food.jpg

And we also got a free dessert with a little chocolate banner on it that said “best wishes!” I was very excited about that! It was so good!

All your photos are wonderful, it looks as if you had a really fun day, but I had to laugh at your Surrey bike shots. When we asked Randy to get us on the bikes he said no one had asked him before and he thought it was funny, but we had a great laugh doing them and I'm really pleased with how they came out. I commented that they may just become the next "Maggie shot" like the front of the Boardwalk one, you never know I could be right:goodvibes

I'm sure you will get some pixie dust! It seemed like the Just Married pins got us more congrats and pixie dust than the ears did....

Yes, I thought the Keys to the Kingdom Tour was worth it. It was only $60 (plus park admission, so make sure it's a day you're planning on going to M.K. anyways) and we got five hours of Disney trivia and learned lots of little things about how the park started. We also got to take a special ride on the Jungle Cruise, with our tour guide narrating instead of the regular guide, and we got to go in a back entrance to the Haunted Mansion and get right on with no wait. It was really neat to get to see the backstage and the Utilidors too. Just be prepared for a little bit of the magic to disappear after you see all that and see how Disney really is just a big company like everything else.

I loved your just married shirts and the way you coordinated your red purse with DH's shirt for dinner :goodvibes Y'all are so cute together! Yay for pixie dust :flower3:
Thank you!!!! We got the shirts off of disneyshopping.com. I really liked that purse..it held so much stuff!

I think they really sum up the atmosphere of the Boardwalk.
Cant wait to see the next installment of your TR with hopefully lots more photos!

Wow, I didn't know anyone else did the surrey shots! We were walking past them and DH was like "let's take some pics riding the surrey in our wedding clothes!" I was afraid of getting my dress caught in the pedals and it was a little tricky getting up onto the seat, but it was still really neat! I can't wait to see the professional pictures!

I love the surrey shot too. That made me pick misty as well. I have to make sure I get one. I can't wait to see your professional shot Liz!

Ecoon had a surrey shot in her TR that Misty did. Someone else did too but I can't remember the name.

Day Four - Sunday, 7/6/08 - Hollywood Studios

This morning, Timmy and I actually got to sleep in…until 9:00! It was great! We were kind of lazy and just hung around the room for a while. I dropped my dress off at Bell Services for Carolyn Allen’s to pick up and ship back home. I ate some Cheerios and a granola bar for breakfast, since I was feeling a little gross from all of the rich food we have been eating.

Anyways, around 1:00, DH and I took the bus over to MGM (Hollywood Studios now.)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/B2.jpg

We found FIL & MIL over by Beauty and the Beast and went for lunch at this place across the street called Catalina Eddie’s. It was just a quick sit down place. Tim and I waited on line while MIL found a table. She was wearing a pink shirt. At one point she yelled over that she found a table, which I told Tim. When we got our food, he went and almost sat right down with this lady who had dark hair and a pink shirt, but wasn’t his mom! It was funny. We each got a personal pizza, which was good, and Timmy also got a Hot Italian Deli Sandwich, which was like a regular Italian sandwich that was toasted and had melted cheese on it. He LOVED it! He raved and raved about how much he liked this sandwich. He complimented it so much that his parents each got one too.

My goofy husband and his beloved sandwich

The pizza, which was also very good
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Pizza.jpg

After lunch, we walked around and eventually split up from his parents. We went on Muppets 3-D first. Timmy really didn’t want to go on it, but I did, so we went. I always forget how long it is and I actually started dozing off in the middle of it! I remember that happened last time, but I thought it was just because I was sick and had taken cold medicine. I guess it's just not that interesting to me.

Snooooooooze
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Muppets.jpg

We ran into a freak snowstorm after the Muppet ride and DH was FREEZING!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Snowman.jpg

After that, we walked over to Star Tours. He didn’t really want to go on that either and complained a lot. (Can you tell he was kind of a grump on this day?) We went on it anyways.

Here he is in jail for being such a sourpuss!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/BinJail.jpg

After Star Tours (which I still really enjoy even though it's kinda outdated) we went to get a Coke Icee. The lady there was nice enough to give it to us for free because we just got married! Yay, more pixie dust!! I had my “bride” hat on, and a Just Married pin. We sat on a bench in the shade for a while and it felt so good. It wasn’t too hot…it was really pretty comfortable in the shade and there was a nice breeze. Eventually, we went over and met BIL at the giant hat and then went on the Great Movie Ride. We got right on with no wait at all!

