I just purchased a preferred annual pass but won't be actually going down to get get them until October. Do I have to wait to get my APH # when I actually get them? I looked on the receipt and there is no number anywhere...

I am not sure what you're asking. You won't get any sort of AP number until you actually get your AP. You will not be able to access the AP section of the Universal website until you get the #.

But, since you posted this on the hotel board, are you asking if you need your AP to book a room? That answer is no. You'll just need to show your AP upon check-in, or just show your voucher that says you purchased an AP and just haven't picked it up yet.
