I know the dates!:cool2:

I could tell you, but then I would have to kill you. :rolleyes1

I hear that Bigdisneydaddy has a huge cult following. Maybe we should withhold the dates and auction them off to the highest bidder. After all, we have reservations at the same time and someone needs to pay for these multiple trips. My husband's wallet would appreciate the break.:rotfl2:

Poor Scott. He is just an innocent bystander and he get's picked on. I hope I can get a ressie during that time. We're working on a halloween party weekend now. Wish us luck. BTW Annie says hey MrsGus. She misses your gang.

Hi Annie! I am sorry I did not get back to you sooner, but Addie would not let me stay put long enough to check the computer. Bad, Bad Addie.

Yep, I think if people are willing to hunt him down to give him beer (I have seen this offered a lot on the boards and once in person from ProudMom) they will be willing to grease the palms of those in the know. I am just offering my services to make the hunt a little easier on them. Of course, the Ft. could have some kind of scavenger hunt and have Scott as one of the items. He is very hard to find at times. The winner could receive a case of beer! To be donated to Scott, of course.:rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I have been hiding in plain sight !

check my signature, my rig is in the picture and it says The Carters on both ends. There arent too many trees that I can hide behind at FW (its not because the trees are skinny either)

Some tips on finding me.......

my name is on the trailer

the aluminum recycle bin in our loop will be full

the smell of sweet baby rays BBQ sauce

either 70's music or bluegrass on the radio

watching Nascar under the awning

washing a big blue Chevy diesel pickup

its no more complicated than that.......

serioulsy ... Thanks for the laugh, its been a tough week up here and its nice to think about FW.

That is true! I have seen the name on both ends! I am a believer that Bigdisneydaddy exists! But, then I checked the signature like you suggested above. What I see in the picture is a copy of the FRONT of your camper, not the END! :lmao: You need to change your picture for those of us who are "Carter finding challanged".:rotfl:

About Us --STUBB'S

GROWING UP

Stubb was born March 7, 1931 in
Navasota, a small town on Texas’
Brazos river; one of 12 children born
to a Baptist evangelist preacher and his
wife. Some say that Stubb inherited his love
for cooking from his father who would
feed his congregation barbecue along with the gospel. Stubb recalls revival meetings followed by potluck dinners featuring beef, pork and even raccoon and possum. When he was still a young boy, Stubb and his family moved to a farm near Lubbock. Stubb spent much of his youth picking cotton.

THE ARMY YEARS

Many say it was in the U.S. Army where Stubb actually became a cook. Stubb joined the military and was assigned to the 96th Field Artillery Battalion, in one of the Army’s last all African-American unit, as a gunner and tank driver in the Korean Conflict. Stubb served his unit and country honorably, and was decorated with two Purple Hearts in the process.Stubb was reassigned as a Mess Sergeant where his cooking became so popular that many officers tried to have Stubb transferred to their units. In a way, Stubb’s mess hall was the first incarnation of a Stubb’s Bar-B-Q restaurant. In addition to serving great food, Stubb would play popular records and broadcast them on the field radio so his buddies could hear. Never conventional in his cooking, Stubb would fry onion peelings in the morning, letting the aroma waft through camp to whet appetites. One time, he commandeered some Jell-O to make some sort of ice cream for the troops, and was known for making chili on the hot tail-pipe of an army tank. While the troops enjoyed his cooking, they would listen to Stubb tell stories of Texas and somehow home did not seem so far away.

Yes, the bottle just says "Stubbs". Honest truth, this sauce is better for dipping than basting, my opinion. We like to use a dry rub when cooking and add sauce later. I am a "saucy" person regardless of how good they are, I like the sauce.

Spicy sounds good. I use a rub before cooking and then add the sauce during the last 30-45 minutes.

Navasota, Tx is a short drive from where I live. I am a big fan of Stubbs. They have expanded their offering of sauces/rubs & marinades from the 2 flavors listed above. Their "Wicked wing sauce" is excellent & the moppin' sauce is very distinct (in a good way).

There is a Stubb's BBQ restaurant and bar in Austin Tx. They have great live music in a honky-tonk environment. Real cool place to hang out, eat and drink to ruination. I recommend it, especially if Robert Earl Keen is playin'. :cool2:

You can go to the Stubb's website and order whatever you require.

http://www.stubbsaustin.com/

Lately I have a thing for Ragin Cajun sauce on pork ribs. It is a great mopping sauce....real thin/watery so it doesn't carmelize the meat yet keeps it nice and moist. It is not expensive and works on ribs soooooo good (ancient chinese secret good IMHO). We use it so frequently we just call it Cajun Catsup (er Ketchup....).

http://www.ragincajunfoods.com/products2.asp?sCat=3

You can then bring these sauces to FW and have a big ole party when you finally find this big guy :thumbsup2 (back on topic).

