I read on another thread that people are "carded" when ordering drinks in the adult only areas.

I know you move about the ship with your room card on you as it's cashless system. Do you also need to have y our drivers license on you when ordering a drink?

I am already worried about my husband or I misplacing our license as we are always in the pool or hot tub.

looking for suggestions.

thanks

I only needed my KTTW card, but then I don't look close to being 21 years old, the legal drinking age on the ship. It would be nice to be carded again, but I'd probably have to bribe them to do it.

I bought a waterproof lanyard thing that we used to hold 2 Dls and 2 KTTW acrds, and it had room to spare. We used it when we went to Castaway Cay, when we did have to have a picture id as well as the KTTW card and it worked great. It sealed well enough that everything stayed dry even when we snorkled. It just looped over my head and kept all of the cards safe and dry. It cost $5, and I forgot to get it onboard so I bought it at She Sells ... on Castaway Cay.

If you look in the lower left-hand corner of you KTTW card, you'll see a 2 digit number. This is the year you were born :)

If there's any doubt, I believe that you're age is encoded on the magnetic strip on the back of the card as well. If they swipe the card to charge a drink, it comes back with the "under 21" error message. I can't remember who told me this, but it makes sense to me.

In any case, you don't need an additional ID to order alcohol. Your KTTW card will suffice.
