Campfire sing-a-long with Chip and Dale

I'm not sure where to post this, as it is not really an attraction, resort, or dining. It's kind of an other topic.

Has anyone done this?
What kind of crowd is it. . . large, small?
Is the space tight?
What goes on?

We are going to this in October and don't know what to expect.

We did this a few years ago - meant to do it this past trip in July, but didn't make it. Lots of fun - we got the schedule from the WL front desk, they play a different Disney movie each night. Outdoor stadium style seats (wooden benches, kind of like at a little league ballpark). Not sure how many seats, maybe 50?? Chip and Dale are there before the movie, and there's a firepit to roast marshmallows, s'mores - bring or buy the supplies there. The movie is free, kind of like being at the drive-in, only you're not in a car. Something fun and different to do.
Maybe someone who has been more recently can give you a better description!

This was one of my favorite activities! We took our kids, DS4 and DD1 (at the time) and had a blast. We arrived mid way through the sing-along. The bonfires were already going and you could purchase smore making kits at the Chuck Wagon (we had packed our own). There were bleechers to watch the movie or some even brought a blanket to sit on. There seemed to be lots of room for everyone. I never felt crowded. Crowds were minimal and were were there over Thanksgiving. Chip and Dale arrived for pictures. It was lots of fun. We were there in November so the sing along started a little earlier that time of year--I think around 7pm--later in the summer months. Have a great time!

about how much do the smores making kits cost?

I would rather bring my own...but I don't think it's the best idea to carry chocolate around in my backpack in August :o

Does anyone know what time(s) this is offered. We are going in September and think the kids would like it....just depends on the time and if we can fit it in!;)

Basically, it starts at 8:00pm in the summer months, then after daylight saving time, it moves up to 7:00pm.

The size of the crowd depends on a few things:

1 - How busy the campground is.

2 - What movie is being shown.

3 - Weather

4 - How early the MK in particular closes on the night you go to the movie.


We've seen it really, really crowded, or just a few people. There is no admission price, and nothing to lose if you show up and then decide to leave. There is a sing-a-long prior to the movie, and Chip and Dale make their appearance. (YaY!) The last I knew the "S'mores Kits" were around $6.00 & you get a small box of graham crackers, small bag of marshmallows & a hershey bar. I think it's enough for 4 S'mores. IMHO, you can never have too many S'mores!!!

There is also a snack bar where you can get popcorn, soda, and other snackies!! Benches and bleachers are available, but beware, they are on a bed of gravel, which kids love to play in - and get dirty - so jammies are out unless your kiddies are confined to a stroller (yeah, right!)!!

If you want a nice, quiet, un-rushed evening for you & kiddies to idle down, this is the place to be.
