Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but it is good news for a lot of us Canadians!

The Simplified Passport Renewal Process offers an opportunity for Canadian citizens to replace their passports without having to resubmit documents to support their application and guarantor information.

To be eligible to participate in this project, an applicant must
- live in Canada,
- have been at least 16 years of age at the time of their previous application,
- have a 5-year-validity passport issued after January 31, 2002 in Canada, that has not been altered or damaged, or reported as lost or stolen,
- have lived in Canada when their last passport was issued, and
- apply using the same name that appears on the previous (expiring/expired) passport.

For more information you can go to the Passport Canada website

Yes, but at least now finding a guarantor will be much easier. Anobody with a valid passport can do. No hunting a doctor, dentist, engineer or such. Well, I just lost half the fun of being a professionnal engineer!!:lmao: :lmao:
