Congratulations!!! That is great!! I can just imagine your surprise at the ultasound, in fact I think I may have seen it first hand when I saw my sister's face when she was told she was having twins. I bet your faces were just as priceless. I remember it vividly and the twins are now 2.

One thing that my sister found to be a God send was called Podee Bottles. They are baby bottles where the nipples are on a straw like tube. It made feedings those first 6-8 months a whole lot easier. You should look into it. It would allow you to feed 3 hungry little mouths without having to prop bottles and without extra hands.

Rootskate of course we remember you and our meeting on the tram. You were the only DISers to do the "focker watch" to us :)

:welcome: Disney Spaz and peemagg!

Just a short update, still in the hospital and still pregnant. The boys are all doing well, heart rates are great and still very active.

I am being very closely monitored for pre-eclampsia and toxemia if the tests come back positive or blood pressure keeps climbing it looks like we'll deliver this week. A little earlier than I'd like, but we'll see how it goes.

Long time lurker who just wanted to come out and wish you well since you may be delivering this week! :flower3:

I've loved your TR and hearing about your 3 mousketeers on the way! And all boys! Bless your heart girl! :worship:

Enjoy every minute of it... I think with multiple times go by so much faster... especially when they're young. Be sure to stick around the boards too! I'd love to hear about their first Disney trip :ssst:

Best of luck to you two... er five!

I came accross your post and just wanted to send more well wishes! My triplets will be 5 on the 20th. I know everyone says it but it is so true, the time goes by too fast! I remember how excited and scary the end of the pregnancy is but meeting the wonderful bundles is the best!

We leave just under 2 months for my triplets 6th trip the Disney and we are all pumped about it. They are actually asking for disney money for their birthday so the girls can do bibbidi bobbidi boutique, and Jack can buy his own souvenier.

I can't wait to hear how beautiful and healthy they are!

First a quick baby update.. today is 32 weeks and 6 days, and there hasn't been any changes really. Her contractions have a pattern of getting more intense and frequent in the evening, so she has been getting a nightly morphine+phenergan shot to knock them down, and for now it's still working.

Next.. sorry once again that I've been absent, I'm sure you can understand I've had some more important priorities lately.

Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers! And also thanks to those that have asked how I'm doing. I'd love to respond individually but I'm just too far behind so one here is one big THANK YOU for everyone. And welcome to all our long time lurker, first time posters!

As far as how I'm doing.. just stretched a bit thin. Between visiting Lease daily, going to work, regular home duties, finding a car, getting our house refinanced, getting everything we still need, etc etc etc.. I'm just busy. But I am getting very very excited to meet our boys!

huey duey & luey, Blessed_wth_Triplets, and starrynyt -
I think it is awesome that other triplet parents have found our thread, really glad to have you along! We'll take any advice you're willing to give ;)

pl'smama - Wanted to give my late congratulations on your arrival!

I wanted to take a minute to brag about my awesome wife. I know she is more miserable than she lets on, but where another woman might be screaming for the babies to come out, she keeps telling them to stay in for as long as possible. Her doctor even told her that she probably wouldn't last past Friday, but she insists she can make it through the weekend. I'm very proud of her for staying strong and positive!

I know some of you were waiting anxiously for pictures of Lease, so here they are!

This one was taken March 30 when I took her cat to the hospital to visit...

And this one was April 2, she was enjoying some leftover birthday cake…

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z112/xavarri/misc/DSC03942_640.jpg

I'll get a new picture when I visit tonight and post it.

And here are a few shots from her most recent ultrasound…

Yesterday, I took care of the last big thing we needed to be truly ready to bring them home (at least in terms of possessions).. I bought a minivan  I've been looking for a while and one fitting all our needs finally came along at the right price, so I jumped on it. It's a 2006 Toyota Sienna, light blue (appropriate color). I installed the car seats and put the stroller in the back just to see how it all fits.. it was a very "real" moment for me to see 3 carseats in the back of our minivan. If it stops raining today, I'll take pictures tonight and post them.

Lastly.. I am pretty disappointed with myself that I haven't finished processing the remainder of our Disney trip photos yet as I know there won't be much time for it after they are born, but I'll keep plugging away. I'm going to start posting what I have done so far very soon...

What a fun thread; like everybody else, I'm enthralled!

A friend of my daughter's had three little (under six) girls and they decided to try one more time for a boy. They, too got three at a time. The boys are in their teens now. When they got a little to big for a stroller, she used to bring them to church in a red wagon. Their church galvanized and build an addition to their house, since they suddenly had six children (under the age of seven)!

