Wow, those were beautiful last day pics... That's the closest I think I have ever felt to being inside WDW :goodvibes

Being a native Californian and a DL vet I am very interested in the other park but doubtful I'll ever get to go :sad1:

Thanks for bringing the magic to my computer screen!

Love the final day pics! They're getting me soooo excited. DD and I are on our way to the world in 15 days. Can't wait! Until then I'm going to have to live vicariously through your trip reports.

I just ran across your trip report last night...great pics!!! I'm excited to see what kind of pics the Sony produce...the color saturation of your former pics is awesome.

Do you use a polarizer or post photo processing to enhance the colors (especially the blue of the sky)? Or did the Olympus produce them in camera?

Can't wait to see more! I hope the rain holds off for you.

I'm staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. On Sunday, I'm going to AK early to hit the rides. If you can, come on by so I can have someone to cry to b4 I get on EE and Dino . . . :guilty:

We're in AK that morning too! We'd love to drag you onto those rides
*evil grin* No excuses when you have others with you!

I've been waiting patiently, and I suspected that maybe you had made a big change - INDEED! I strongly considered Sony, partly because my film camera had been a Minolta Maxxum, and I could have moved some very nice lenses over. Unfortunately, they were also very heavy lenses, and I decided to start from scratch, whichever system I chose. Looking forward to the pics and a full report. We already know that you have the photographer thing down - let's see if the equipment lives up to you! (and while you are probably right about the macro lens, I am envious, as that one is probably going to be my next addition).

Uh oh, now I have expectations to live up to :scared: I tried out HM and PotC this morning, I felt like a newbie again. I'm sure I'll improve with practice over the next few days though.

I didn't manage much sleep, but adrenaline and caffeine kept me going until now.

Thanks and welcome :)

We just woke up from our late afternoon nap, badly needed after so little sleep last night. We arrived in Orlando, got our Keys to the World, and headed straight for MK. It was completely overcast when we landed due to Tropical Storm Hanna with patchy rain, and when we got to MK, the first section of parking lot wasn't even half full yet. The crowds are amazingly low today :) We got into the park around noon, grabbed some food, and then started the walk-on fest. We rode Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, and TTA without waiting one bit for anything. It started raining after our first ride, and rained on and off the whole time we were at MK. Around 3pm our room was ready so we headed out, and the Pluto lot wasn't even full yet. Now that we're done with our nap, it's Epcot time. Not sure how long either of us are going to last tonight.

Also I see blue sky outside!

Will post a few photos this evening when we get back to the room.

My friend at work is going to WDW on Monday for a week. She doesn't even PLAN!!!! It's so HARSH!!!! She's like, "oh, I don't know we'll just do this or that..." with a sing-song voice.... OMG it makes me so crazy! :headache: :rotfl2:

P.S. I'm going to start back at the begining again (well, the middle cause I've read the begining..) ... your TR rocks

It's not as bad when you are coming during a low crowd time, but still.. no planning at all? Yikes. Lease has a coworker coming in October doing the same thing, we're trying to convince her she is nuts.

The current projected path for Ike puts it into the Gulf and missing Florida... Seems like every time the projection is updated it moves just a bit farther south.. YAY for us, uh oh for the Gulf Coast :scared:

Epcot was a completely different situation in terms of crowds tonight than MK was this morning. Night of Joy was going on at the Studios and the first MNSSHP was at MK tonight, so at 7pm, about the time we were arriving at Epcot, so were many other people from those 2 parks, and it ended up being quite crowded. We decided that we were just going to ride Spaceship Earth once and then go wander around World Showcase and line up early for a really good spot for Illuminations. We ended up in front of Italy on the railing, and it was a PERFECT spot :) Though we had the most rude person I have ever dealt with show up 5 minutes before the show and try to put her kid in front of Lease, and then she tried to muscle her way in too, and I literally had to physically remove her. I don't mind being a total jerk to people like that, but still.. wow. Anyway, still a great night, and beautiful and clear to boot! Not a single drop of rain! Felt like a completely different day.

When we got back to Pop, Lease wanted to stop by the DIS glow party that was organized for tonight. It was a lot of fun and we met some cool DISers, and I even met another Sony DSLR shooter there!

Here are some photos from today.. I'm not putting much work into them, basically just exporting them from Lightroom with minor tweaks (I shoot 100% in RAW), running noise reduction, uploading and posting.