We're off to see the wizard!!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Oz.jpg

Afterwards, I got a text from MOH saying that they were just getting on the same ride, so we waited for them for a few minutes. Timmy got a churro that him, BIL, and I split. Then, MIL, other BIL, & MOH came out of the ride. MIL said that FIL went home for a while because he got a headache and upset stomach after being on Star Tours.

Waiting for the rest of the group (with his new Indiana Jones hat that he loved!)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Hottie.jpg

We looked around in gift shops for a little while, and came across the area where they have busts of all sorts of famous people. DH and his youngest brother had a field day with them!

DH & his idol, Andy Griffith (he goes nuts when the Andy Griffith Show comes on! We have a season pass to it.)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/BnAndy.jpg

Then it was time for our dining reservation at 50’s Prime Time Café.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Cafe.jpg

We had to wait for about ten to fifteen minutes and then we were seated. Tim kept making fun of me for making a reservation until we walked in and he saw how busy it was.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/CafeInside.jpg

We were both a little cranky by the time we sat down and things kind of blew up into a fight, but we managed to work things out. So we had our first marital fight over stupid stuff. It was just kind of embarrassing because we started picking at each other at the table before I stormed outside, so his family knew what was going on. Oh well, it's not like we haven't seen all of them fight with each other a time or two!!

When we got back to the table, our food was there. I had a cherry Coke, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and southern greens (everything was delicious except the greens, which were disgusting!), and angel food cake with berries for dessert. (Sorry no pics except for the cake...I also only remembered the food porn after I had already started eating!)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Cake.jpg

I was a little nervous about leaving greens on my plate, because the gimmick behind the place is the waitresses treat you like their kids and yell at you if you put your elbows on the table or don’t eat your vegetables. (Ours was REALLY into it and yelled at us for everything!) However, when BIL went to the bathroom, DH dumped my greens on his plate (he didn’t eat his either) and we all laughed about it. The waitress nearly ripped his head off! lol The food was pretty good, especially the chicken, which was juicy and delicious. I would go back again for sure. I really liked the atmosphere.

After dinner, Timmy, Robby and I headed back towards the resort. On the way out of the park we stopped at this really neat Antiques and Curios shop which had all kinds of signed memorabilia from different movies. They had the pastel jacket that Dick VanDyke wore in Mary Poppins that was for sale for $65,000!!!!!! (I know that's not how you spell his name, but the program thinks the last half of his last name is a bad word and is editing it out!) haha
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Four/Jacket.jpg

I just got a print of Cinderella’s Castle done by Thomas Kinkade, and a poster of Pooh’s Garden. It has Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet in the middle of a beautiful garden. It came in this really big tube, so I had it shipped home for $10.
We finally made it to the bus stop and had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a bus. This bus just went to Port Orleans, so it had to pass through the French Quarter and Riverside. Instead of stopping at French Quarter first, where he had to literally drive right past the bus stop to get to the other half of the resort, we went to all four stops at the Riverside area. It added about ten minutes onto the bus ride!

When we got back to the hotel, we all went into the pool. The water was nice and warm and it was relaxing. They have a cool water slide that we went down a couple of times. After the pool, we went back to our rooms and I ate some wedding cake (Can't ever have too much cake!) and BIL came over and watched TV with us for a little while before it was bedtime.

My poor demolished cake

I must have missed this. Sorry it took so long but here is where I got the shirts:

http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp/wcs/st...ategoryId=36504

If you really like the exact tees we had, select Mickey from characters, then "multiple characters". The graphic of Minnie & Mickey kissing we used can be found on page three. The font we had was called "Freehand Tight" and it can be found under "script", "casual". Just so you know, they really do run very small...I ordered a large and it fit perfectly. I am usually a small-medium, depending on the shirt. You might want to order a little larger than normal.

I will definately check this out. Although I went to the Disney Store at my local mall a few weeks ago when they were having their annual sale and I must have bought 4 or 5 shirts. The prices were so good - $4.99 each - and then I got a discount on top of that. I have so many disney shirts from over the years I would have to go to WDW for a month to wear them all - but how many times can you wear a Just Married shirt.

