Got most of it done. Now I am doing the overweight shuffle to make sure I do not pay an charge for heavy luggage. My bag is already at 48 lbs. I only have to throw in the stuff we use during the week (sandals, comb, brush, etc.). But the bags are already by the livingroom door!!! :cool1:

I wish I could pack my stuff. Son too nosey. I am getting the last of the toiletries tomorrow. Getting up at 6am to go to the hairdresser at 7am and then go to work. Getting braids. Have to go to Verizon Wireless tomorrow. Hubby's phone is shot so I have to replace it. Nails Tuesday. Feet Wednesday. Oh yeah. Getting school supplies tomorrow. Can pick those up on the way home from work. Store is on the way to the subway. Also meeting Uncle for lunch tomorrow. Whew. Oh yeah. Got to get blank tapes for the video camera. Get batteries for the spray fan. yeah it works tried it with other batteries. Thursday and Friday should be light days. And Saturday the laundry then I will be done. Don't want to wash his clothes during the week when I have to do it again on Saturday anyway. Hopefully hubby will get his school gear. If not, have to do that on the way home. Store is on the way to subway as well. Next door to school supply store. No biggie.

I can't pack yet. The kids would be naked! LOL! As much as that sounds easier for me......:rotfl2: But I have the cases in the family room and am throwing things in little by little.
I am cleaning the house and cooking dinners for my Grandmother who is staying behind. I have all our things ready but I have to do a store run on Friday or Sat. for Grams for things like milk and cakes, etc. Then DONE!
School supplies bought and in backpacks.:thumbsup2
Toiletries in cases :thumbsup2
Lists completed and Grams emergancy phone list :thumbsup2
Dinners....almost done :thumbsup2
Just have a soccer practice on Thur and one on Sat. And we will be packed and waiting to go!:cool1:

Hair done. Schools supplies bought. School uniforms bought. Just bought toiletries. All I need is Sunscreen, Lotion, Batteries and Tapes for the Camcorder. Oh yeah, my nails and feet done. Sunday isn't coming quick enough. Anyone hear of a Tropical Depression in the Atlantic? May cause problems for Florida in the next 8 days? Hope not. Will check and advise.

I heard about that depression and read something that a high pressure system which is keeping Fla. hot is also (as of now) going to keep that pressure to the south. Let's hope that's right.:shamrock:

I hope you are right. I checked Weather.com and of course scattered showers the week we are there but you know how that is. Rain 1 min. Sun the next. BTW that reminds me, have to get ponchos. I have got everything I need. Now the only things left to do is Manicure, pedicure and wash clothes, straighten out house and pack.

I have been watching that disturbance too!! The lastest I have heard is that it will probably not turn into anything. Now I have to get my body ready for the heat again since it is 57 degrees here in NY today.
I packed my DS6 and got most of my things. I want to go to the Disney store once more just to look :rotfl: and the my toes done. Battereis for the camera and for the spray fan and then pack me and my DS14. I'm feeling bad about leaving DH behind this time but it's just my sis-her DS and DD, my friend and her DS and meeting us down there is my dad and mom who left on July31st and are driving down the long way from Long Island and meeting us at SSR on the 27th.!!!!!

I know the weather here is crappy. :guilty: I ran out during my lunch break to pick up things so I am basically done. I packed the cosmetic bag. I am charging the video camera. Put the blank tapes in the camera bag. Made sure the digital camera is in the bag with the extra batteries and the charger. Had to sneak that while my son was playing a video game. He is totally clueless. :rolleyes1 Hubby is getting the batteries for the spray fan and I need two ponchos. My son's still fits. Get those from the 99 cent store. Do my nails during my break tomorrow and then do my feet the next day during lunch. I put all the toiletries in baggies. Putting the larger ones in baggies and then packing them in my suitcase. Have all my clothes together in my closet. I have an idea what I am packing for my son but have to do laundry on Sat. :laundy: Ask me what my hubby has done?:confused3 He always does things last minute. What else is new?:sad2:

Funny. I just pack for me and my 2 boys and hubby's on his own. I make sure all the laundry's done so he has plenty of clean clothes to pick from, but other than that, he's on his own. And he won't worry about packing until the night before. Then he'll be "how long are we there for?? What are you bringing?? What's the weather going to be like?" :confused3

I see why you are leaving on the 3rd. We are leaving on the 2nd but our flight doesn't leave until 8:50pm. We should get back to NY at 1130pm. By time we get to the hotel, we have to go to AK for our 6pm reservation at Boma. Then we will either go to MK- they have EMH that night or to DTD - Disney Quest. I have a feeling we will be going to DTD.