Your pics are so amazing.. sometimes i just nudge over to my DH (playing Age of Conan AGAIN :badpc: ) and show him one of your oh-so-breathtaking-better-than-a-professional Disney shot and we just have a "whoa" moment. Those are GREAT!

You guys look like a lot of fun! I really caught up with this TR at the right time LOL Now I'm getting my "live" fix!

Did you get my message about how I found your hidden mickey??? I noticed nobody else posted about it... though I'm sure I wasn't alone :disrocks:

We were at DL this summer and another Dis'er sighted us but didn't know it until he came home and read my TR.. :lmao: So cool, though!

Looking forward to more...

oh my god - those illuminations pictures are amazing (as are all your pictures)..

good you physically removed that woman so she didn't get in the way of your pictures...
don't you just HATE people like that? and it happens to us EVERY time we get a good spot....at the last moment some obnoxious family comes up and tries to push in front of us...
that's why i don't even bother with illuminations anymore...i can't deal with those people....

too bad i didn't know about the dis party....i would have given a heads up to DD about it....oh well.....(she used to hang out on the dis a few years ago)...

This is pretty fun - and it's good to see both of you again, if only through the pictures. You both are looking good! I know that you will adapt to the Sony really well, and it helps that you don't have the old age handicap that some of us have :rolleyes1 . The pics so far look really good, and comparing between the ones with the Olympus, looks like you made a good choice. But in the end, it's the photographer that makes the difference, and you will do well, as you have in the past. The pic that stands out for me (OK, there were several :) ) was the one from Japan by the lake (don't know what that thingy is called - haven't made it to Japan at Epcot yet). The composition is a little different than others that I have seen and I like it very much. Like the lighting also. Looking forward to more. Have a Mickey ice cream bar for me, will ya?

Cody and Lease....
Just starting reading trip reports and Loved reading yours and the pictures were awesome.
My DH loves to take pictures on vacation and loves all the camera equipment but I must say Cody you are blessed to have such an understanding wife, I am not as tolerant when it comes to the cost of his addiction so he has a limited collection. (I usually share these TR's with him but this is one that I am only letting him look at the pictures and not let hm read about the camera equipment):rolleyes1
Can't wait to read more.

Yeah, Sept 5 for the first MNSSHP is a little strange. Even more strange to me is that the castle ice lights are already on. It messes up close pictures of the castle, and they won't be used for 2 more months :confused3

Today was a much better day for the weather.. low 90s and mostly sunny all day long. We started in MK... we tried to make it for the rope drop show, but when we got on the express monorail at the TTC with 15 minutes to spare, we sat at the station for just about that amount of time, not sure why. We were passing the entrance in the monorail when the show ended :headache: Oh well.

It was another day of almost no crowds at all, the longest wait was for Splash Mountain at about 3-4 minutes :cool1: We did pretty much all the major attractions by about 2pm, then headed back to our room for a nap before dinner in Epcot at Garden Grill. We got to Epcot a bit early for dinner, so we hung out in The Seas for a while. Dinner at Garden Grill gets a mixed review. The food selection was limited (by design) and quality was hit and miss, but the character interaction was fun, some of the food was delicious, and we liked the setting overlooking some of the scenes from Living with the Land.

After dinner we only had time to ride Soarin (still rocks!) before everything was closing, so we went to Downtown Disney and hung out at Disney Quest for about an hour and a half.

Another great day! Tomorrow is AK in the morning, Jiko for dinner (really looking forward to this) and MK has EMH evening, but we're reconsidering our plans since we've accomplished so much in MK so far and haven't been to the Studios yet.

I love them! Hope you are having fun. We leave on Friday for WDW and all my older daughter keeps saying is, I know we're not going to get there....I know there will be a hurricane....I should have bought trip insurance...She is driving me NUTS.
Just seeing your photos makes me want to be there NOW. I have been to WDW a hundred times, but I love to take pics...DH complains..."Don't you have enough pictures?" Hey with digital photos you can never have enough, right? Enjoy the rest of your trip:woohoo:

and again, your pictures are beyond stunning....they look fake they're so good (and i mean that in a good way)...

geez...

They were putting them up two weeks ago when we were there, they had the crane fully up and WORKING on the top turrets of castle for most of the week. I assumed they were doing essential work after Storm Fay had brushed through, but a CM said she thought it was the Xmas lights being put up. I commented on how bad Show that was, and she kinda agreed.

