Leaving Tomorrow... Going Crazy Today

We leave tomorrow and I am going crazy. I finished all of my projects and documentation by Friday last week (I work as a software developer). Obviously my boss doesn't want me to start a new project when I am going away for almost 3 weeks so right now I am "researching and reviewing" :rolleyes: . Basically this means I am reviewing our documentation and searching the internet for the latest information on technology and trends. On a good day this is my least favourite thing to do, but with a trip tomorrow and having already done this for two days, how am I expected to maintain any kind of focus :confused3 Worse still... I have to work tomorrow!! I work 8:30-11:30 tomorrow.

So is anyone else having trouble focussing at work with a trip close??

That's exciting. I love the feeling I have the day or two before a trip. The excitement is so much better than the normal daily work routine. I'm sure today and tomorrow are going to seem so long for you though as you count the hours.

You are not alone. I am having a hard time focusing at work and my next trip isn't until May 2008. ;) ;) ;)

Well I'm now down to the last 3 hours of work. Of course I was up to 2:00 this morning so I'm working on a little less than 3 hours sleep... but hey, it's all for a good cause :thumbsup2

We leave Saturday morning at 8 am and I am determined to have everything packed and the house clean today (Thurs) so tomorrow we can sleep in, relax, make sure the kids take naps and get to bed early (ya right :) ). I have problems concentrating for those periods during the day when I'm stuck at a desk. We leave on the 10th of September but I really only have 8 actual work days left before the wedding and honeymoon due to my 12hr work schedule. So, I'm counting down the days and doing more disney research that is really not neccesary just to pass the time. Hope this morning passes quickly for you and have a great trip. I know I will be so excited the day before!!!

We are leaving at that time as well, or perhaps I should say, we'll be sitting at the airport waiting for the plane. :) Flight leaves at 8:15, but we have to be there, as per usual, two hours early.
