I'm booked for 8 nights with DDP. Arriving after midnight first night so those DDP credits will be used on day of departure. Does it make sense to do 3 character breakfasts, 3 character dinners, 1 character lunch and 1 ala carte dinner (Yachtsmen Steak, etc.) to use my TS credits?
Going with DS6 and DD4, and who am I kidding, the trip is all about them...that's why so many character meals.
I won't be changing any of the character meals, so it is what it is.
Just wondering if DDP is worth it with 3 breakfasts and a lunch in there.

I would do as many character dining experiences as you feel like eating! We are doing TONS of them! They are fun and the kids will love them! We are doing 4 breakfasts and 2 dinners that are all character and we are staying for 6 nights...we also have several other TS dinners, like Coral Reef and Whsipering Canyon Cafe...just have fun with it, don't stress out about it!

I agree that you should do as many as you like! I like to make my breakfast ADRs for as late as possible (around 10:30am) so it's more like a brunch and you're eating on an off-hour.
Otherwise, enjoy!:goodvibes

I know that the meals will be fun for us, but do you think price-wise getting DDP is worth it for doing so many character meals? If a character breakfast runs $18.99 for adults, will I eat $20 worth of food more that day to cover the daily cost of the DDP?

I personally try to limit character meals to 2-3 per 7-8 day trip so yours looks like a lot(I never wait on a line with my kids to see characters since I know they will be seeing them at a meal-so just keep the dining characters that your kids really like). You might really want to get in a Fantasmic Dining-I like Mama Melrose(and my kids do too), and several of the resort dinings are really great. The Character meals can be very loud and a dinner at a calmer/quieter place is much more relaxing. Also being served as apposed to doing all the work with the kids at a buffet is better too. I don't know how many times DH would get his meal, I would help the kids with theirs-they would sit down, and I would get my meal and as soon as I sat down they were ready for a new plate:eek: ...not relaxing for mom.
You have to run the numbers for the DDP
Good Luck

we did one trip of nearly all characters all the time... it was great and the kids had a ball!!!
i just did the math on your credits... 8 nights, 9 ts credits being used 'cause yachtsman is 2 credits... you might want to tweak that so you don't get caught short! :)