Since you are at POP again I was wondering if you could give me any tips on requesting a specific area of the resort to stay in? You have both stayed at POP for all of your visits, which area do you prefer?

Thanks for your help, and I can't wait to hear tonights live report!

I hope the low crowds continue for you and those nasty storms stay far away. I love all your photos from Epcot at night. IllumiNations looks wonderful and those Monorail shots are fantastic!

Enjoy,Suz

:worship: Another fan of your pictures and Trip Report Code and Lease! :thumbsup2 Popping in to ask (before I forget) why you swapped over to the Sony alpha, since you seemed pretty hepped up about the Olympus you were shooting? Plus your Olympus photos were great, as well.

Inquiring minds want to know... I shoot with a Sony H2 (pre-SLR) and am close to taking the next step up. popcorn::

Thanks once again to all who have left compliments, and thanks for reading along and commenting!

I guess I got over-excited but I saw a hidden Mickey in your picture post about that aligator thingy that had all of your glow paraphenalia lying all over it.

I think I'm over Dis-ed. :surfweb:

You know, I think you are right that we stacked them that way intentionally.

I am sure this is somewhere in this thread, but what kind of camera/lens are you using? You are also very talented with composition of the photos.

I'm using a Sony A700 and 6 lenses (new for this trip, previously I had an Olympus E-510). Check back on page 33 to see the list.

Looks so far like you should be free and clear of hurricanes! We had Hanna and Ike to worry about, and I did end up buying trip insurance just a few days before we left, but it all worked out!

As far as pics, I'm very fortunate to have an understanding wife. She even helps me just about every time I switch lenses (which is pretty often).

Read all the trip report to date and the pictures and storyline are FANTASTIC!!! If you can't go to WDW it is the next best thing to being there. Keep up the good work and look forward to being on this trip with you two as it unfolds.

Thanks for joining up :)

Since you are at POP again I was wondering if you could give me any tips on requesting a specific area of the resort to stay in? You have both stayed at POP for all of your visits, which area do you prefer?

Last time we were FARRRR from the parking lots and we rent a car every time and it was pretty inconvenient, so this time we requested ground level facing the parking lot and got just that, and it is MUCH better.

Good weather, good day, and another great batch of pictures. What was the food porn shot with the strawberries? Ummmm.

Garden Grill dessert. It was a creme filled turnover covered in strawberries.

Awesome pictures! I can't wait to hear what you both think of Jiko. We are going for the first time next month and are really looking forward to trying it. Looks like you have beautiful weather, too! :thumbsup2

Jiko was out of this world. Better even than California Grill was for us last September. We had the best server we've ever had at any restaurant.

Hope you and Lease are having a wonderful time! We came home from WDW on the 4th and were in awe of the low wait times on the rides.. Im thinking of trying to go back around this time next year and see how it is then..

Yup, the low crowds are awesome!

Wonderful pictures! When you get home, could you post the exif on your Illuminations photos? Absolutely breathtaking!

EXIF should be on every photo, if you don't have EXIF software, then sure I'd be happy to post them when we get home.

We've had two more days of clear and somewhat hot weather. Yesterday we started in AK, we actually made the rope drop! We laugh that in 3 trips, it was the first rope drop that we've actually made it to. It ended up being a pretty hot day, the forecasted high was 93 and of course AK tacks on 5 degrees and cranks the humidity to max, so it felt AFRICA HOT.

We did the safari straight away, and I was excited for photos, but we sat in the back row of the vehicle and I have to say, it is a very very rough ride back there. Photos are challenging enough on the safari, but when your butt is leaving the seat with every hard bump, well.. it was nearly impossible to get many of the shots I wanted.

We did the bird show also, and I got selected once again to go on stage to get buzzed by an owl, and this time I got the shot! Woohoo!!!

Two rides on EE, one on Dinosaur, lunch at Flame Tree BBQ, and walking through both of the exploration trails and we were done by 2pm and very tired, so we headed back for a nap. Right before our last EE ride, we ran into a DISer, Glendamax, that we knew was going to be in the park. We were glad to spot her!

After the nap, it was time for Jiko, and it was SPECTACULAR. Best Disney meal we've had to date by far, with both the food and the service being absolutely top notch. Also, of all the crazy chances, we were seated next to another DISer that also contributes to the Picture of the Day thread, Circusgirl, and we had great conversation with her for the entire meal.