I have enjoyed reading your journal and checking out your pictures. I just love your gown. I was originally looking at an AA with claret in it but decied to go all white. Everytime I see your gown I have second thoughts.

Thanks again,

Day 5 - Monday, 7/7/08 - Trail's End Restaraunt and Typhoon Lagoon

We started out the day by heading over to Trail’s End Restaurant in Fort Wilderness for breakfast. MOH had to go have blood drawn first thing in the morning, and DH and MIL went with her because they were the first ones up. When they came back, all seven of us piled into the Ford Edge MIL rented (Tim and Robby had to sit in the trunk!) and went to Fort Wilderness. It took us about five minutes to get there. Once there, we had to take a bus (Settlement Orange) to the stop where the restaurant was. We were the only ones on the bus and DH had to be a goofball as usual:

Here he is with the whole lower section of the bus to himself checking to see if the driver is looking
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Five/TimBus1.jpg

Let me see what I can do with these straps...
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Five/TimBus2.jpg

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!...Hope the driver didn't see that!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Five/TimBus3.jpg

Eventually we made it to Trail's End without any major incidents
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Five/TrailsEnd.jpg

There weren’t very many people there. It almost seemed ridiculous that we had a reservation when there were literally about three other families in the whole place! Oh well, the buffet lines were shorter anyways! I thought it was a character breakfast, but it wasn’t. DH LOVES going to this restaurant for breakfast because it's a buffet but he was mad because we were going to a water park later that day and he said he felt too fat to go. :lmao:

My delicious breakfast (I am so terrible at buffets...I take loads of food and take about one or two bites of each and that's it. I'm so wasteful.)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Five/Breakfast.jpg

On the way out Timmy was highly entertained by a lady blowing bubbles outside the place. She was totally fascinated by them and kept giggling after they came out of the wand.

DH liked the ladle...
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Five/Funny.jpg

Tim, Robby, and I had taken the bus to the next trading post and wound up waiting at the bus stop to get back to the main entrance for a realllly long time while his family impatiently waited for us in the car.

Bridezilla alert!!!!!!!!!!! (haha not really, we were just goofing around)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Five/Bs.jpg

We stopped at the resort for a few minutes while MOH and BIL headed over to Epcot. At 11:30, MIL, FIL, Timmy, Robby, and I went to Typhoon Lagoon. The weather was very warm and sunny when we got there. His parents split up from us, and we went in the wave pool, on Castaway Creek (the Lazy River), and Gangplank Falls.

The last one was really interesting because it was one of those raft rides where a few people share a raft and go down together. First, Timmy decided he didn’t want to go on the ride, so Robby and I got on line without him. Partway through the line, he appeared at a landing above us and decided he would go on the ride with us. So, he scaled down the wall and one of the lifeguards yelled at him to get down off the wall, but didn’t do anything. Then, we finally got on the ride after waiting maybe 25 minutes, and Robby kept purposely falling out of the raft and hanging onto it and riding down on his belly. It was really funny! Then we get to the end and he leaps up into the raft and the lifeguard told him that next time he needs to remain seated the entire time. So Timmy decides to be a smart aleck and proceeds to sit in the raft when he was supposed to get out and asks if he’s supposed to get up. There’s another raft flying down the slide at him and the lifeguard is yelling “yes! Yes!”, and he finally jumps out just as the other raft crashes into him. It was funny.

Then, Tim went to find his parents, while Robby and I went to get on another ride. I forget the name, but it was one of those individual raft rides and they were blue. I kept watching the sky because it was starting to cloud over pretty badly. We got like ¾ of the way to the top, when they told us we had to turn around and go back down the steps because the ride was closed! It had started to lightning, so they closed all of the rides.

Robby and I went and grabbed our stuff off the beach and found everyone else at the locker. We walked over to the food court area, hoping to wait the storm out, since we had only been there about two hours and weren’t even in the wave pool when the big waves came out. There was absolutely no place to sit, so we wound up sitting by some rocks on the ground. This one lady saw my “Just Married” pin, and was nice enough to give me her chair, since they were leaving anyways. More pixie dust in a subtle way!

