Isn't amazing how your heart can fill up with more love than you thought possible?
Well said - I can still remember back many years ago now and thinking that with the addition of my (then) new wife, life was good and couldn't be more complete. Then came the part that she had mentioned several times during our courting - she wanted to have a baby. OK, i figured, I'll do my part :rolleyes1 . Then the day came when our daughter was born, and all of a sudden I had this strange feeling that somehow the final piece of the puzzle, which I had no idea was even missing, had arrived and NOW everything was complete.
Happy Mother's Day to you, Allison, and to Lease, Lynnie Lou, and to all the other great moms that frequent this thread.
And Code - Father's Day is coming right up!

Our situation was a little different because we were both anti-kids but then our nephew came along and changed both of our minds slowly and simultaneously. But now I know exactly what you mean about feeling complete without even really knowing what piece (pieces in our case ;)) was missing.
I am always amazed at how quickly parents can tell their multiples apart. Did you have little hints at first?
Yeah, we've been able to see subtle differences from the start, though admittedly they have gotten harder to find as they start to put on a little bit of weight.
They are sooooo beautiful! I can't remember, are two of them identical?
Andrew and Parker are identical. Still a chance Nicholas may be, we won't know until we get blood types, or DNA.
Now... for some BIG NEWS!!!
Lisa just got a call from the hospital, and ALL THREE of our boys are coming home tonight!!!

I've been loving reading your story over the last several months. 4/24 -- I was in Disney World! At 53, I did NOT bring back any souvenirs! Happy Mother's Day to you, Lisa. Whatever you do for her, Code, you'll have to do it times three. Fun!
Congratulations to all of you.

I have been a follower/poster since the beginning. I haven't checked in since the beginning of April. How exciting! It was like a suspense novel....I just had to keep reading to catch up!

Wow, I have missed so much this past month. It must be wonderful to have your beautiful boys home now. The next few years will be full of exciting firsts and lots of love and laughter. I am so happy for all of you.
What a wonderful first Mother's Day this must have been for you Lisa. I think you got the ultimate gift by having your babes home with you. Major vaklemp on that one!!! I think they are a bit young to make you breakfast in bed ( and I can imagine you are sick of being in bed by now!!), but you just think of the wonderful treats to come in the next few years. And make room on your fridge for all the great and creative crafts.
Cody, your photos are wonderful! Your sons are so photogenic, just handsome little guys. The first photo of Andrew with his eyes open immediately made me think of Lisa. He favors his mommy already!! Now, the photo of all three in your arms Cody is priceless. I can relate to that wonderful feeling you had when you held them. This will only intensify over the years. Just wait for those first smiles. Our little man, William, started smiling all the time about two weeks or so ago and this is the sunshine in my life!!!
Your family shot takes the cake. It is wonderful and you all look so happy and complete. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I must say that I think that all three look identical or as close as you can get. Just handsome little men.
The homemade gifts from Abby, Abbey's Dad and Linney Lou are beautiful!! Such talent and what wonderful keepsakes.
I am looking forward to seeing your boys photos as they grow. I hope that you feeling better Lisa and healing. Take your time so you don't have trouble later. I hope you both are getting some sleep. Take it when you can get it. Do you have some help at home for when Cody is at work?
Okay, this is enough for now. God bless, you are all in my prayers.

You are so sweet Abbey's Dad!! I do want to post some photos, I just don't know how!! And time is not a friend of mine these days. I have a six year old to, Emily and so I have my hands full these days. That is why I can not even get on here to check in on NAP!!! But, I will get my DH to show me how to post some photos soon and then I will probably not stop!!
The gifts you sent to Cody and Lisa are just beautiful. I know from reading your TR that Abbey is crafty and I believe your wife is to. That was so thoughtful of you three. I am sure that they will have those quilts and monkeys for a life time. Can you imagine the story the boys will tell their own children about where they came from? "My parents met these wonderful folks on the Internet and then at Disney World.............." What a tale that will be!!
Okay, I will get some photos up soon. Thanks for your interest Abbey's Dad. Dare I say it, Go Leafs, although I guess it should be Go Jays now!! I will have to bone up on my sports trivia for my little guy now!!
Have a good night, Suz

Thanks everyone who has been following along and stuck with us :)
Instead of doing baby updates on our trip report I've been doing them on our family blog. It's a work in progress and I'm just too busy/lazy to post on both sites. So if you want to see how the boys are doing and what we are up to the link is in my sig. Plus I hope to someday get back to our actual trip reports. At least before we take the boys to Disney for the first time.

