Thanks FW guy! As many times as we have been there we never have did this. Seems like everytime time you go there is something different to experience. One of the things, i think, draws us to this place over and over.

David-
The path is located across the street from the stables up by Settlement Depot. You can take bikes, but no golf carts. About half-way along the path there is a cut off that takes you to the beach. I don't recommend that for biking - as it is mostly sugar sand.
If you have length of stay drink mugs, take them with you because you can use them at WL Roaring Forks Snack Bar. BTW - they came out with new drink mugs that are blue and have "2007" on them. I've seen the same L.O.S.:drinking1 mugs at all the resorts. It seems like they have quit the resort themed mugs. (YAY! One mug good all places!)

I remember when you used to be able to take the golf carts back in there, man, those were fun times!
We used to ride the cart all the way till the end, and there were these two posts sticking up out of the ground so that you couldn't go any farther. This was before the Wilderness Lodge, so at the time you could just see the Contemporary and the Magic Kingdom in the distance, but it was always such a nice ride.
The carriage rides also sometimes go on this trail, it just depends on which way the driver decides to go.

Yep---me too! The first time I found that trail was in 1987 & biked to the main road that leads to the Contemp Resort! Wild Lodge wasn't built back then! (Of course, you could still go to River Country in those days...aaahhh!)
Oh yeah, Colson39... the other thing about being a Florididan besides hurricanes is... endless days of temps above 95, with humidity so thick you find yourself sweating at 6:00am!!