The upside to this adventure was that the food was very good. We had hot dogs and fries and they were delicious! (Well, as much as a hot dog and fries can be.) I really enjoyed them. After about half an hour of rain it finally stopped and we ventured back out and watched the waves coming out of the gate at the wave pool. We just couldn’t figure out how it worked! Robby was getting a little tired of the park by then, so he decided to head back to the hotel. He briefly toyed with the idea of jumping off the high wall into the wave pool, but we figured a lifeguard would probably see him and throw him out and that would not be good. So then, Tim and I found chairs on the beach and stretched out and took a nap. Afterwards, we went into the wave pool and we sure picked the perfect time because we got to enjoy about six or seven HUGE waves! It was so much fun!

Around 4:30 we decided to head back to POFQ. We just laid around for a while and that night MIL, FIL, and I took the river boat to Downtown Disney. It was so neat riding on the boat! Very peaceful. DH didn't want to go for some reason but I forget why...he might have been sleeping. We walked through about a million shops and FIL was very patient, especially considering he hates shopping! At one point he went to eat dinner in the Rainforest Cafe by himself just to get a break. Then we all met up at Ghiradelli for some YUMMY ice cream! I had a mint sundae and it was sooooooooo good (although not as good as the caramel one I had later in the trip.) Sorry, no pics of this part. We missed the boat going back to the resort, so we had to endure the excruciatingly long bus ride back. It was still a fun night though!

Just trying to catch up a little bit on everything. We alsways enjoy going to 50s too, I usually always get the s'mores, but your dessert looked great too, I might have to try it next time.

It definitely looks like your cake had a rough time. Did they offer to package it cut up or did you just take the top layer as the anniversary one? They were nice enough to box our extra cake up as slices which made it easier to transport.

We like to go to Trail's End too, it's such a great bargain and their corn bread for the later meals is so yummy!

Day Six - Tuesday, 7/8/08 – Comic Book Store and Downtown Disney

This was a rainy, yucky day out so none of us really felt like going to one of the parks. Sometime mid-morning, both BILs, MOH, DH, and I decided to go to the comic book store by Publix. (It held no appeal to me, I just tagged along to get out of the hotel room.) On our way there we found a Cici’s Pizza and stopped for lunch. Tim was so excited! We see commercials for Cici’s and their all-you-can-eat pizza buffet at home, but there are none in NJ or any neighboring states. DH has always wanted to eat there and was thrilled to finally find one! It’s probably a good thing we don’t have one near us, because between him and his one brother Cici’s would be out of business! :lmao:

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Six/Cicis-B2.jpg

Ummm, that's not how you eat pasta, Timmy...
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Six/StrawFood.jpg

After Cici’s we finally made it to the comic book store after getting lost about twenty times since DH decided he didn’t want to take I-4 to get there for some reason. He wound up taking us way far out of the way and then getting on I-4 like the GPS told him to in the first place. The store wasn’t too thrilling to me…I’m not into that stuff but the boys were all thrilled. MOH found some really cute kittens hiding under a table in a box. The owner and his kids were taking care of them.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Six/TiffKitty.jpg

While they were all looking around, I wandered over to Publix and bought some nail polish remover since my manicure was starting to look sad by that point. I really didn’t want to go back in the store, so I went in the next store over, which was some kind of spy store where they sold nanny cams and fake cans of Pringles and corn that you could hide stuff in.

We finally found our way back to the hotel and hung out for a while. Eventually I got sick of it and decided to find out what we were going to do that night. I started to walk with DH over to the two rooms where everyone else was staying when I got the most pleasant surprise…ducks right outside our door!! I LOVE ducks and was super excited. I ran back into the room and grabbed my camera and our leftover pretzel bread from our CRT dinner. I took about a billion pictures of the ducks and got to feed them a lot. It was so fun! Oh, I think I forgot to mention that earlier in our trip I was walking past the courtyard right by our room, when I saw three ducks all chasing each other. I went in our room for a minute and when I came out one duck was being humped by another and biting the third duck!! It was so strange! I never knew duck orgies were part of the entertainment at POFQ!