After dinner, we headed to MK for evening EMH, and it was actually pretty crowded. We arrived just in time to find a spot for Wishes, then did Jungle Cruise (better at night!), Haunted Mansion, TTA, and Buzz before deciding we were exhausted and it was time to head back to the room.

Here are 19 of the 390 pics I snapped...

Today we got to sleep in just a bit as the plan was for Blizzard Beach. We arrived right as it opened, and I headed to Summit Plummet to make up for missing out on it last September. I rode it 3 times in a row without waiting at all, and it was just as awesome as I remember as a kid. After that, Lease and I did pretty much every slide in the park within the next 90 minutes, and decided that we had climbed enough stairs, so we headed out. It only took us 2 hours flat to cover the park, love the crowds :) I have a few photos on the point&shoot camera but haven't unloaded it yet so they will have to wait for the real TR.

Since we weren't at Blizzard as long as we expected and didn't really get completely worn out, we decided to skip the nap and headed straight for the Studios after showering back at the room. We grabbed a Fastpass for Toy Story Mania, then grabbed lunch at Backlot Express before waiting 50 minutes in the Toy Story standby line (longest line we've waited in so far by 45 minutes). IT IS A GREAT RIDE!!!!

Next we got a Fastpass for RnRC, rode ToT with little wait, rode RnRC with a bit of a wait, and got a Fastpass for RnRC. That meant that we had a trifecta of Fastpasses (Toy Story, ToT, RnRC) for when we got back from dinner. We headed to DTD for dinner at Raglan Road, and it was very tasty, and also very quick as the restaurant wasn't busy at all at 5pm.

Got back to the Studios at around 7 and used all 3 of our Fastpasses, and it was a really good thing we had them as all the waits had increased due to people arriving to spend the night at evening EMH. When our Fastpasses were gone, evening EMH had started and waits were even longer, so we did the Animation Academy, then the Great Movie Ride, and that was it for the night. It was a great night and our Fastpass strategy paid off, but I'm thinking we should avoid evening EMH from here on out.

i can't believe it - you were at Blizzard Beach when DD was there!!
i think - on monday morning...right?

she said it was great....they did the whole park and then they went back to the pop century to lie by the hippy dippy pool and rest...

she was also at the MK for EMH night...she said the new no wristband policy was a major pain...she said having the CMs read each resort ID for validity dates really slowed down the lines..

she said she's not going to do any more EMH evenings while she's there..

oh...and of course - Your pictures are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that owl shot is unbelievable...but all your shots are gorgeous..
you really should sell them to WDW....best shots i've seen...

Wow. Your owl shot is amazing. When we went in 2006 I had decided I wanted to be the person to have the hawk(I think it was a hawk) take the dollar bill. I am normally a big chicken but wanted to do this so I had my dollar in my hand on the way there so I was ready. My kids said I had my "serious face" and they were laughing at me and no one took my picture!! Maybe next time.
I love your tiger picture. I don't think I have ever seen the tigers do anything but sleep.

I am definitely loving this live update stuff - your enthusiasm and enjoyment really comes through, and, well, the pictures certainly speak for themselves. I really liked the first of the MK fireworks with the castle - REALLY NICE!

Can't wait to see the pictures from MNSSHP - I am willing to bet you have an awesome shot or two of the gravediggers in the parade (possibly my favorite part of the parade - but I don't know, I did enjoy the whole parade a lot).

DD called to say the halloween party was outstanding!!!

she also said that it poured at midnight....
she was taking a picture in front of the haunted mansion and then she said the sky opened as they were heading back...
they ran for cover in peter pan....
the guy said they could come in and get in line (even though it was closing time)..

so they ended up being the very last people to ride....they were the last people people, behind them were two CMs.....and that was it....after that they turned off the ride..

so she thought that was cool...

she said the whole party was totally outstanding....
the fireworks, parade, candy, CMs, no lines, etc etc etc...

Sorry once again for the lack of updates.. we've been stretching ourselves a bit thin, far too thin some days, and have been crashing hard when we get back to the room.

Yesterday, we started in MK for EMH for a few hours, then headed to Epcot for a few more hours, then it was nap time. After the nap, we went to Studios for the rest of the evening so we could catch Fantasmic. The weather turned nasty for a few hours in the evening when an outer band of Ike passed over (that storm is monster sized).

Looks like we are free and clear of Ike today.. we're headed to AK to catch Lion King, then Epcot for World Showcase. I will try to get some photos posted tonight.