I don't think we are going to do the park. We will have to think about dinner once we arrive. So we are debaiting on staying at the hotel and just swimming and doing dinner. Or heading into DTD too. I am thinking the hotel and swimming sounds good myself. LOL!

I have to finish my laundry too and pray that it dries. My dryer isn't working and the weather is awful here. The only stuff I packed so far is all the medications that I'm going to bring like my allergy stuff, tylenol and stuff in case the kids get colds. Oh yeah, I overpack. :rotfl: I think I'm behind you guys so I better get going with the packing. My DH has it so easy. He throws his underwear, a few shirts and pants in the suitcase and he's all done. I'm the one who has to make sure everything else is packed.
I just came back from the dentist because a filling fell out last Friday and I didn't want anything interfering with eating my free food, so I made sure it got fixed.:lmao: The best part is that they fixed it for free because I guess this dentist saw that the first one didn't do a good job, so now I can use the money I expected to use today at Disney! :cool1:
So now I still have to pack and then do my nails. DH has to buy more cat litter because we don't have any at all and we have to fill up 3 litter boxes while we're gone. If we don't, Dusty will pee on the couch like she did last time the pans weren't clean enough for her. He also has to do the lawn because I don't want to come back to a house that looks like a huge mess.

Yeah I was going to do carmel cab service but it will cost about $40. Its an extra 5 bucks for living above 125 St. So $32 for tolls included works for me.

I got mine in Target near the camping stuff. They were a little less than $1 each. I don't know if you live anywhere near my neck of the woods, but a little store on Flatbush Ave in Marine Park called Sarelli's had a bunch of clear ones in a 2 pack for $1.

We are doing long term in Philly and it is $9 a day. Still comes to be about $80 something but better than $200!! DH wants his sister to drive us there so we won't have to even pay that. We own a 7 passanger minivan. YOu know....one of those without a trunk!!!! There is already 5 of us (one with a carseat). Add a driver, that is 6. If she brings her boyfriend, that is 7. We have 6 large suitcases and carryons. Where does he plan on sticking all this?:confused3 :sad2:

Another miracle, the sun came out so the laundry that is hanging on the line will dry! Now I can pack the rest of the underwear and stuff.
I spent the whole morning looking for my camera battery charger. I was frantic and asked DH if he touched and and he swore he didn't. I finally found it in the closet in my dining room (thank you St. Anthony!!!). If he didn't touch it, I guess it just jumped in there by itself! He's lucky I found it because I was just about to get another one sent overnight from Amazon and it would have cost over $60! :scared1:
I didn't realize that I have so much left to pack and I still feel like I'm going to forget something.

I am a 911 supervisor here in the city. I work for one of the Deputy Commissioners. Had one of my bosses call the precinct (as a courtesy) since he knows the Commanding Officer to see if its okay to park close to my home and not all the way down at 1 Police Plaza. He said no problem so I will park the car late Saturday night and cab it to the airport sunday morning. Its a great blessing. Instead of paying that astronomical fee at the long term parking lot. $30 for the first two days ($60) and then $8 every 8 hours (thats $24 a day for 6 days- thats $144). NO telling when we get back so add another $8 so thats about $212.

I am glad our flight is not that early. We leave at 8am from the house. Get to the airport about 8:30 and our flight leaves at 11:10am. I hope.

4am:scared1: Yeah my kids would love that!!:sad2: LOL!
Harlem- how do you plan and pack for a trip and not have your son know? There is no way I could accomplish that. Someone would be nosing around. Good luck! How are you going to explain the flight! LOL!

Packing was easy. He was watching HS Musical and I just took the laundry (like usual) and folded it and paired shirt and shorts at the same time. When he wasnt looking I took his clothes to the room. Instead of going to his room I went to mine and just put stuff in his suitcase. He was in the front of the house in the living room while I was in the back. The suitcase was sitting on my floor for a week because I had just came back from Atlantic City and just left the suitcase sitting there. So he paid it no mind.
As for him knowing. Mickey Mouse is calling the house at 7:15am (Sunday) and he will say good morning, Your mom told me you are going on a trip. I am here with Goofy and Donald and we might go fishing. Hope to see you real soon.
I got this idea from someone on this board under another title. Its called Enchanted Calls. You can schedule a Disney character to call your home or cell phone and praise them for doing chores, call them to wish them a happy birthday and other things. So I will have the camcorder handy to tape his reaction. There would have been no way I would have been able to get him on the flight and him not knowing. The plane will probably be filled with kids.