Congratulations, and best wishes!

...

Code - you and Lease are doing a great job of taking care of the things that matter, and as a bonus you guys have kept us updated. That's certainly the most that we can hope for, and speaking for this household, we're really glad to keep getting those updates that you, Lease, and the boys are all doing fine. Of course words are one thing, and it is nice to see the pictures of Lease and see for ourselves that she is doing well. How did you get her cat into the hospital? That's a great pic!

Glad you found a family-mobile - it amazed us when Abby was born just how much stuff a baby can require. I really don't think that I can totally comprehend what triplets require.

Hang in there you two, er .... five! It is so good that the boys are at 32+ weeks.

I'll agree with all the previous posters. Code, as much as we all enjoy reading your TR and looking at your pictures, we all understand that you are very busy right now. You are doing a great job, I don't have children, but I have 9 siblings, all from the same parents. No multiples either, but at one point my mom had 8 children 10 and under. I did help my babysit triplets, but I really cannot imagine what you must be mentally going through right now! You sound like you've got the right priorities! Good luck and God bless. Again: :grouphug:

That's great she's keeping a positive attitude in this exciting time. My friend said the same thing to her twins when she was pregnant with them about staying in for as long as possible and she ended up going 38 weeks which what I hear is rare when carrying mutiples (and this is when her Dr was telling her she wouldn't go past 33 weeks). Good luck to making it through the weekend. Keep having small goals and I'm sure you'll make it through this exciting time.

Congrats on the van purchase!!! We had the same problem when I was pregnant with our second child because both of our cars were to small to deal with two carseats so we ended up with a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan for an awesome price. Looking forward to hearing more updates and enjoy these peaceful moments while you can because you are in for the time of your life!!

I just found your trip/trip report and wanted to stop by and say Hi and Congrats. I am a nurse in L&D and work in our high risk OB unit. 33weeks is AWESOME and you have an amazing wife. Every moment you keep babies in are many moments you keep babies out of the NICU. This takes so much strength physically and emotionally and is an incredibly selfless act. Just wanted to commend your wife and you. It takes not only a strong mom but a dad who is supportive and can handle things at home taking that stressor off of mom. WAY TO GO YOU TWO. I do not even know you and I am so proud of you both. Good luck and I cannot wait to follow along and hear of the belssed delivery of your sons. It is so rare for this to happen and then rare to make it as far as you have. That is some real pixie dust, maybe you guys should play the lottery. Again congratulations.

Thank you so much for the update Code. It's great to know you are all doing so well. Lovely to see the photos of Lease. I remember about a couple of years ago you said how brilliantly she'd done losing a lot of weight - tell her it'll come off really quickly this time - just a few minutes and she'll lose over a stone!!! :rotfl: She looks really good in those photos - love the purple pants!
The scans of the boys are so exciting - you can really see their faces - wow!!!

Thanks as always everyone for well wishes :goodvibes

Today is 33 weeks!!! and by now I'm guessing our boys are all at or over 5 lbs each!

It's also our fifth wedding anniversary :) We're obviously postponing any celebration, but I just want to let my wife know how much I love her!

Fred - the nurse said it was OK, I just brought her cat in a carrier. And I'm not sure I can comprehend just exactly the amount of stuff we are going to have either  or where it will all go!

As promised, a picture of Lease from last night, April 9..

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc215/xavarri2/misc/DSC04077_480.jpg

Here are some pictures of the minivan we bought.. a 2006 Toyota Sienna 8-passenger model. The main reason we picked it is because it fits 3 car seats in the second row very well (3 LATCH seats) and later on we can take one of the seats out for easy access to the back.

The color is very appropriate...

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc215/xavarri2/misc/DSC04059_640.jpg

I installed the car seats and put the stroller frame in the back, as I said it was a very weighty moment for me to see all 3 seats installed and ready to go.

Happy Anniversary! Thanks for posting more pics today. I can see getting emotional after the car seats were in. I was too!

I too was wondering how you were able to get the cat in the hospital. I didnt know they allowed pet visits - the things you learn on the DIS!

Well, I'm glad you made it through today. I'll check back in on Sunday/Monday.

Today makes it 34 weeks, my original goal to carry the boys to. The scheduled eviction (delivery) will be next Friday. At 35 weeks, the boys will have less time in the NICU and will hopefully be able to breath on their own from the get go. Also we (Cody, Dr and I) are in agreement that the boys will be skipping the preemie size.