Saw you two over on the ToT meet thread, and looking good. Looks like you had good weather and a great turnout. Its fun that you got to see the McNeils again (I've got to admit that I'm a little jealous - not only did we miss seeing you guys by not being there, but we missed out on seeing everybody. The people who don't DIS, and don't take the opportunity to meet fellow DISsers are really missing out.). I apologize for being completely MIA for the last half of the trip (we were completely exhausted by the time we got back to the room every night) and then since we got back. I've had a big case of PDD (post-Disney depression) and I haven't been in the mood to DIS much at all, not even posting to the Picture of the Day thread like I always do. I've spent most of my Disney-related time weeding the rejects out of the 3k+ photos that came home with us.

But I have another excuse, in the form of some very happy news... we invoked the Disney magic and came home with an extra special souvenir! We like to call it our hidden Mickey (or Minnie). Yep, that's right, Lease is due in May 2009! :goodvibes :cloud9:

It definitely means we're done with WDW for a long time (hence the PDD), but we're starting a new chapter in our lives so it's a very good thing. Besides we always said that Disneyland was fair game at any age :)

As far as this trip report goes, I think I'm going to do a proper trip report for this last trip while it is more fresh in my mind, then go back to the January trip. Does that sound like an OK plan?

I've had a big case of PDD (post-Disney depression) and I haven't been in the mood to DIS much at all, not even posting to the Picture of the Day thread like I always do. I've spent most of my Disney-related time weeding the rejects out of the 3k+ photos that came home with us.

But I have another excuse, in the form of some very have some happy news... we invoked the Disney magic and came home with an extra special souvenir!

:woohoo: CONGRATULATIONS!!! :woohoo:

As for the trip report, it makes total sense to work on the most recent.
Your photos are beyond fantastic, and I look forward to seeing them for a long time to come!

I totally get the PDD. The only reason I'm :goodvibes and not :sad1: is that I know when my next trip is.

Our youngest has been to Disney 8 times in her short two years of life!!!!!!! Honestly, they travel well when they are little!!!! LOL....

We decided on our first trip to WDW last year that when we had kids we would wait until they were old enough to have memories of the trip, be able to walk under their own power for the most part, and be at least 48 inches tall. That way we can do everything as a family. DL is totally an option in a couple years though.

I apologize that once again I have disappeared off the face of the DIS (except the Picture of the Day thread which I've tried to post to semi-regularly). Since we learned we were expecting, we have been fairly busy trying to get our priorities in order, and I've been working on a project in my spare time that I hope I can turn into a supplemental income eventually. Also, my post-Disney depression took quite a while to fade... I got 2 months behind in my Disney podcast listening and only recently got caught back up. Most of our Sept trip photos are still waiting to be processed...

But they might have to wait a while longer, because yesterday, we received the most unbelievable, incredible, crazy news of our lives. We went to Lease's first ultrasound, and this is what we saw:

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z112/xavarri/potd/ultrasound1_800.jpg

No, you're not seeing triple. Those are 3 tiny heads!!! TRIPLETS!!!?!?!?!!!

We were just hoping to learn the gender, so this was certainly the shock of a lifetime, I almost hyperventilated and passed out in the ultrasound room, something that has never happened to me before. You all know that this pregnancy was our big WDW souvenir from September.. the Disney magic is more powerful than we expected!!!

We don't know genders yet, only that babies A & B may be identical while C likely is fraternal. Also everyone has been asking if we have any twins in our families, or if fertility drugs were involved, and the answer is no to both.

We're both still in shock a day later, realizing that our preparations and costs just more than tripled, our time left just got majorly cut, Lease will have to quit her job, we don't have a car that will fit 3 car seats, etc etc etc...... It is going to be a crazy, crazy ride but I will try my best to keep updates going here as we have developments.

And thank you all for any moral support you have to give!

Thank you everyone! :grouphug:

The shock is starting to fade and the planning and figuring out logistics has begun. I'm still working and have cut back to just 40 hours a week from here on out. I'm switching roles at work to one where I'll be running around a lot less and no more lifting of boxes. I'll stay working until it's no longer safe for me or the babies, anything we can do to avoid early labor we'll do.

My work has responded to the news of the pregnancy and the triplets with a lot of shock and awe. They didn't know I was pregnant and I just started noticeably "popping" out in the last week. Code has a picture that I'm sure will be posted soonish. I work in a building with 1200 other people, it's the first set of triplets from any employee in the 8 years the site has been open. Suddenly I'm going to have way more attention than I am probably prepared for.