Hey Code and Lease. Been off here for a couple of months with RL stuff but just wanted to say a very belated CONGRATULATIONS!!! Oh and the boys have the same birthday as me YAY it's the best day to be born ;-) xxx
Sorry I've been MIA since we brought our boys home.. obviously my spare time is limited and I've been procrastinating this post for a while. I can't believe they are 9 weeks old!
Life has been an amazing blur since we brought them home. Even though we're tired and stretched thin, we're extremely happy because our boys are simply incredible. I have to put my wife up on a pedestal here.. she is awesome! I feel stretched yet she is doing at least twice as much as I am during the day, plus pumping, plus all the night feeds, plus still recovering and still holding it together well. Don't know how she does it!
The boys have been doing extremely well and gaining weight quickly. At 8 weeks, Nick was 8 lbs 8 oz, Andrew was 8 lbs 15 oz, and Parker was 9 lbs 6 oz, so by now Parker should be pushing 10 lbs! The only real problem that Nick and Parker have had is some reflux, but it is controlled with meds.
We can both easily tell them apart now, but to me Nick still looks identical to Andrew and Parker.. the DNA test is tempting just so we will know but it's $160, ouch. They all have times where they look exactly like one of their brothers, just depends on what face they're pulling.
Trying to think of what else to say.. uhh, any questions?
Thanks everyone for waiting around for more photos.. this post will have a ton :)
I'll start photos where I left off 7 weeks ago.. the night they came home! We were at the hospital for several hours while they did the boys' car seat tests and told us all we needed to know. Parker and Nicholas didn't pass their car seat tests, so we had to bring them home in car beds that they rented to us.
Here they are ready to go home!!...

It was a very surreal drive home. I said quite a few times that the first drive in the minivan with all three boys in the back was going to be very heavy, and it definitely was. Here they are at home for the first time right after I unloaded them...

The next night, the feeding schedule was already starting to wear us down with both of us doing every feeding, so I decided to try bottle propping to feed all three myself, and it worked wonderfully. I was so proud of myself that I had to take a picture...

I can't believe how much they've grown already. If it doesn't seem like that much time could have passed on this end I can't imagine how fast things much feel they're going for you guys there! Thank you SO much for posting the new pictures, the boys are so handsome and that stroller is really something!

Holy Cow! The boys are growing up really fast - must be due to all the love from their mom and dad :). You guys were really blessed with those three, as were the boys in getting you two for their parents. The boys do indeed look very handsome and personable. This is going to be an interesting adventure (sorry, I tend to think in terms of adventures since seeing UP!).
The pics are great Code, and you certainly don't need to look for a pro, you do just great yourself. And it seems to me that when it comes to photographic vision, you just can't beat looking through the eyes of love.
So how are the boys doing now in separate cribs - after being so close for so long, just wondering, any separation anxiety on their part?
Glad that everyone is doing great - so what is the maximum age for still getting them into WDW for free?