Look how cute!!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Six/Ducks.jpg

Can I take him home??
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Six/B2Ducks.jpg

So after our duck fest, we finally decided to go over to Downtown Disney to walk around and see Wall-E. It was still raining and was actually a little chilly out, so it was a perfect night to sit in the movies. We quick bought our tickets when we got there, then strolled around waiting for it to start. There wasn’t too much time, so we had to eat at McDonalds (which seemed like such a let-down after all the awesome food we had been eating! :rotfl: ) We made it to the movie on time and had really good seats. I wasn’t really thrilled about seeing Wall-E since I didn’t know what it was about and thought it was dumb looking, but it was AWESOME!!!!!! He was so frickin’ adorable I could hardly stand it! I loved seeing it with DH…it was kind of romantic! I can’t wait until it comes out on DVD. It was so good I took my Little Sister to see it when we got home, and I never see movies twice in the theater.

The Hulk in the lobby tried to eat Tim's phone!!!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Six/HulkEat.jpg

The only way to calm was for MOH & BIL to press his right nipple...go figure!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Six/HulkNipple.jpg

After the movie, we stopped by Virgin Records and I bought Weezer’s Red Album and Beck’s Modern Guilt. I’ve hardly listened to the Beck CD because I can’t stop listening to Weezer. Their new album is amazing!

Ok, now that my music plug is over, back to what’s left of this day. I bought the CDs, we drove back to POFQ, and went to bed. The End. Wasn’t that an exciting ending?

I looked through some of your pictures last night and Randy did a fantastic job. I love some of the goofy shots with your DH climbing up on things, etc. Some of the Photoshopped ones are amazing too. Randy never ceases to amaze, although I'm sure having a great wedding to shoot also helps :bride:

Here's some pics of the Blurb book I made to give to Tim's parents and my aunt. The pictures in the book didn't come out quite as sharp as I would have liked, but they're still alright. I got the image wrap option (hardcover with no dust jacket), so it cost like $40 with shipping.

Here is the shadowbox I did to hold all the little things from our wedding I didn't know what to do with. In it are a couple pics, my hidden mickeys from my bouquet, DH's cufflinks, my garter, a sandwich pick thingy from the GF from lunch, pearl strand that was wrapped around our cake, a flower from my hair, one of our just married pins, and a piece of confetti from our Crystal Palace breakfast. I bought the shadowbox at Disney.

The shadowbox is a great idea. We had a lot of random things too that ended up taking over a cabinet in our livingroom. I think Kris would have liked it if I could have kept them in a shadowbox :goodvibes I love how you saved the pearls from your cake and little things like the pick from the GF. After breakfast at the Crystal Palace we went back to POFQ, dropped off most of the fam, grabbed DH's brother, and the three of us headed to Universal Studios. We invited everyone else, but they were party poopers and wouldn't go.

On the moving sidewalk heading to the park
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/Robby.jpg

We made it!!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/Universal.jpg

No picture, but we had to wait in a really long-*** line to get tickets. It was like 40 minutes! We bought our tickets and also added the fast-pass option so we were able to get right on every ride without having to wait at all. It was so awesome!! Definitely worth the money. We tried to go on the Jimmy Neutron ride, but it was not working so we ditched it and made a bee-line over to The Simpsons Ride (IT WAS FRICKIN' FANTASTIC! Like being on a real roller coaster!)
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/Simpsons.jpg

We were all nostalgic after being in the old Back to the Future building (Simpsons replaced it) but in the middle of all our walking around we stumbled across the Delorean and the train from the ride!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/BTTF.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/BTTF2.jpg

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/Train.jpg

Because of the fast passes we got to jump right on lots of rides, so we took full advantage of it. We went on Simpsons, Jaws, E.T., Men in Black, and the Mummy. Tim almost went on the Mummy with Robby and I, but decided at the last minute to sit it out to hold our stuff...good thing he did! I thought it was just a 3-D ride until we got all the way up to the turnstiles to get on the ride and saw it was a high-speed roller coaster! I'm not really a big roller coaster fan, but didn't want to chicken out, so I went on it. It was crazy! The ceiling was on fire at one point and we were whipped all over the place in total darkness (like Space Mountain.)

While we were at E.T., one of the figures in the gift shop got a little randy with my hubby...
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/ET.jpg

I spent a while in the Lucy museum...I can just never get sick of that place!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/Lucy.jpg

Around dinner time we decided to head over to Islands of Adventure, where we had some really yummy pizza. DH and I visited Dr. Seuss Land, while Robby went on The Hulk.
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/Seuss.jpg

We were kind of annoyed that the rest of DH's family backed out on coming to Universal, since it's so awesome, so we decided to really make them jealous and went to see The Blue Man Group!

