Sorry if this has been posted already, but I just noticed this post on Ebay's announcement board from Feb 1:
We are very excited to tell you about an agreement we have reached with priceline.com, the Name Your Own Price travel service. Together with priceline.com, we'll be launching a new travel booking service within the next 90 days called eBay Travel.
In addition to having access to all of the great eBay listings and travel inventory from Priceline.com, people will be able to directly book reservations on eBay for airlines, hotels and rental cars. The new travel booking service will let eBay users book their reservations in an auction-style or Buy it Now format, depending on their preference.
We believe this new travel booking service will bring more people to eBay Travel, giving more options and opportunities to both buyers and sellers of travel services. Please watch the Announcement Board for more details on the new service.
