We are excitedly packing for our trip!

How many bottles of sunscreen should I take for our 10 day trip?

We use lots of it, we are pale Canadians!

We will be at the waterparks 2-3 days too, so will reapply lots.....

What do you suggest?

Thanks

I did one per person with one extra - but we used the spray on stuff and that seems to go quicker....

We are a family of 4, but DH balks at using sunscreen, so I'll say 3 people. For one adult and 2 kids, we went through 2 tubes of it on a 7 night/8 day trip. We applied it before we headed to the park in the morning, and then again before we went to the pool for the afternoon.

Great question, I have bought 6 bottles so far for our three week trip for two people. My children have sensitive skin so they will need specific types and I'm not sure of the available brands in the USA. They are ok with Ambre Solaire and AVene but I don't know if they are available in Florida.

We get a bottle that is sweat proof and water proof DH uses it 1st thing in the AM before getting dressed he's set to go for the day. It's part of his daily routine in summer anyway an even then usually only goes thru a bottle a summer.

Myself I have no use for sun screen unless maybe I would go to water park early May when I not had no sun for a few months.

For sunscreen lotion, you're supposed to apply one ounce to get good coverage (one ounce is about one shot-glass full). If you apply less than that, you're not getting the full SPF listed on the bottle - most people don't apply nearly enough, according to my dermatologist.

Even if a sunscreen is labeled waterproof and sweatproof, you're supposed to reapply every few hours, especially if you're going into the water.

This should help you calculate how much to bring!

I bring two per person for a week's trip. We have typical Irish skin and burn easily. And I want to avoid buying it there; way too costly!
