What is ideal time to get to port?

We get in the night before so we have control over when we get to port -- when should we leave the Radisson so that we minimize waiting in line time, but also preserve our ability to make reservations at Palos and Flounders Reef. I want to avoid getting there too early and just standing around while by DH glares at me that we should have had a relaxing morning at the hotel.

They don't open the gates until 10:30 am, so don't plan on getting there any earlier than that.

They open the gates at 1030, but what time do they start boarding the ship? I am trying to figure out which Radisson shuttle to take over there. Thanks.

They start to board anytime from 12:15 to 1:00.

We took the 12/20/01 Wonder Cruise and arrived at 11:30am. Five minute wait to drop our bags curbside with our rental car - zero wait upstairs to check-in. We were close to the front of the line when we boarded at 12:15.

I wouldn't kill myself to get there much earlier. The important thing is to beat the busses which arrive later.

Just back from 2-2 Magic, we booked 1040am Radisson shuttle and even though it was running 10 minutes late we arrived at the port at 11am sharp, checked luggage, and finished check-in by 1130am, and the lines for check-in were not bad at all.

The line to board the ship was another story though, but still not bad. We dawdled a bit getting into the boarding line and it quickly snaked all the way through the cruise terminal by 12noon.

They started the boarding around 1220 I think and we were in the second wave of "embarkers" (they boarded the first large group of 100-200 people, then all of us remaining next in the line had to wait 5-10 minutes for our "second wave" of 100-200 to board). That was OK though, it was only 1245 then and my family headed straight for Deck 9 buffet to eat while I ran up to Palo for ressies. It worked out just fine.