Overall my health is good, I'm still dealing with some morning sickness (well all day sickness really), but it seems to be letting up. Given what my caloric intake is supposed to increase by that is a good thing.

Okay so maybe there is still some shock going on, it's a lot to wrap the mind around. Starting to get excited though, it'll certainly be an adventure and we'll never be bored again. Tomorrow we are going back to Babies r us to start registering, that should be fun.

From what the ultrasound tech and the doctor said I'll be having ultrasounds every 2 weeks for a while and then probably weekly. We'll keep you updated.

I am however totally veto-ing Huey, Duey, and Louie from the possible names list. Names will have to wait until we know genders.

One last thing, we always said we wouldn't take a small child to WDW, we'd wait till 48" tall and old enough to remember. Code was quick to point out since we won't have to go through two pregnancies and waiting for the second child to grow...it's less of a wait to go back (please ignore that this will require a second mortgage to finance).

After learning the genders at the ultrasound today, Lease really wanted to go out and buy an outfit for each baby. We tried to find three Disney outfits that coordinated but weren't identical and we struck out at Target, Walmart, and Shopko, but we found a non-Disney set of outfits that we really liked.

So without further ado...

Wow, congratulations on your three sons Code and Lease! That is awesome news and the outfits are just adorable. You will have your hands full, but the reward will be so worth it!

Have you started to think names yet? Any family ones you have to use or can you run amuck with your choices?

I am so glad the babies are doing well and developing normally. Good news all around.

Okay, here is my suggestion; Michael for the first born. Then you can call him Mick or Mickey for short. The next two could be Walt and Roy, sort of a tribute!!

Have fun with the names and the shopping. Now that you know it will be hard to resist!!

We've been really busy trying to prepare for the babies, planning, organizing, and reading everything we can find . Everyone is doing very well and kicking constantly. I am convinced that I am training a team of ninjas :P

Thanks for sticking with us...the trip report will continue eventually, and I'll work on baby updates. Next ultrasound is Monday.

Just a short update, I had an ultrasound on Monday (they are every 2 weeks still). Everyone looks fine, they boys are estimated at weighing 1 lb 2 oz, 1 lb 3 oz and 1 lb 4 oz which is really good for their gestational age. :thumbsup2

Monday was also my last day at work moved to modified bed rest. At first I was a little freaked out since I've taken less than 2 days off work for sick time in the last 3 years and to just not going into work seems odd. They did take us on a tour of the NICU, the first baby we saw was born at 23 weeks (where I am right now). It was a very strong reminder as to why I should take it easy and prolong this pregnancy for as long as I can for the babies health.

I've been following the thread and I can't believe you're 23 weeks already! Wow! I keep you both in my thoughts and can't wait for more updates too. I was on bed rest with just one baby and we have a family business so I understand how you're feeling about having to be home and away from work, but it will be there after the birth. Except for weeks like I'm having - my little one is home sick with RSV and it's awful! My bed rest was only due to a fractured pelvis that caused me intense pain. Your's is much more important! Take care and can't wait for an update!

I've never been on bed rest for pregnancy, but I was on modified bed rest for ovarian cysts. It wasn't as bad as I have anticipated, although it was only for 5 days. The nice part was it was shortly after our wedding, so I plenty of thank you cards to address.

It is so funny that the title of your tr caught my eye.

I also have trips who will turn 7 in March. What is funny is that my due date was also 5/25 but I gave birth 3/22
I was told the entire time that I was having bbb, and that 2 were identical (A and B) That was until she came out. Apparently there was a seperating membrane that went undetected
our first trip to wdw was when they were 7 months old
Take it easy, rest drink lots of water and most importantly start thinking about buying DVC

Just a short update on the boys. I had a growth scan today and the boys are estimated at 2 lbs 4 oz (A) 2 lbs 5 oz (B) and 2 lbs 4 oz (C) which means they are doing extremely well. Good sized for their gestation and growing at the same rate. I of course am growing at an alarming rate! Nearly 7 lbs of baby at 27 weeks so I'm looking about full term sized and ready to pop. The goal is to carry them for at least 56 more days, by then I'll be measuring about 44+ weeks pregnant :scared1:
We only got 1 good printout of the ultrasound today. It's hard to get "cute" shots when it's so crowded. At one point the tech had on the screen what we could count as at least 4 feet and 2 hands gathered in a small area. It's a mosh pit, but we were able to get all 3 heads in the same shot for the first time since the very first ultrasound. I'll try and get it scanned and posted this week.