I'm really excited to meet the boys, so is Cody. Cody has been amazing while I've been in the hospital. Working, taking care of everything at home plus coming to see me almost everyday. On top of everything he also took care of buying the mini-van, finishing set up of the nursery, getting clothing and blankets washed for when the boys come home...basically he's done it all.

Now that the house is ready (or close enough) for the homecoming all that's left to do is anxiously await their arrival.

If she makes it 7 more days, we can probably expect them all to be at or over 6.5 lbs.. crazy!

I can't wait to meet our boys!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

As the mother of 2 vacation babies, my best advice is to sleep NOW! It won't happen a lot over the next few months. Enjoy every minute of it, though, because they grow up fast!

Okay, so I am VERY late but I just found your report and got caught up.

First, I want to say how much I loved your report. And your photos, wow... amazing. I am a 'photo taking fool', so I am in awe of your pics.

Lastly, but not least, congrats on your 'soon to bes'. How amazing that is. And Lease, what you have been through. Wow, you are a truly strong person. Code, that was so sweet of you to bring 'kitty' to visit. :thumbsup2 I wonder if kitty has a clue of what's to come. ;)

Anyhow, my prayers stay with you and I cannot wait to hear more. Reading all your posts makes me want another. :goodvibes

Be well!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats and can't wait to hear any news, which I'm sure at this point will be a post detailing their birth weights, etc. and welcoming them to the world (and eventually, "The World" ;)).

Thanks Fred & Abby, Glenda, Hedy, Leanne1972, torsie24, scottish mum, MICKEY4EVER!, huey duey & luey, Lessa, Pamlur, accountingbabe08, TKDisneylover, Circusgirl, bsusanmb, cajunfan, moparop, PurpleTurtle, karriemouse, Kellyh123, NWOhioAngela, ladylyons, diberry, Happy Elf, JustMickey, MeMom, aheape1979, hill6, ljcrochet, mebrm, MelanieC, smphbear, burly, WDWKrazedKitty, Ann, Elfstar, and newtodis !!!!!

Thanks especially to all those that have been with us since the start that are still posting, and to all our newcomers and lurkers that have joined us!

MICKEY4EVER! & TKDisneylover - I'm glad the antenna topper got noticed. Lease and I both have Sorcerer Mickey on our cars, it's definitely the best one!

Next.. I was messing around on our kitchen whiteboard with our magnetic Disney characters this morning while waiting for my toast, and I took this pic to send to Lease.. thought I'd post it here for fun too. Countdown calendars are very common here, but this one is a bit unique ;)

And here is a new pic of Lease from last night..

Lastly, the boys had a growth measurement ultrasound, and they are all over 5 1/4 lbs! Looks like my estimate over 6 was a bit high, but her doctor said today it looks like they are likely to skip the NICU!!!

The boys have been really well cared for - I don't think you could ask for any better weight and gestational age. You both are to be congratulated, and maybe Lisa should be up for sainthood - you both seem to have done everything that was asked of you and more, and seem to have done your planning. Who says that learning to plan a Disney trip isn't great training? :rotfl:

First off, congratulations on your babies! Way to go making it to 34+ weeks. The boys sure do seem likely to be healthy.

I havent read all of your TR, mostly because I just caught sight of it over the weekend. My mission is to go backwards and get all the details. I remember you from Abbybeth's TR (hey Abby, Fred & Lynn). I have been absent from the disboards for a while, but I am back in business now :)

Best of luck with the boys! I will be thinking of you all on Friday :)

I have been a silent lurker on your trip reports for some time. I just want to say first and foremost Lease you look great. Hang in there and it will be all worth it in the end. Code you have a great talent in picture taking. Your kids will be lucky to have you as a dad. Just imagine  at their soccer games in the future you will be the dad behind the big camera and your kids describe who their father is and they say "the one with the camera". lol. Then all the stinky little players will run and make funny faces and you will get even better pictures than ever before. Kids are such great subjects to take pictures of. Some of my best pics are my kids goofing off and being silly. DD10 and DS6.
Anyways yall both hang in there and get plenty of rest cuz you will definitely need it. Take advantage of the nursery at the hospital. That said keep us posted on the progress. Take care.

Sorry I'm late posting, but it has been non-stop since they were born.

Andrew 5 lbs 4 oz
Parker 5 lbs 9 oz
Nicholas 4 lbs 13 oz

The surgery went well... it was VERY fast once things got started. All three were born within two minutes. Now mom is recovering, dad is riding on cloud nine, and our babies are amazing and beautiful!

