I would like to stay at a budget resort, but still have some of the nice ammenites for my kids. Any ideas? We would only be staying about 3 nights in Sept 07.
Thanks

Check out the price of Holiday Inn Sunspree. I stayed there a long time ago... maybe 1997? It was very kid-friendly.

When I read your post I thought of the Holiday Inn Sunspree, too. Some of their suites are themed, I think they call them Kid Suites. Childrens' activities for a fee, good sized pool area. The hotel/resort is located on Route 535 near I-4 and fairly close to Downtown Disney.

Travel zoo has the Nickhotel for $99 (+ $20 resort fee). That's not budget priced but it's a good price for the Nick hotel.

Why not consider the Disney budget hotels :wizard: - if you intend only going to Disney parks during your stay it could work out better for you as you can use their buses etc to get around and may not need to hire a car. The rooms aren't big but if you are going to be mainly in the parks why pay more for something that you are not using. The pools on the budget hotels are good too - each hotel has 3 pools so if one if busy you can walk over to another one.

:lmao: :thumbsup2 I thought of the SunSpree, too! When our kids were younger we really enjoyed staying there (if they still fit in the bunk beds we'd probably still stay there!). anyway, they have the extra space and for that we found the $$$$ to be totally worth while. There was also kid karaoke and kid bingo. The pool was really nice, and they had free movies running in a small theater off the lobby almost all the time. We saw a magician (not the best, but the kids loved it!) there too.

Disney with little kids....now that's magic. Enjoy