Great shots---the one with the bottles is still one of my favorites, but I have to say that the most recent shot from your photo shoot where they fell asleep on eachother is adorable, my favorite picture yet.
It looks like you guys have your hands full but are taking it all in stride---I can only imagine how close I would be to a mental breakdown at this point. ;) Glad to see you both doing so well and I'll be looking forward to more pictures of the boys!! :thumbsup2

Code and Lease:
Oh my goodness!!! I am speechless!!!!
The boys are so awesome, adorable, and every word imagineable. From all the pictures and the details we are seeing in the photographs you guys are the best parents.
All of the photographs are wonderful and if I had to pick only one for my favorite, I like the black and white tone photo with all 3 boys in the basket. Again, Code, your photography skills shine once more.
Just as these 9 weeks have flown by for you, before you know it another 9 weeks will pass and so on......please take the time to enjoy each day with your boys, but also remember each other in some small way.
Anyhow, continue to be the fantastic parents that you are and do not worry about posting as I am sure we all understand what your top priority is these days.
BTW I must comment on well both of you look and Lisa you are a beatiful Mom.!
That is about it for now. Take care you two! :grouphug:

They are so adorable! I have twins and I remember when they shared a crib how they would somehow move at such a young age to be right next to eachother. Isn't it amazing!? Good luck with the sleepless nights! The time does go by fast though!

Wow Cody and Lisa, you guys sure do make beautiful babies!! Andrew, Nicholas and Parker are so handsome and they show such lovely personalities already. I agree with Abbey's Dad, must be the great parents they have!
I am with the gang that loves the photo of the boys falling asleep after the photo shoot. It is absolutely priceless! MasterCard move over, we have a new winner!!
Between the DIS boards and your family blog you guys are doing such a fantastic job keeping us all informed and for that I thank you. It is so nice to be a part of this journey with you.
Enjoy your blessings. And yes, I think you both look fantastic! Being parents sure does agree with you both.

OMG! Those photos bring back memories! :dance3: Simply beautiful.
I can totally relate to the "prop the bottle" incident. Google "Podee". It's a different type of bottle that makes it much easier to use. (too complicated to explain in text) They're not for everyone, but we found them to be invaluable.
Feel free to PM me if you'd like.
Congrats again!

Thanks to everyone who complimented me on how I look :thumbsup2 I see the pictures and all I think is "I don't feel as tired as I look"
Ok, these pictures are just awesome and also, you may want to think about investing in Miracle Blankets (http://www.miracleblanket.com/). They made our boys sleep so much better, and they are totaly escape proof--at least until around 4-5 months.
We bought one the first week we had the boys home and they were to big to use. We just found bigger swaddling blankets. When they outgrew those, Grandma made even bigger ones.
The pics are great Code, and you certainly don't need to look for a pro, you do just great yourself. And it seems to me that when it comes to photographic vision, you just can't beat looking through the eyes of love.

I think we are lucky we bought all the camera equipment before the boys were born. Cody gets some wonderful shots.
The boys took to their own cribs without any issues. As an added bonus no one wakes up with a brother's hand in their face.
Free admission until they are 3. We are planning a trip to Disneyland when they are around 2 1/2. We can drive there in one really long day or stay a night in Vegas to break it into a 2 day drive. It'll be a much more relax version of Disney then we are used to. More about seeing the sights and getting pictures with the characters.

I'm glad you like the blog, it's been fun to post on. I'm working on a multi-part post with the background story of Cody and I.
Still no package yet, but I'm anxiously waiting :)

We looked at Podee systems, but we are using Dr Browns bottles which won't work with the Podee. As the boys get bigger and more wiggly I'm sure we'll have to adapt the feeding system.

Hey Lease, that package should arrive soon. I mailed it June 18th and was told it would take about 8 days. I assume with the holiday we had on July 1st and the US holiday for the 4th that it may take a few extra days. I did put a tracker on it, but hopefully we won't need it. Fingers crossed.
How have you been feeling, besides tired? You do look wonderful in the photos. It must be the glow of motherhood! You do have such beautiful precious cargo there.
Take care and have a good rest tonight,
Suz

Lisa, you have been doing such a great job on your family blog. I love to check it for updates.
The gifts you received from DISer's are wonderful (not to toot my horn!!), but I can honestly say that I really enjoyed shopping for your boys. Yes, I am a proud Canadian and am happy to share that with Andrew, Nicholas and Parker.
Take care, Suz