Ah .... just think - they are in there just plotting away: "OK guys, our escape plan will be complete in the coming months, so we have to make sure that we remain the center of attention. We are able to do this, but we have to be organized. Once we get out, Huey will take the early shift, Dewey will take the late shifts, and I (Louie) will take the middle shift. Time to give her a couple of kicks, and then we can get back to resting up for the big event."

But then again, they will grow up so fast, and in what seems like an impossibly short period of time, will be fine young men. But no matter how fast they grow up, nobody can take away your wonderful memories (and the great pictures that I'm sure that Code will be taking). And besides, you can still have a lot of fun and a great relationship once they've grown up - trust me on that one!

Think of you guys often - and can't wait for the first family trip to WDW.

Welcome Splashmom and Kschafer :)

I have a bit of an update, no pictures though. I threatened Code's life if any pics of me from this week get posted. Monday I had my first non-stress test and everything looked great. Everything checked out fine with the Dr, but with multiples you never know how quickly things can change.

Tuesday night I started having contractions, when they more than 6 per hour we headed to the hospital. When we checked in the contractions were 2-4 minutes apart. They've been able to slow them back to 6 or 7 an hour, but it looks like I may be staying at the hospital for a while for observation.

Boys look great, heart rates are perfect and they are very very active. We just want to keep them in for as long as possible.

I just read the whole trip report. Sounds like you had a magical time and I loved all the pictures.

Congratulations on the babies. What an amazing blessing. Prayers that they will bake a little longer. Can't wait to see the amazing pictures that daddy will take of these sweet little guys.

I thought I'd posted the boys names before, but guess not. They will be Andrew, Nicholas and Parker. Or as I prefer to say them Nick, Andrew and Parker. NAP...we like naps.

Lisa
stumbled upon the title, and wanted to say congrats, i love the names, but my favorite is parker,

that is my little guys name, he is coming up to his 1 year birthday.

congrats and best wishes.

i just caught your update, i hope everyone is doing well and if they do. have to keep you at the hospital that they at least have some decent food. lol . imagine that. anyway take care. and a little pixie dust for nice healthy babies. there names are adorable, i could just hear myself yelling them down the street for them to come in for dinner. crazy i know but that is what all the moms did when we were kids, so when i was naming my 2nd i made sure that when i yelled their names they sounded good together. so anyway the point of this long rambling is that i think their names sound great together.

You've made it past 30 weeks! That's wonderful. I had a friend who was a neo-natal unit nurse, and she was multiple obsessed. I remember her always telling us that 30 weeks is a magical number for a mother of triplets. Something about everything being somewhat developed I think. I just know that it's good to make it there. Here's to hoping that everything turns out okay. You and all the boys are in my thoughts and prayers! :grouphug:

I just recently came upon your trip report and am so happy for you both! Also, as a side note.....What a great thing you two did, getting in 3 trips to Disney before the baby boom! lol I can hardly wait to see more pictures, but this time I'll be waiting for baby pictures, not just Disney!!

Code & Lease,

I have been off the boards for some time, but just caught up with your 07 report...and found out the incredible news! So happy for you! We have 3 boys (one at a time ) and then a girl...It is so fun having my three sons. You are going to have a blast!

Rest up and take care of each other. We are praying for an on-time delivery and a healthy arrival of your boys and an easy-as-possible transition for you both. The challenging parts will pass quickly. And take lots of pictures! I'm sure we can count on your for that!

Hi Lease and Code. I can guess from your latest update where you guys may be right now, possibly a family of five by now! I am sorry that I have been absent from your journey for the last while. My little boy was born on February 23rd so I have been a bit busy. Not as much as you will be, but busy enough! The last couple of months of my pregnancy were rough and full of major drama, but hopefully I can stop in here more often to see how Nick, Andrew and Parker are doing, along with their mama and daddy.

We called our little boy William, so I guess I will have to fix my signature soon.

Anyway, I have thought of you all often over the last few months and I wanted to say howdy. God bless you all as your journey turns a new page and we pray for a safe and healthy delivery.

Lease and Code - we continue to hold you both, as well as Nick, Andrew, and Parker up in prayer. Oh the anticipation  And I know that there is a package getting ready to head to Utah (I bet it is pretty there this time of year).

