Hi all,

SO and I are doing our first trip to FW Oct. 13-16. We will be tent camping and are planning to ask for the 1500 loop since that seems to be the most convenient as far as tent loops go. I do have a few questions though. Our tent can be attached to the back of our SUV, so how deep are these sites? Also, will a 20-foot outdoor extension cord be long enough if the tent is more or less in the middle of the site or should we get a longer one?

We've already done our ADR's at Trails End and Hoop-de-doo and we know about the Hayride, the movies, the sing-along and the Water Pageant. Is there anything else we should know about and try to do?

I would bring several lenghts of cords. Mine are allways just a little bit short. Also bring a power strip and a fan for in the tent, some tarps for shade and ground covers. Look at the thread "FW picture of the day" and also the thread of "pictures of your camp-site" for some ideas about the differant layouts of the sites.

If you do not have reservations yet you better call NOW!!!!

TOTALLY echoing the recommendation for the fan! :thumbsup2 I tent-camped last fall and was just a bit too warm in the evenings when I first turned in.

Hi P-Jeff and T&SMom,

We have the fan and power strips as part of our normal equipment but thanks for the reminder. We made all our reservations, site and dining about a month ago now, so no worries there. We plan on doing breakfast at the site and lunch/dinner at the parks or resorts.

I must say though, I'm surprised no one mentioned a coffee maker. SO won't go anywhere without one so we have one in our equipment.
