Portofino or Hardrock? Also Discounts on rooms?

First time staying at an Universal Hotel, can anyone tell me which hotel to stay at Portofino or Hardrock? We are going in April with our 3 sons ages twins- 8 and oldest 12.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know how to obtain a code like with the Disney hotels, we used a code last year and saved $130 a night at Port Orleans Riverside.

Call 1-800-563-9711 and ask if the Entertainment rate is available for the dates you're going. If it is, go to www.entertainment.com and buy the book. If you can get a Fan Club card from your employer, you can try for a Fan Club rate. Either hotel is great, but your children might prefer the Hard Rock. It's also closer to the parks.