And Pl'smama - glad to hear of the successful arrival of William, and that you all are well. A picture might be nice.

Welcome to our new readers! :)

Today is the start of week 31 another milestone, still hoping for 3 more weeks. I have daily ultrasounds and non-stress tests now, the boys all look great. We've seen them taking practice breaths and we seen hair on their heads.

It's pretty much a sure thing that they will keep me in the hospital until delivery, luckily I have a lot of projects to work on (knitting, cross-stitch, crochet) and internet access to keep me from going completely stir crazy.

Next growth scan is on Monday, I'm really looking forward to finding out the estimated weight now. They definitely look bigger and a lot more crowded on the ultrasounds.

Pl'smama congrats on the arrival of William, I'm happy to hear you are both doing well.

Abby's Dad Utah has been pretty, but snowy for the last week. With luck spring will arrive in the next couple weeks. I have a package to send to Abby (I'm such a slacker) hopefully I'll get it in the mail soon.

Hair! They have hair - somehow that seems unfair. I've got seniority - I should have the hair :).

Anyway - sure sounds like the boys are doing well, and mom and dad also. That's great news. And I know that Abby will be totally understanding, and the first person that considers you a slacker will be ....., will be ........, will be consigned to diaper pail duty! :rotfl2:

I know the hospital can be a boring place, but I'm sure that its for the best right now. Good that you have the internet, as well as projects (see - I knew you weren't a slacker :lmao:).

Thanks for the update.

you should be thankful you are not in the hospital where I work... you will be really going crazy... LOL they might put restraining order on me or sent me to our sister hospital... I did that one time to a friend who was confined here for the last 6 weeks of her pregnancy... the lab loved it though coz I always cover for everyone who wants off... now my godson(the baby from that 6 week ordeal) is going to be 5 this June... whew...

so excited for your next scan :goodvibes and regards to Code...

Growth scan day!

In this corner we have baby A at 4 lbs 3 oz, in that corner we have baby B at 4 lbs 4 oz and in that other corner we have baby C at 4 lbs 3 oz!

Everything on the ultrasound looked great. I'm still trying to figure out how over 12.5 lbs of baby fits in my tummy. That's a lot of baby. One of my goals was to have everyone over 4 lbs at birth since it reduces a lot of the risks.

All of the good news makes the hospital stay easier, it certainly gives peace of mind that the boys are being carefully monitored.

Glad they are strappin big boys! Whoo hoo!

You don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but do multiples have to be c-sections?
I had my first two by c-section, and the rest not, so I have sympathy for c-section mommys! :grouphug:

Andrew will be the first born, the other two it depends on the order. We will name one that we know is identical Parker. So it could be alphabetical or names assigned after we meet them.

Not all multiples are delivered C-section. It depends on how they are positioned. With triplets C-section is common since it's hard to track all of the babies heart rates during delivery. In my case we are opting for a scheduled C-section because it's easier to monitor the babies and two are transverse so it's the only option anyway.

Thanks for the update. How's Code holding up?

I think he's doing pretty good. He'll respond soon I think. Kind of hectic for him to be going to work everyday then coming to see me plus taking care of everything at the house. He's been wonderful delivering snacks and necessities from home.

I hadn't thought about how to do that. I've only ever had to name one at a time. :lmao:

Well, then we'll add that to the prayers! C-section isn't my preferred delivery method, but it is VERY helpful in situations like yours. Just make sure you remember it is MAJOR surgery, and have people wait on you hand and foot for 6-8 weeks. People tend to think it's not that big a deal, but recovery time is REALLY important if you want to be the best, healthy, and rested momma you can be! :grouphug:

Pl'smama congrats on the arrival of William, I'm happy to hear you are both doing well.

Thanks Lisa, I appreciate it! I am so happy for you guys that the boys are all over the four pound mark with time to grow still. That is amazing. You are obviously doing everything right by them. That makes you an awesome mama already!!!

Do you currently listen to any sort of music while you mark off the days on your calander? Do you plan to listen to music during the delivery? I am just being nosy, but I found it helped me. I to had a section and my wonderful doctor let us play our own music. Unfortunately I can't remember what William was born to ( my mind was a bit pre-occupied!), but I do remember that my DD was born to "American Pie", but the Madonna version! It is makes for some interesting memories at any rate.

Keep up the good work and hi to Code! Tons of blessings and prayers are on their way.
