OK....I've posted this question on the dining board...but I'm not getting much help. I know there are lots of people here that have stayed at FW during the Christmas/New Years holiday period....so I am asking for your input PLEASE.

We are working on booking our Dec '08 trip. I know the parks are really busy during that time and we are going to go to all 4 of the parks this next trip. We plan to be at MK for Christmas Eve and NYE.

I am trying to figure out what to do about our meals. I am afraid to leave the parks to come back to FW midday like we did last time because I've read that the parks are frequently at capacity on the holidays and we won't be able to get back in. I do plan on making ADR's for dinner each night.

(1)Are the counter service restaurants at the parks that time of year really busy ?? :confused3 CS would be easier because we could just eat when we wanted to. But if we are going to have to wait in really long lines and then wait again for a long time for a spot to sit..maybe it would be better to have ADR's at a table service place for lunch too.

(2) Do you need ressies for lunch/breakfast at Trail's End ??

Any opinions or thoughts from the holiday regulars ?? I know it's early, but we are trying to figure out if we want to include the DDP on our ressie.

On the day of the actual holiday... once you're in the park... stay in the park. If cost/time is an issue, fill a back-pack with PB&J's, snackies, and anything else you think you would like to munch on. We've been there when the parks were actually over the state allowed capacity, and you don't want to spend precious time standing in lines for something to eat. Or... check out the restaurants that allow ressies & eat there so you can better plan your time.

I was going to post a picture of FW at Christmas and I couldn't find one! I'll have to fix that this next trip.

I love the Fort during Christmas week.

Don't misunderstand, I've never been during that time. But when we go in January, everyone's gone home.:thumbsup2