One final comment for the Michigan folks. I was in Michigan recently on business and commend you on your fine micro-breweries. Bells, New Holland & Old Boys were standouts. :thumbsup2

I keep on trying to become a beer conniseur, but I just can't get past my good ole watered down Bud. Something about beer with taste just seems wrong to me...lol.

I really have tried recently, I've been doing my research, buying different beers while out shopping. I think maybe I just haven't found exactly what I like yet, I do know that I don't like dark beers, never have. There are some pale ale's I can stand, such as Bass (and there is one called Nevada something that I'm looking forward to trying).

In the end though, nothing is better to me then finishing off a long hard day with a nice cold Bud.

I will keep on trying though, I know that I enjoy quite a few of the beers in Epcot, so I just gotta keep on trying. And trying, and trying, and ok yes I'll have another ;)

Oh trust me, I'm not knocking them, it's what I drink ;)

Although I'm much more a Bud guy than a Miller Lite. I definitely can taste a difference between them, and Miller Lite just has a more bitter taste to it, to me at least.

:drinking: :drinking1 :drinking:

I'm not much of Bud or Miller Lite guy, but the new Miller Chills is not bad. A few years ago, Budweiser had a promotion where they brought fresh brewed Bud to all NFL home openers. The beer had been bottled the same day as the game. That beer was very, very good! I drink Harp, Moosehead, Molsons and LaBatts now.

Being close to Canada, Molson & LaBatts is about $13 per 28 bottle case. Not bad. Unfortunately Moosehead is $25 and Harp is $27.

Oh well.

Jim Kelley? Nah, never heard that one, I don't even think we're close....lol. Maybe it's just that picture.

Here's a picture of me in Montana, I was trying to blow "smoke" cause it was so cold out, something us Floridians love to do ;)

http://b1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/01502/13/77/1502357731_l.jpg

Notice the Pirates of the Caribbean skull cap? ;)

P.S. I tried one of those Miller Chills (at least I think it was), the Cerveza one, supposed to have the taste of salt and lime in it. Ugh, could barely stand it, the aftertaste was horrible to me.

Oh, and since I posted that picture, might as well post a picture of my newphew, he's on our oak tree swing with my brother (I'm in the background). Isn't he the cutest kid in the world? (until we have our own baby of course...lol).

Not a problem w/Bud or that other beer you mention (ok maybe a little bit of a problem w/miller lite for me). I like most beers (except for that Philipino beer with formaldehyde in it- San Miguel- ach my fillings...) Try a Shiner beer sometime. They have quite a few offerings. Sudeten Deutsch /Czech/ Texas type beer. Good for what "ales" you....

Bud is my "at-home sippin'" beer. However, when I travel, I like to try regional beers to get a flavor of the area (the buzz is nice too.....)

There is a town in the Czech Republic named Budweis (in Czech it looks more like Budějovice). They have a brewery which sells Budweiser branded beer that pre-dates Anheiser-Busch. Beer isn't bad, but there is much bad blood between them & AB (lawsuits etc).

I lived in Bavaria for 5 yrs (married a German gal to boot). Oh the memories...... They wrote the book on beer brand longevity. Beer is a recognized food group there and Germans have very specific views on brewing & purity standards dating back to at least 1516. I say, bless them and the teutonic attention to detail which they apply to brewing. The results are heavenly. Unfortunately, when applied to other ventures, results are not so good.....

Um, have we found this guy yet? Which campsite is he hiding in? Is there really a Michigan loop? If so, are the Golf Carts rusty there?

I don't know about a Michigan loop but let me tell you this. What they've done is all changed their last name to Carter. I guess it's some kind of Camo type thing so they just blend in. Have always been a Carter so its not part of the evil plot. Its kind of like how smart people tend to seek out smart people, us Carters seek out Carters. Its subliminal and we dont even know its going on ! You can be an honorary Carter but it requires a certain degree of instability.

If I had a golf cart it would be rusty no doubt.... they throw salt on the roads up here like its going out of style, I never will understand the theory behind dumping salt on a dry road, 40 degrees outside and the sun is shining. :confused3