They skipped the NICU!!! Nicholas is in the intermediate nursery, and Andrew and Parker were actually in mom's room for a few hours, but their blood glucose levels weren't what they should be so they are joining Nick for the night. But they will most likely all be coming home when Lease does!

How about some pictures?

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm new to your journey but skipped ahead to see your beautiful babies, can't wait to go back and read more!

It's AMAZING they have such wonderful weights, your wife made it so long AND they all managed to skip the NICU! What a great job, mom and dad! You're so blessed.

YEAH Code and Lease!!! Congrats on your adorable little boys. That is so awesome that they are skipping the NICU and going home when Mom does. Your in for some exciting times. Enjoy these last moments of peace because they will be few and far between once you all go home. Don't forget about each other once the little ones are home. One thing that has kept me and DH sane is a night out to dinner just the two of us evey now and then. That hour and a half to two hours can do wonders. Enjoy and again big congrats!!! Lease you look great for just having three beautiful baby boys!!!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! :dance3:

Congratulations to you both (in fact, to all five of you now!) from over here on the other side of the Atlantic!

Those weights are fabulous, many single babies weigh in at less than that. Well done Lease, it can't have been easy carrying those three chunky little chaps around for these past few weeks! But the wait paid off, they look so beautiful and healthy. :thumbsup2

Glad it's all turned out so well, and now the fun part begins... LOL! :laundy:

Really, both Lease and Code look fantastic, and the boys are so beautiful that they made me a little teary. I am just so, so happy for the five of you!

And Code - certainly no need to apologize for being late - you weren't late at all, and you provided all these great pictures. The most I was hoping for on the first day was just a "babies are here and we are all fine" - you went way beyond that (and I am really glad that you did), but you've got a lot more going on than entertaining your fan club - but we'll still be hanging on every word and picture :)

BTW - package for the boys is scheduled to arrive on your doorstep on Monday - enjoy!

What do the grandparents think of these boys - I bet they are quite proud, and rightly so. You guys just ROCK!

Congratulations!! I am so glad to hear that everything went well. They are beautiful! I hope they get to come home on a feeding schedule that was the best thing for us because it kept the chaos at a minimum. If they do don't let others get them off their schedule (like extended family) because they might be there to help during the day but at night it is just you two at night.

What a beautiful family!

I feel like I'm cheating, skipping to "the end".

Obviously, the word "TRIPLETS" caught my eye.

Your family sounds a lot like mine. I made it to 35 weeks, 5 days with my kiddos. Their weights were very similar to your boys and they all came home from the hospital with me, 4 days after delivery. (as you can see from my siggie, my kids are now 12 years old!)

It is wonderful that your boys will be coming home so soon. My words of unsolicited advice -

*take any help you can get
*sleep when you can

Please feel free to PM me if you would like. I would be happy to share any other advice you may want.

Congratulations again. :dance3:

They are just beautiful!! Lisa and Cody, you make gorgeous babies!!! Your sons are wonderful, you two have done an amazing job!

I am with Abby's Dad on this one, a bit vaklemp is what I am. You two are in for the best time of your lives. These next few months will be crazy, but when you look into their eyes, see their little smiles and just get to cuddle them to you, the craziness goes away for awhile.

Thrilled beyond words is what I am for you. I am so happy they are healthy and will get to come home with you. That is a true miracle. Enjoy this time and take the chance to rest whenever you can.

Thanks for thinking of all of us and posting those amazing photos Cody. They are fantastic and what a great size and weight your boys are.

Blessings to Nicholas, Andrew and Parker and their mommy and daddy!

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! It is so wonderful to hear the boys and Lisa are doing great. Take full advantage of the nursery at night cause you will definitely need your rest.

FYIAs a mom to a boy I found that Target brand diapers are the best for little boys. I tried every brand and found out that with other brands their bellies got all wet from wetting out of the diaper. For some reason the Target brand did not do that.

Again Congrats. Lots of thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Take care.

Just got back from the world and am catching up. Congratulations -- the boys look great. Now the adventure begins! Whenever someone says to you, "Is there anything I can do to help?" say "YES!" And then let them help. My dd had twins last year (and already had a 1yo and 2yo) and she needed plenty of help (still does -- I go over twice a week to help out and also bring much of the children's laundry back to my house). These little ones are blessings in your life. Enjoy them!

We are definitely overdue for an update!

