Hi everyone-
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to access the search function...
We're considering a cabin category 11. We have two children who will be 6 and almost 9 when we cruise. Are those rooms comfortable to stay in? Any information you have about the room would be most welcome. Also, we're planing to go on the Western cruise. Do we need to book excursions?

The category 11 was fine for all 4 of us....dd (10) slept in the bunk that our host pulled down from the ceiling each night) and ds(2) slept on the couch made into a bed. Dh and I enjoyed the twin beds pushed together into a king. The bathroom in an 11 is smaller than a cat. 10, but we managed okay. The $ saved was used on excursions. We enjoyed being in an inside room because my 2 yr old took a nap, and the darkness made it easy. The only thing we ***ed about was the coffee table....it always seemed in the way, but I think unless you go for a big room, you'll just have to work around it.

We were three adults and a 4 year old child in our cat. 11. We managed just fine. Bathroom was a little small but there is a nice area in front of the master bed for applying makeup and plugging in curling irons, ect. The coffee table WOULD have been in the way but we moved it to in between the bathroom and the closet and opened up a suitcase on it. Worked just great! Happy cruising!!

We had an 11(5013) and found the size fine. We had 2 adults, a 3.5yo, who slept in the loft, and an 8 mo, who slept in a crib. We had plenty of storage space, even for our double/sit & stand carriage. The room was much bigger than I had expected. I would stay in an 11 again, if I couldnt get a secret porthole room(which I got for my next cruise).

We did Cat. 11s till we discovered the secret porthole rooms. There are only two of us, and we found Cat. 11s to be fine...actually quite roomy compared to some of the staterooms we've been in on Royal Caribbean! Stateroom size is one of the things I love about DCL.

But has anyone with 4 adults ( or 2 adults and 2 teens) satyed in Cat 11? Believe me, even sleeping the teens take up as much room as an adult!

Don't have experience with either but just a thought, what about connecting rooms with others in your party? That way you could access to 2 bathrooms at a time. Someone else posted that basically the staterooms are the same size just the location is different unless you are in the higher cat. I would save the money from the higher cat. and have more spending money. Maybe limit the time for each girl in the bathroom, take one of the kitchen timers and set so they will know each gets the same amount of time, plus there in the desk area with the mirror that can be used for makeup and hair too.:smooth:

We stayed in a category 11 with one teen and a tween, and there was plenty of room. (Also, it was me and a friend, so basically 4 separate sleeping areas needed.)
The pull down bed and the couch configuration are both full size twin beds, once their made up. Also, the mattresses are as thick as a conventional bed.
