exchanging CS credits for snacks?

Hi, we are due to hit the world in 33 days :cool1: and this will be our 1st time using the DDP.

Last year (August/sep) we overheard a CM offering to exchange CS/TS credits for snacks. eg, swapping 1 CS credit for 2 snacks...

does anyone know if this is normal? if so, what can you exchange?

Any tips on using the DDP would be greatly appreciated. we have ADR's for TS meals but i'm sure some of you have some recommendations for CS meals? :thumbsup2

They offered this during free dining last year.

The reservation window for the public free dining offer hasn't arrived yet (it's August 26). If they offer it again it will be the 26th- September 22 probably.

Last year the free dining packages were oversold and they had to put in some alternatives for people to use their credits. This year they offered a more limited number of packages. So we'll have to wait and see if they offer it again.

I'm pretty sure that they will trade a CS meal for a snack, but I'm not sure how many snacks come with the trade. It may only be one.

I'm interested to see if someone else has tried this recently and what the outcome was.

Last year at ASMovies I got 3 snacks to a CS credit...

It is not an exchange -- there is no provision for exchanges of Dining Plan credits. Rather, some CS eateries are also venues that provide snacks, and those specific eateries may or may not offer an option to take three snacks in return for their CS credit. This is up to each CS eatery, and it can change without notice.

They may have done this during free dining, but they wouldn't do this for my family a few months ago. It was our last day, and we wanted to use CS credits for snacks at a snack place, just one for one (can we use our 2remaining CS credits for 2 snacks?)