First, I want to profusely thank Abbybeth, Abby's Dad, and Lynnielou for the awesome gifts they sent to the boys. Abby made three quilts that absolutely blow us away, they are amazingly well made and really adorable.. I'm sure the boys are going to love them! They were accompanied by three sock monkeys and a great handmade card. Everything has a monkey theme, which is appropriate as I'm sure they will be our three little monkeys.

http://code.smugmug.com/photos/531354361_uQytg-L.jpg

Fred, Lynn & Abby.. THANK YOU! We truly cherish your friendship and hope that someday you can meet the boys in person.

Second, I want to thank everyone for your congratulations. I don't have time to respond individually, but we have both read them all and they mean a great deal to us!

Now for babies updates!

When I posted the night of delivery, I said they would probably be coming home with mom, but that was jumping the gun. I brought Lease home five days after, but the boys have needed extra time in the nursery. It is a mixed blessing, though, as Lease was not in any shape to be up and around right when she got home. She has been recovering well, though, and has pretty good mobility now as long as she isn't on her feet too much at a time.

As I posted before, Andrew and Parker started in Lease's hospital room but ended up in the nursery with Nick the night they were born. Andrew and Nick were in isolettes for several days to help them regulate their temperature, and all three had sugar IVs, but by the time Lease came home, all three were in open air cribs and their IVs were out.

Since then, they have just been gaining strength and learning to feed & breathe at the same time. At first, all three would run out of energy and fall asleep very shortly into their bottles and have to be given the rest by feeding tube, but each day brought progress, and in the last two days they have all three been taking all/most of their bottles. Nick, who has been a bit behind his brothers, has made great strides in catching up in the past two days, which makes us very happy. The nurses talk about "turning the corner" before they can come home, and it really feels like they are starting to.

Picture time!

you both look very proud holding your 3 boys at one time! They won;t fit on your lap like that for much longer...enjoy it! I'm glad Lease is getting the extra time to help her heal before getting more and more involved with the boys everyday care! We too were in the hospital 2 days extra when Caleb was born due to Jaundice and he was in the incubator for those 2 days we felt that we got to catch up on our sleep and were ready to take care of him once we got home!

Congratulations of the healthy birth of your sons! As I read your report I laughed when I saw their birth date...we have friends who had triplets exactly 10 years ago to the day! April 29th must be magical!! (oops got the date wrong, sorry)

I have tears in my eyes each time I see those precious babies. And you and your wife look amazing!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO BOTH OF YOU!!!

Oh, what wonderful pictures, especially the family ones. It's so good to hear they are coming along so well. It is probably a little blessing that Lease has had some time to recover and start feeling stronger before bringing them all home.

the boys are beautiful!!

Happy Mother's Day Lease :flower3:

Thanks for the great update Code, but it is tough - each of the boys already has more hair than I do :rotfl2:. Love all the pics, but really glad to have one of the whole family - you all look great, It is amazing how natural both Code and Lease look holding all three boys.

So, have you started looking at colleges yet? You know we have some good ones here :rotfl:.

Oh, and we have every intention of meeting those boys in person - not to mention that we would be most happy to see their parents again :) . We too value your friendship. :grouphug:

Remember back during this trip when I slipped in some barrel full of monkeys references? Yes, that was a foretelling of what was in the works, and this was a lot of fun, and fortunately I have a wife and a daughter with talent.

Now that you all have had a little chance to rest up and recuperate a little, I know that you will be really looking forward to having the boys home, and I'm sure that the rest of us share that sentiment.

Keep up the good work!

The boys are just adorable! I love the cute little toes picture. I am always amazed at how quickly parents can tell their multiples apart. Did you have little hints at first?

Code: Thanks for taking the time to post pictures and update us - it's wonderful of you! :flower3:

Code & Lease: Honestly, you all look so wonderful! Your boys are absolutely adorable - so handsome! I'm sure you both must be just exhausted in every way, but your pictures don't show it!

Congratulations to you both, again! :woohoo:

I was thinking the same thing. As hard as it would have been to leave them, she needed time to recuperate and let people 'baby' her some.

That was so sweet of you guys, and the finished products are so cute!
I'm so glad they shared your gifts with us!

Looks like everything is going great with the little guys. They will fill your house with love, laughter, and chaos in the years ahead.

Along with stinky socks, a variety of soccer balls, baseballs, footballs, and basketballs, and half-eaten sandwiches under their beds.

Life will be great!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

How beautiful your little boys are. Isn't amazing how your heart can fill up with more love than you thought possible?

As someone who had both kids in in the NICU (DD 5 days and DS 32 days), I can sympathize with the feelings you're going through right now. Take advantage of the rest time you'll be able to get right now. I'm sure it's really helped Lease.

From what you've said, it sounds like they'll be home any day now! How exciting!!