Up next...Blue Man Group

Lizby
09-25-2008, 11:03 AM
I almost forgot! There is place in Islands of Adventure that sells funnel cake but the sign says "Fun-L", so ever since we saw it like four years ago, Tim, Robby, and I always call it "fun-l" when we order it anywhere. We could never remember why we did that until we saw the place again!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/Fun-L.jpg

So anyways, after walking around for like a billion hours all day, we decided to go to see the Blue Man Group. It didn't start until 9:00 and I was already super tired from all the walking. It was so amazing, but I hate to admit that I did doze off during the parts that were a little less exciting because I was just exhausted and my legs hurt bad. I would have killed for some Advil! We couldn't take pictures during the show, so here are some of us waiting for it to start.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/BMG.jpg

The stage
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/BMG2.jpg

The ticker that was saying all these outrageous, funny things while we were waiting
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/BMG3.jpg

They gave us these crepe paper streamers when we got there that we weren't sure what to do with, so Tim and Robby made up their own uses
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/BMG4.jpg

So much fun!!
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p103/hunnny83/Day%20Seven/BMG5.jpg

So the show finally started and I immediately started to doze because they were beating on these paint drums for like ten minutes. It did get more interesting and they were using PVC pipes as instruments which was so cool! We chose seats that were in the middle because the guy at the window told us they do a lot of audience participation and we didn't want any part of that. Much to our dismay, the blue men walked up the armrests through the middle of the audience! Fortunately, we were not picked, although there were some anxious moments. Towards the end of the show they turned on blacklights and strobe lights and had like twenty HUGE, HUGE rolls of crepe paper in the back, which they were streaming out into the audience. We were throwing it everywhere and it looked SO cool! Definitely something to go to again (just don't be tired when you get there!)

Hi there!!! I've mostly been a lurker throughout your PJ and TR, but I just wanted to tell you that I really am enjoying the TR. The wedding was beautiful and it looks like you guys had a great time.

The wedding itself was just over $4000 (I know the price has gone up since then though.) Randy was a steal of a deal. We only paid just over $600 for him and he was AWESOME! The GF lunch was a couple hundred dollars...don't know an exact amount though. Most of the money went towards flights, hotels, food, and spending dough. It was still way less than we would have paid to have a wedding in NJ, and it was everything I wanted in every way!

Wow, I am so flattered! :flower3: I think you are making a terrific choice. After looking at all the other wedding locations, DH and I knew we would pick SBP a million times over. It is just so beautiful! You won't regret your decision :)

Thank you for the compliments! We did have an escape wedding and we were very pleased with the service. Our planner, Tanis, was very quick to respond to any questions we had and was just wonderful.

Liz,

I just wanted to say thank you! DF and I have been having a really hard time with our home wedding idea to the point where we were miserable planning it. Df got the idea in his head about the escape weddings because he's known i'd always wanted to get married in Disney. He asked me to do alittle research on the escape wedding and when i searched it on the boards you and Lynn's TR came up. We looked at both of your pictures and thats when we decided to say Hell with the home wedding we're escaping to disney! I thanked Lynn and now i wanted to thank you! ever since DF saw the pics of you guys in all your wedding attire on the monorail its been all he's thought about!

Thank you so much!

Hi Katie! I'm so glad that my TR has helped you. I hope you are as happy with your decision to have an Escape wedding as my DH and I were. Riding on the monorail was such an awesome experience!

WOW!!! I just found your trip report this evening and spent the last 3 hours reading it! Your wedding was just beautiful and you and your honey look absolutely perfect together. I loved all of your pictures and your dress and flowers were knock outs! Thank you for sharing your amazing journey!

On a side note: Correct me if I'm wrong here...but don't you have a few days of your honeymoon left to post still? :rotfl: I would love to hear the rest...however, I totally understand that time creeps up on you. (I am coming up on my 2 year anniversary and still haven't started my trip report! :confused3)

Thanks! Yes, I did skip a few days on my TR, but it has been so long now that I don't even remember what we did on those days! :lmao: The most interesting stuff has already been posted, but I can tell you were paying attention to notice that I didn't finish! :)
