I just wanted to say thank you to those who have shared their opinions and know how on this board. Thanks to you, I feel more comfortable with renting an ECV for my mother on our upcoming trip.
I reserved with Randy's Mobility after reading the great reviews on this board. I like that they will deliver and explain how to use it/ take it apart. My mother has been battling cancer for almost 5 years now and her endurance is just very low. I know we'll have a much better time touring knowing she is riding comfortably.
This is my parents 2nd trip to WDW. Their first was in 1972! Thanks again, you have helped to make this trip magical!

I hope you have a wonderful trip. My experience with Randy was great from start to finish. The guy who delivered mine and picked it up (same man) was the NICEST guy.
He even showed me the best place to store it in my room while I was there. Totally on time for pickup and dropoff.
I think the dropoff at bell services may be more convenient for experienced users, but for a newbie like me the service from Randy's was really appreciated. I don't know that I would have taken it apart if I hasn't been shown how.
I used Disney transportation when on property, but I loved having the freedom to really explore Florida Mall and the outlet centers with the ECV.

For information about various rental companies for WDW, may I suggest specifically this post http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=5873006&postcount=2 in the DisABILITIES FAQs thread.
Enjoy the Magic!

::yes::
the companies that are listed in the disABILITIES FAQs thread are the ones that DIS posters have reported good experiences with over the years.

I noticed your signature shows that you will be staying off-property. That in itself is not a problem. If you are staying at a resort or hotel the drop-off/pickup will be at the Bell Services or Front Desk; if at a rental house it can be either at the rental office or you would have to make time arrangements at your exact location.
What you have to consider is the space that two ECVs will take up in a vehicle; in other words how much actual room would be behind the rear seat. When we bought a smaller ECV for my late wife (a Pride GoGo) we made sur that we could fit both in the car; we ended up with the batteries from my ECV on the floor in the back and both seats sitting on the rear seat so everything else could fit in the trunk.
