MLP Baby Book Pages: DUE DATE APPROACHING!! DUE 9/28

Hi everyone!!! As you know one of our fellow scrappers, MyLittlePiglet (MLP) has a bundle of joy on the way... and beautiful bouncing baby girl!!!!

Buffy and I would like to host a baby page swap like we did for PatchChild...

The idea is to create a two-page layout for your theme. You may chose as many themes as you would like. If you think of more ideas, post them..and I will add them to the list.. there can be numerous general pages so sign up for whatever you would like. We will be making a 2- page layout for an 8X8album.

Everyone will send their creations to one person (Buffy; will post additional info later) and she will put all the pages into an album and send them on to MLP.

DUE DATE FOR THE LAYOUTS TO BE RECEIVED IS SEPTEMBER 28. This will give us time to get them into the album and to MLP(MyLittlePiglet) before the big day!!

Also please include a tag 2 x 3 in size embellished for the sign- in pocket. This tag should have your name, your DIS name, and what pages you created.
Please post here on your status and when you mail.. Buffy and I will be monitoring this routinely in case there are issues or problems.

I'm planning on making a couple of two page layouts for my "naptime" pages. I'm pretty sure they will be completely different and would probably go in different parts of the album. Is that OK? I was thinking naptime and nighttime.

Or is there some other thing I could do instead? I just don't get much chance to make baby girl pages and I want to play!

One thing I did get accomplished tonight- I planted a seed. An idea. Each year the sixth grade goes to Chicago on a field trip. Tonight was open house at school and I was talking to one of DS's teachers about the trip. She mentioned they were dropping a place off the list of stops because it didn't seem to interest this age group. I told her that it was too bad we couldn't stop at Ghirardelli's.:confused3 Her eyes lit up! She said if they could figure out a way to work it in as a standard, she would look into it. She was actually excited about it! Cool! Now I may not have to wait until next fall to get my fix. <musters up best Homer Simpson voice> Mmmmm...warm brownie sundae!!!!:lmao:

No help here gals- my baby days are long gone. Had that taken care of after DD was born. I had a miscarriage early in our marriage, then gestational diabetes with both DS and DD. DH said since we have one of each, it was time to quit. It would take an act of God for me to get preggers now.

Ugh!! I could cheerful kick my DH in the shins right about now.:mad:
He hooked up this new color printer, but it is only for his photos. It's not meant for printing on textured paper.
What he did with the cable for the other printer? He doesn't remember. :headache: And doesn't know when he is going to buy a new one. I still have the apple laser jet, but it leaves this really dark grey shadowy streak in the middle and on the side of the paper.

I don't have stamps small enough to do the "She's Her" page. No alphaletters either. (I gave them all away:) )

Can some else do that page?

can you cut everything out, and do a dry run of the assembly of everything and take a pic? Then disassemble it and mail it to me and e-mail me the pic. I'll print what you need and then put it all together.

Also, I didn't remember that there was a spot to sign up for "It's a Girl". One of my pages (I think my sign up slot was called at the hospital) says, "Welcome Little One". When I was working on the other side of that double page spread, I made a stork carrying a baby girl tear bear. It just needed something else...that's when I cut out the "It's a Girl" letters on the Cricut. I'm sorry if I stepped on toes with that one. AWM, please let me know if you'd like me to redo that part or if it is okay that way.:flower3:

BUT, I can't print out the informational stuff as my printer isn't mine own anymore. It would be easier for me to change than you. I'll keep the "it's a girl" die cut, because it's a recurring theme for this book. :lmao: And just turn my pages into more general ones.

My pages have paper that have "It's a Girl", Teddy bears, girlie flowers & stuff on it, so that die cut matches all the pages I'm doing with the paper.
I'm not going to do the informational stuff and just make it a photo mat instead. So yours can be the REAL "Here She Is, It's a Girl" pages.

Girls!! No stresses.. As a mom of a girl.. the only girl... and BAMB will tell ya... WE can NEVER have enough pages that announce "It's a GIRL".. I get asked all the time.. Well, how did that happen.... Someday I just may go into a song and dance and explain it in detail.. "Well, DH and I were having a nice date.. well, than .. and than... and wow! 9 months later I had a GIRL!"

I have FINALLY mailed! Be expecting it later in the week. Oh, and when you see the box, it's not from Amazon- the PO didn't have a box that suited me and everything (you will understand when you open it ;) ) wouldn't fit in a PM envie, sooo, I just used the box I took it and the tag book swap in to the PO. Another thing, when you open the cardboard envie thingy that's inside the box, that's where the pages are and on the back, the tape is folded over to make pull tabs (sorta) so the pages aren't damaged when opened.:)

:blush: Yep, I noticed that a few days ago.:) I love clearance sales! If I see a clearance sign, I'm so there checking it out. You never know what you might find!;) One of my best finds is my ceiling fan in my bedroom. I was in Lowes one day looking at fans and there was this really nice Kichler (sp?) ceiling fan in a cart w/a clearance sticker on it. It was originally priced at $250, marked down to $200. It was beautiful, but I was looking to only spend $60-$80. As I was browsing, a couple of workers were looking it over and one of them asked me if I was interested in it. I told him it was still a little out of my price range. He said he was going to mark it down to $50! I snapped that puppy up! They even took it apart, walked with me to the register, and loaded it into my truck (it is HEAVY!).

yep. It was good thing you did it that way too. The tags had slid out of the pages and the bottom of the box popped open on one side. Luckily nothing fell out. Very cool goodies btw. Should I keep them or send them on to MLP?? ;)

Sorry I have been MIA, I was waiting on some page refills but they have not arrived so I went out a bought some refills that don't quite fit but I'm making it work. We had a huge party 400+ people yesterday so I have been really busy with that. I'm in the process of uploading pics now, it just takes some time. I'll send Nancy a link to the slideshow when I'm done, and the book should be in the mail today!

It was beyond crazy!! Everyone parks at our house and the party is at Mom's next door. Our entire field was filled with cars, my mom's yard was filled with classic cars, steam boats, tractors, steam engines etc. We had an auction of steam engines that must have gone well, the first engine went for $200, which was a little toy engine no a huge one. There is a guy who makes t-shirts for us and sells them, he made $380 that he gives us to donate. So we will be sending that money to ST. Jude's this year.
The food line was out the door as always. We fed about 350 people in less than an hour. People brought so much food it was on every flat surface in the dining room.
And the weather was perfect! The sky was the prettiest shade of blue, we still had leaves on the trees. Just gorgeous! I'll post a new thread in the main forum with pics.

you have to click on each pic to see 10 pages. I can only add 10 pages to each slide show. If that doesn't work then I'll PM you the password.

there is 63 pages in all, minus the pages for the tags because some of those had real names on them.

When i have two free hands i plan on writing more about why you guys are so awesome and why i lLOVE the album. Glad it arrived safe and sound. Sorry it's not the most attractive binding job in the world but that sucker is huge! I think once pics go in it might need to be divided into 2 books.

The binding did make me laugh. I have a 8 X 8 disney album that is complete that looks like that becuase I do not want to have it in two books LOL. I have a album I got at target that I think will coordinate with the one you picked out so I am good to go!!!
